Do you fix up a tarp on the opening to stop the snow coming into the sawing area and off of the machinery. We get very little snow in the south of the UK but this year is has been very wet. Love to all from the UK
I am married to a wife Which is as dear to me as life itself, But life itself, my wife, and all the world Are not with me esteemed above thy life. I would lose all, ay, sacrifice them all Here to this devil, to deliver you. Shakespeare, The Merchant of Venice, Act 4, scene 1
Great job Eddie , terrific angles seems like youre getting the hang off the cameras, mind the shades otherwise spectacular job , thank you for the video
Hello everybody. Those stacker boxes might be the best thing since peanut butter and jelly. Great innovation of an idea. At least it isn't 16' 2x4's yes?
You are the smart one sitting in a heated cabin. It looks cold outside. Yuck I still think you all should come up with a calendar idea for word of the day and feature photos of you, Mark ZZ,, the mill, the yard, the equipment, etc and deep thoughts you offer for the word of the day. Our country needs your kindness and insight more now than ever. This would sell!!! There are a tremendous amount of your viewing public that have no idea of what a Pennsylvania (East Coast) saw mill is like, what it's for and who runs it.
That makes for a VERY bad day. An emergency stop system is always highly recommended. Once those bad boys start burning the lube oil, the only way to stop it is by blocking the air intake.
❤ video ❤ sacrifice ❤ in today’s world hard to do❤ when the world economy isn’t what it used to be❤ doing without isn’t sacrificing it’s just living ❤ it’s nice that you’re still enjoying life with the good people you love have a great day ❤
The new king of England probably doesn’t even know where the pines to build the ships decking and spars came from, I’m on the St John river not far from Kings Landing where lots of giant Eastern White Pines were floated down to St John harbour and loaded onto the ships heading for England back in the 1800’s. great show Eddie.
Hi there Eddie and the Crew. I see it's mighty cold out there at the Mill. My side it's still scorching hot at 32 degrees C. But it is what it is. Should start getting cooler round end April. OK keep the Bus motor running. Regards to all. Your dear friend Andries in South Africa. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Sacrifice is a gift that humans and animals can share. It's about someone or some animal giving up something that they possess in order to give it to someone else.
Sacrifice means different things to different people. While I was in the military sacrifice meant giving up one's life for God , country, and fellow soldiers, sailors, Air Force, and Marines. There can be no higher commitment.
Excellent as usual, Eddie! A couple of questions, if I might... What does a box of that slabwood cost? Are they delivered? And when the wood is all gone, do people send the box back for a refill or burn it as well? Inquiring minds, and all that! Greetings from North Texas!
Eddie, I’m looking for some 6x6 pine/spruce/hemlock etc, building an extension on my back deck and thinking of timber framing. Could you let me know how to contact you please
That sure is a sweet situation you all have. You guys probably also have jobs during the week. Can you tell me how many H.P. on the bus motor? Thanks Eddie , Stay warm.
Eddie where is the mill located? I'd be interested in driving the truck up there for a load of wood. I'm sort of a wood hoarder, and the spalted sycamore, the chestnut and the box elder peeked my interest. Enjoy the videos. Keep posting!
I had the pleasure of meeting you at the Paul Bunyan show and just as I suspected you are good people. I very much enjoy your videos. If you haven't used it yet may I suggest a 'word for the day'... family.
On the very top of the chop saw, there are two rods or bars. It looks like they might be there to hold a sun shade. Do you know what their function actually is or was? Thanks for your videos.
the shop had an airplane hanger door 100 feet in the winter it sucks when it opens up 4 hours to reheat the shop we put roll-up freezer curtains up they roll down when the big door was open but do let us go in and out with a forklift too 15 years with using then the first time we had to replace the curtain
Hi Ed, Mark, & ZZ. Beautiful pine board. My " first" seeing spalted sycamore. Question? I thought sycamore had a red heart wood? My best friend had some spalted sugar maple wood. He built his kitchen cabinets with. Mostly 1 by 8s. Beautiful cabinets. As for the word of the day. I've done many " sacrifices." I pray that I'll get some "gains" back some day. I believe. You " sacrifice" You'll " gain." I've seen a " few gains" in my life. The camera on the edger is my 2nd best place. ( I didn't like it " earlier position/ by you.) Have a good Sunday everyone. 😍🙂😉👍❤️💜🙏🌲
To your point about white pine. Henry David Thoreau in his book, The Maine Woods, talks about building a road 5 miles into rough Maine country to fell a large old growth white pine. It was, as you said, for a sailing ship mast. The logs were floated down the rivers throughout the Eastern US and Canada before the railroads were introduced. Men were men in those days. Really enjoyed that flame box elder.......thanks.
By the way it is always good to see you and the rest in action, and listening to your views on life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness is pleasing to the ears, mind, and soul.
We have crown land in Canada. Im not sure how England still has rights to our land. Time to get that changed. Not a fan of their new king. Canada gave land grants to settlers in the 1800s. The crown retained the mineral rights and the rights to all white pine for ships masts. Not much need for ships masts these days. Keep up the good work Ed. Cheers from Ontario.
You all are Awesome, I enjoy watching what you all are doing next.
Thank you for watching it’s appreciated
@TheEddie1014 sir I watch because it reminds me of a much simpler time in my life.
Thank You All for that 🙏
Eddie, when you talk about the word of the day you almost sound like a preacher, that is meant as a compliment.
Thank you it’s taken as one
Good thing about being the loader operator, staying out of the weather.😅
Thank you for the time you spend to educate and inspire us.
Thank you for watching and your comments are always kind
A kind person at least someone who seems that way to me deserves kind comments.@@TheEddie1014
Good choice for the word of the day.
Do you fix up a tarp on the opening to stop the snow coming into the sawing area and off of the machinery. We get very little snow in the south of the UK but this year is has been very wet. Love to all from the UK
No tarp. Thank you

