One of the best reviews I’ve seen for keyboards on TH-cam. Loved the regular guy with a straight forward approach and an honest opinion. I have an EA7 myself and must admit that some functions are pretty intuitive whilst some are fairly convoluted and complicated unnecessarily
Yes, the keybed is difficult to control piano sounds and any sounds that require a delicate velocity. But it is the keybed, not the synth engine, I am now controlling my E-A7 from a Roland RD-2000 keyboard and I can now easily control any sounds velocity. I just gave away my Medeli AKX-10 because it was impossible to control even from my RD-2000. Plus the Medeli was anti-creative, the style creator and one touch settings were very limiting and I just gave up on it after a year of trying different velocities and key touch curves. The Medeli had one of the best touch screens I had ever used, large and responsive, so sad to have to give up on it.
Guys this keyboard is so easy to use. You dont have to deepdiving into the menu. Everything on the knobs available. And the 2 screens working perfect together. Please dont tell shit if you dont know how to use it and if you did not know how Rolands philosophy is behind these arranger. So bad reviews here.
hey man is it possible to change global reverb type, I looked everywhere and been through every single menu but I only found reverb types for input EFX but nothing for tones, tones only has reverb amount I know that but I want to change like from hall to spring reverb.
If you knew anything about pianos, you would realize that that is what it’s supposed to do pianos sound differently when you hit the keys harder or softer and if you don’t like that, Keyboard does that that makes no sense because that just makes it more realistic
Honestly speaking, I have one too, pretty powerful styles/beats, nice tones as well but it is an unnecessarily complicated instrument. What I mean is not user-friendly for a one-man show performance. Most of the tones are dry and when try editing it says sorry cannot edit this tone, secondly, the drums, bass, and accompaniments are not uniform, especially drum drops to a value of 58 when I want it on 102, and if you adjust it once and change the style or the tempo it jumps back to 57 or so. I saved my settings on a USB but the problem lingers. Plus there are no tutorials online and if there are they are in some foreign languages. Is there any help available please? Thanks.
@wildernessmusic1068 most of the internal tones are not editable, neither can they be opened in the tone editor. But you can create new tones, use the internal pcm samples, and that way you can edit all the parameters of the partials, and this synth has an engine almost as powerful as the new Zen Core engine.
Man, you did a super bad review. I own this Roland EA7 and its great. I wondering if you really could play. E mens Expandable en A means Arranger. This arranger has functions that even a Korg or Yamaha doesnot have today. Such a shame that you did this bad review. It has to be forbidden.

It's not Synthesizer! This is different. It is arranger keyboard
Has to be the worse sound quality especially considering you tube has been going since the days of tape 🤦🤦
