I wish they’d ask her more about Revolutionary Road, when she reteamed with Leo in 2006… it’s my favorite, and gets no love..the best musical score I’ve heard in decades..
First comment. Also James Cameron got really sick of people asking that question, so he did an experiment to prove that only one person could fit on the door.
It’s like doing a show and saying something funny ONCE that becomes iconic and then spending 30 freaking years having strangers screaming it at you in the street or being asked about it in every interview when you have other amazing works to talk about. It’s like every time I have a job interview all I hear is “so why were you in prison?” “Why did you k!ll that van full of men?” “Why are you crying?”. It’s so annoying.
Aren't we all the fact it is even a debate is pointless. Whist they may have both been able to fit on the door, it would have pushed it further into the water, meaning they both likely would die. Also, to debate it, is to miss the point of the film entirely.
It's ridiculous and disrespectful, because the Titanic was a real event, and a real tragedy. And the one thing people want to focus on is a fictional event, that never happened. The Titanic tragedy was so long ago, that people no longer care about the lives lost. They don't even recognize it as a real thing that actually happened. It makes me sad, because eventually, when they make the definitive 9/11 movie, people will be so far removed from 9/11, that they won't care about the tragedy that happened on 9/11. They're only gonna care about some small insignificant detail that happened in that movie, that was completely fictional. And they won't care about the actual events that actually happened that day. We're already seeing it happen with the holocaust. And that wasn't even 100 years ago. And america literally elected hitler 2.0, who wants to put immigrants, gay people, and people of color in concentration camps. As well anybody who opposes him politically.
But i think the questions is kind of dumb/ silly and answer itself. Why? well cause we can clearly see that only by herself the door or whatever with her weight is like struguling to stay above is kind of sinking a bit. imagine him getting on it i think it would sink. I dont think it would have carrie the 2 of them together.
How about, did your character really have to throw away a diamond conservatively worth a quarter of a billion dollars? If you were given the choice today, would you throw away money like the bourgeoisie you supposedly turned your back on, or would you choose not to screw over Bill Paxton and instead give him the diamond provided that at least half the money goes to charities including housing the homeless and those that help struggling artists and actors? Good for you, you lived your life and got by without needing to cash in on Cal's gift, don't you think it was selfish to throw it away knowing how many people it could have helped, how many lives could have been saved? Would it have killed you to realize that many people are not so lucky?
On Tubi TV, there is a very cheap knockoff sequel of Titanic, called, "Titanic 2", starring Dick Van Dyke's Grandson. The writers were clearly those who didn't agree on Rose being the only one who survived out of the two lovers...
Titanic is the biggest grossing movie of all time. This question should be the least of her worries. Either embrace it and make it fun or don’t do interviews anymore like Beyoncé. The 60 min reporter wasn’t rude. Kate’s response was & She’ll be begging for any kind of questions when her acting career is irrelevant. Also Graeme, pls stop coddling these very rich white woman. First Blake lively, then Selena Gomez (white passing), now Kate? It’s getting almost as cringey as your puns
Maybe she should get shirts made up for interviewers that says 'please stop asking about the fucking door.'
The problem isn't fitting on the door, it's getting on it without turning it over.
Also sinking with the weight
Agree with Graeme. Kate is legit one of the best actresses to ever do it. There is plenty of brilliant work to ask her about.

Oh please most of the general audience only knows her from that movie 😂 she should be grateful people even know about her

Glad she has a sense of humor about it.

I just watched Titanic again and they actually both tried to get on the door and it flipped.

She's great , love her New Zealand 🇳🇿 film Heavenly Creations
asking her until shes 99 yrs old 😂😂
Graeme, we need you to start interviewing!!
My question for her: what attracted Iris to a red-flagged guy like Jasper? (The Holiday is my bible)

Here you are discussing it, again. Enough already.
