Those leather cracks/tears at the heel, are they from not using a shoehorn to put on? 🤔 I have plenty of shoes I can slip into without, then those pesky, always the higher end ones, I start to, abort and go find where I set a shoehorn down the last time. Seems like that's what would happen if I didn't. 😜
They hold up pretty well. I’ve got a pair of strand’s and some chukka in cordovan. The strands are super comfortable and have seen nearly daily use over three-four years. What I prefer to both of these, however, are Aldens. Have a pair of their dress boots and the build quality is better imo.

You do better. I have the same pair in burgundy. Tough to clean. Try to remove the polish with acetone first, then apply renovator before applying shoe cream. Clean the inside of the flap too. Apply brass cleaner to the buckle for a good clean shine. Also, apply mirror shine to the whole shoe, not just the tips. The design is too elaborate for a toe mirror shine. This design is based on the classic Budapester correspondence model. No need for a distracting high gloss. Allow the complex design to speak for itself without the glossy toe or gloss the entire shoe to enhance the design. Let the cream dry overnight for an easier, cleaner shine. Brush the entire shoe, even underneath the flap. Careful with the buckle. Cover it in tape and secure the straps. An old pair of women’s pantyhose gives a brilliant finishing shine to the whole shoe.
