What a tune , Reminds me of the summer of 1990. The days when you could dance for hours everywhere and be who you wanted to be without someone sticking a camera phone in your face.
The youth of today will never understand how good dance music was in our days,so glad I was I was born in the 1970s and old enough to fully enjoy the 1980s and 1990s dance music which has been lost now.But glad to re live thanks guys like you on you tube....peace
born in 68, was 22 when this any many others came about. nothing like this had been heard before late 80,s early 90,s. great days for music. plus the world wasnt quite as fucked up as it is now, that helped. :)
A perfect and classic example of how to construct a timeless rap dance track using samples to good and creative effect. Pure genius. Thank you to all that made this possible.
Omg... been looking for this mix for years... just had a bed dance with my missus also my age, and reminiscing about the quantity of commercial dance “back then” compared to the abundant 100bpm stuff that just seems to churn out nowadays. Thanks for this upload, partly made my year a good one 😀
memories of Ibiza 90 ... when Manumission was known as Ku ... Eden was Star but Es Paradis and Amnesia were there ..... wish we could travel back in time, happy days E
It maybe Euro-House but it's Royal House a Masterpiece Of Programming one of my All time Dance Music Faves , Deserves an " AWARD " So I present to you this luvly Comment ,big up & thank you Twenty 4 Seven 😀
as others have said THIS is THE version, awesome. Forget all those shitty remixes that all used that crass 'Ahh Yeah' sample a million and one times - this is the real deal, thanks man.
I was born in the 70's and saw all this come around. I Loved it so much. Music of today is nothing like the 90's. Nitro Deluxe - Let's Get Brutal, S-express. its all good. it all started going weird around 1998. Good times though. :)
I agree. In spite of all this technology, I still find music from said era's so much more inspirational. The artists producing for the love of the music rather than merely singing to the tune of the distributors..
Prog house at around 1996 was great. Tribal house up until about 2006 was also great. Then it all went to crap for me, minimal and tame bleepy stuff churned out on computers so it all sounds very similar.
jiggarypokery I still have this on Vinyl Club Mix 9mins 41seconds ...It was originally out 1989/90 Feat Mc Fixxit ....they must of asked Captain Hollywood to do a new Rap over the hiphouse backing track ... Mcfixxt later Rapped on " Cappella & Anti-Cappella Tunes
I owned the limited edition German CD-single of this, but much to my chagrin the disc got scratched beyond repair. So it was with unbridled delight that I've been able to rediscover both this and the dub version here. One of the most fantastic dance remixes ever!
This is superb dance. This sounds super on a waltzer in the funfair. Try it and watch the crowd go wild. It goes so well with the frantic rides of a fair....
this was pure cheese Euro back In UK dance charts 1993/94 ... listening to it now is I think it is House Royalty :) it stands out with that big "Bobby Byrd "Sample Beat ....Massive
I was a great fan of Twenty 4 Seven although they were way outside my normal remit of Dep mode, Cure, New Model Army, Violent Femmes, Pixies and mainly what at the time was classed as 'Alternative' music and launch me in to what i call the dark side LOL. A friend posted up on FB about Capt Hol tonight, it finally brought me to this version of the track (not a fan of the 'official' video version). So after moving house 7 yrs ago and finally getting to sort out the vinyl collection only 4 weeks ago, I was now able to just reach for the 12" I Can't Stand it remix by Bruce Forest For the DMC UK 9:35 Club Remix, I used to drop when I ended up DJing nights of this style. I also have the 12" of Are you dreaming Bruce Forest Remix 6:53. Never did get a 'Twenty 4 Seven Slipmat!' though!!!
The original version with Khalid Mohammed sample was better anyway ! ..the first version I heard whilst holidaying in Spain , August 1990 ..was playing everywhere ..good memories..still love the tune ..well done for making such a mark in my youth ..respect x
Thankyou!! I have been looking for this for ages,it just brings back the most beautiful memories with friends having the time of our lives back in the day, when The Love was alive and kicking,it's still alive it just needs a good kicking,Bring it back, now is the time for a new era, today's music is history that will be long forgotten....

Thanks for the compliments. A little bit o' trivia from the mix...the bassline is a copy of Love Hangover by Diana Ross. I was messing around with a keyboard and played that as a joke, and it just sounded right. So it stayed. B)
Ahhh so you're the one responsible for my neighbors hating me every time I would blast this tune out back in the 90's. I loved this version more than the chart version as I heard this version first, which made the chart version not sound right after the female vocals part. I like to dabble in making music myself using samples using the old Commodore Amiga as my sampler sequencer. Ive had that Amiga since 1990, wow.
Surprise - it's me Yeah Hollywood the down M.C. absolutely agree! this was one of the tracks that got me into dance music at the tender at of 9, amazing track
I agree I hear mixes of tunes I raved to in the early90$ , in songs my daughter is in to now but it'll never be the same , best day's of my life 😐
The youth of today missed out !
Yes I agree with you. Very modern funky music with heart- thumping beats. Good rap.

Great upload, superb track. Party time!
That piano intro....😲omg!!!
A perfect and classic example of how to construct a timeless rap dance track using samples to good and creative effect. Pure genius. Thank you to all that made this possible.
The sample from the Godfather's of techno is the main reason I love this trax. KRAFTWERK Thank You for introducing the world to Electronic and Techno.

Ah, I remember this. Great track, even has a Kraftwerk sample.
Just noticed my comment from 7 years ago!

I was 17 when this came out,the right time to be young and free
Awesome mix. A sweet jam I hadn't heard since '93. Good times, no?
By far the best mix and the one that was released in the U.K.
I've been after this version for about 10 years. Now I'm happy! Awesome and then some !
as others have said THIS is THE version, awesome. Forget all those shitty remixes that all used that crass 'Ahh Yeah' sample a million and one times - this is the real deal, thanks man.

Alan Reader Yeah i agree...ive always said that...from 1998...it started going downhill. I blame shitty uk garage! fucking hated that shite!
Prog house at around 1996 was great. Tribal house up until about 2006 was also great. Then it all went to crap for me, minimal and tame bleepy stuff churned out on computers so it all sounds very similar.
at last found it, reminds me of my 1st holiday abroad with mates.

This is the version I knew from back in the day. I played to death back then. Still sounds great today and actually quite and futuristic
This is the best version! 👍
I first heard this on the Now Dance 12"s and i am the same...this version i felt had so much more depth and feeling.
this song reminds me of my university days back in '93. Oh my god - I am 20 again !

Absolutely. Just such a cool, chilled out dance track. I want to turn the clock back..!
This reminds me of 1991 when I was finishing my A levels.
I owned the limited edition German CD-single of this, but much to my chagrin the disc got scratched beyond repair. So it was with unbridled delight that I've been able to rediscover both this and the dub version here. One of the most fantastic dance remixes ever!

I know this is the version I love :-) The other is crap
@@damian-795 Indeed it was. There is nothing of the original left on this track except the lead vocal.
Im going to play this at all the festivals this summer....

No, I didn't get clearance. Yes, we got sued, but Kraftwerk are great guys, and they only asked for a publishing share.
