BC Place stair gaps, yes! - now that is real OG old school! Love it. Great vid. Shout out to all the riders from the NSX and Kranked and NWD era who are still shredding!
"Ahead of our time". So true. The time arround the 2000 was such an golden era for freeriding. And Wade Simmons was the sickest rider. This dude is like metallica in metal: Paved the way and inspired following generatins. I can still remember when i was glued to the tv when the first Kranked movies came out. It was new, fresh and these guys killed it. I wittnest the birth of a new sport and i was a rider myself. Great times !
I love old school. I'm old school. This bike is purely beautiful. And this video is arguably one of the best mtb videos ever. Oh, and I love the roof drop.
Always feel such a deep connection to footage like this since I'm from the Greater Vancouver Area. Wade Simmons bombing stairs outside BC Place? Like North Shore Extreme all over again. Just watching this makes me wanna pull out all the classic VHS tapes I have. Kranked/Torque/NSX. If they made this bike I'd buy it and get back into MTBing (I rode from the year 2000 til 2011). My buddy still has his 1999 Pipeline, Purple and Yellow, with modern brakes and suspension. People go crazy over it every time he rides Whistler.
I remember getting Kranked III in elementary school, had to be 98-99. It was an amazing time for freeride, each film going that much further than the one before it. This video just sold me on a Rocky being my next bike.
Just started watchin all the old freeride videos from 20 years ago when my buddy was gettin me into to and just stumbled across this. Cool to see the ambleside skate park in there. I did all the excavation work for it
Man this video is still sick. That would be cool if they offered a limited run of that frame. At the rates bikes are sold out these days it would probably be expensive tho..
Wade Simmons, to me you are an icon of mountain biking, a true legend. Ride To The Hills was the greatest MTB movie ever, my first YT upload 10 years ago was a short clip from it. (th-cam.com/video/IoivoZnnwkY/w-d-xo.html) Love the Pipedream too, reminds me of my first fully, a Jamis Dakar. Wish you guys many happy years in the saddle!
The comments on this video are pure gold. Somehow they epitomize my connection with freeriding from the late 90s to the early 2000s. I recently bought my first RM7 and am building it up so that I can get that oldschool feel once again. Cheers to all you kids who grew up watching RidetotheHills, NewWorldDisorder, Kranked, Down, etc. . I made a 10minute bike video out of old footage from when we were kids. Check it out: th-cam.com/video/D8yBqk7rBz4/w-d-xo.html

This needs to be an anniversary production bike for sure.... thats one of the most beautiful framesets ive seen
OMG, those stair gaps at BC Stadium in Vancouver at the end of the video was one of THE monumental spots that defined freeriding like 20 years ago!

So classic - Wade is hilarious as always! Great video - LOVE the old video clips of Wade stomping too.
This is genius, and to be fair has made me look at RM as a mountain bike brand again. Wade is the OG, i can relate to him now as an older rider.
