Honestly I really enjoyed the first 2 parts, but kinda disappointed with this last one and how they ended the story. But really enjoyed seeing Swamp Thing make an appearance, and regardless of how I feel about this last issue, I absolutely freakin LOVE the artwork of Batman Damned. It is so unique and almost like hyper-real. I really hope to see more from this artist in the future!

Damned offers much more of supernatural tone while playing tricks with your head! I'm going to have checkout for more brain azzerello, I admire how he dive into the subconscious of bruce wayne&displayed how the symbol is a "nightmare ",as if death had been following Wayne all along. Very chilling and a creepy take,truly living up to the nickname, "dark knight "! I remember azzerello in a interview once saying,"who would really want to be batman?" Pointing out how wayne literally witnessed the murder of his parents! Azzerello's feelings toward batman are shown here in "damned "!(very fitting title)😎 definitely a psychological thriller with horror (supernatural)elements and adding Constantine who deals with the dead as a career, deadman and swamp thing was very fitting for this particular plot,which I'd put up there after Miller's dark knight(being superior, dark knight) not knowing that Damned is a sequel to Joker!
I thought seeing as it was an elseworlds story and you saw characters that usually deal with dead people in some way. That the twist was him going too far with the Joker and then dying in the process as well. Spending this book having to come to terms with his own death. It doesn't really make sense that this version of batman wouldn't have become a student of magic to learn how to beat it if the enchantress story is supposed to be real. I get that Batman usually hates magic but the reason he becomes Batman in most universes is because of a criminal. So if you change the cause of their deaths then it stands to reason he would pick another cause to fight.
So if i understand this story batman was fighting the joker he didnt hold back hesitated to save him and by doing that he broke his one rule and now his counsicnes is getting to him because he let the joker win by not holding back and not saving him at least thats what i got out of this?
