I have the 5.9:1, and it works amazing for yellowtail here in cali. Smooth cast and retrieve. Great drag system

I caught a bunch of Pacific Yellowtails on my Alijoz spooled with 65lb braid and 30lb fluoro leader line on a Serpent 15-65lb 7'9" MH rod.
This reel with a daiwa DX swimbait rod is fantastic.

I just picked up an Aliojs 8.1:1 for a jerk/twicth bait set up for muskies. WOW, This is a very nice reel!!! I'm very impressed with Piscifun. I'm ging to give the Serpent casting rod a shot for my downsized musky setup next.
I need a bass fishing reel for freshwater the Abu Garcia broke on me and was a pro max I just want a new reel that can the rivers and stuff And I can put 20 pound Braided line

I'm a die-hard Lew's fan. Have bought over 15 Lew's reels in the last 3 years.
I bought my first Alijos in late 2019, when it was spelled with an "S". Used it originally to throw big Swimbaits for bass, paired with a Curado 8'0" H rod. (This was the 5.9:1 with the dual handle.) Moved to Texas a year ago, and used this combo to throw big cut bait with 5 oz lead to catch whatever bites. Have caught several stingray, black tip shark, and maybe even a big ugly. (Black drum) This reel just works the way it should, and smooth as silk. I'm not good about reel maintenance... I don't clean and lube reels the way they should be cared for. I don't rinse the salt water off with freshwater. I don't store them in clean, dry places. I use my gear and it gets put where it gets put when I'm done. But this reel has impressed me so much that I bought 2 more last week. The thing that impresses me the most, isn't that it can cast 5 oz. 100+ yards, but that it does it so smoothly, and the drag is smooth all this time later as well. It's just a fantastic reel at a fantastic price. I'll probably take a closer look at some of the other Piscifun reels as well.

So how water resistant is it for using it in the saltwater?
Good as any low pro like a tranx. Keep it lubed. My alejos is still very smooth even after two heavy salt seasons In my yak. I just put a drop of reelx on each spool bearing after use.
Should adjust the camera to get everything in one picture. All I seen is someone holding a rod then the camera stops and starts again to a fish scale showing 34lbs. Get someone to physically walk from the person holding the rod to the fish scale.
Sorry, i forgot to mention that i live in South Africa and mainly fish largemouth bass.

I wonder if you can cast a soft plastic bate such as a fluke or stickworm with this reel? I must say that it looks really impressive. I am looking for a reel that will be able to cast a variety of baits from small to large.
The Alijoz is a bit too large for casting small baits like those

Hi I have never used a bait caster type reel in my life (im 62) but want to try the piscifun alijos 300 reel for surf fishing...... I use a 4 meter long rod and sling a minimum of a 4oz sinker, 50kg braid with 2 hooks and large baits...... is this reel capable of handling this type of setup. Am I wasting my time and money even trying something like this...... you advise would be most helpful....... Cheers

I think they make a 400 series. Maybe 100 meters of 110lb braid. It fits 205meters of 40lb braid