I thought you were going to say the word of the day was " mud "
Lol. Yep it is muddy I’ll still have time to use that one.
Hello everybody. Those stacker boxes might be the best thing since peanut butter and jelly. Great innovation of an idea. At least it isn't 16' 2x4's yes?
Thanks. And yes not 16’ 2x4s!

That’s a really good idea. Definitely will think about it. Thank you
A philosopher who loves sawdust is a great person to know! What a great channel!🇺🇸👍
Wow, thank you!
👍👍😎😎✝✝ The Young generation needs to know what sacrifice means, would be a better world.
I agree with you. Thank you
sacrificing my time. That’s the hard one! I find myself thinkin my time is too valuable. of course it’s just ego is all!😂
Thank you for sharing this. Thanks for watching
Seeing that big Detroit Diesel, reminds me. You have to keep an eye on the fuel, we had a truck that ran out of fuel and it sucked the oil pan dry.
That makes for a VERY bad day. An emergency stop system is always highly recommended. Once those bad boys start burning the lube oil, the only way to stop it is by blocking the air intake.
Yeah I’m always keeping an eye on that. Thank you

Hi Eddie quick question who actually owns the mill operation ?
Myself and Mark. Equal partners Thank you for watching
Eddie, I’m looking for some 6x6 pine/spruce/hemlock etc, building an extension on my back deck and thinking of timber framing. Could you let me know how to contact you please
Sure. chorvath907@gmail.com. I’ll get you my number when you email me. Thank you
I've noticed all that wood, you guys better get busy 😮😅!!!!?
Really that’s right 😂. Thank you for watching

Good sawing day. Your one helper was in Indiana County with the Amish.
Nice trip. Thanks
Another great video. Eddie, now a question; Who owns all that timber that you and Mark saw into boards, 4x2's etc?
We do. Thank you for watching.
Questions. What RPM setting do you run the Detroit bus engine at for sawing? And about what RPM is the saw blade turning? Thanks.
Detroit is 1500 rpm. Blade is about 650 rpm. Thanks
I’ve used your words ‘faith and hope’ with some friends. Thanks….
Wonderful! Thank you

We’re in western PA. 10minutes from the airport. No more chestnut. chorvath907@gmail.com to contact me directly for my phone number
I had the pleasure of meeting you at the Paul Bunyan show and just as I suspected you are good people. I very much enjoy your videos. If you haven't used it yet may I suggest a 'word for the day'... family.
Thank you so much. Family is a great word
IMO, a sacrifice for someone else means you think more of them than you do of yourself. It's a silent message of humility, which I need more of!
You get the true meaning. Thank you
On the very top of the chop saw, there are two rods or bars. It looks like they might be there to hold a sun shade. Do you know what their function actually is or was? Thanks for your videos.
To be honest I never even noticed them. Thank you
If those hard tires had some tread left on them you wouldn't have traction problems. Those tires look like it's time for a retread.
We were thinking about cutting extra grooves in them. They are a hard tire We never have to worry about a flat. Thank you
Do you have to purchase the logs that are dropped off in the log yard or is all that material up for grabs? Really enjoy your videos!
They are purchased. Thank you for watching
the shop had an airplane hanger door 100 feet in the winter it sucks when it opens up 4 hours to reheat the shop we put roll-up freezer curtains up they roll down when the big door was open but do let us go in and out with a forklift too 15 years with using then the first time we had to replace the curtain
Good idea. Thank you for watching
I appreciate the
“Word of the Day” portion.
When one man is inspired to give a good word I believe there is another man somewhere waiting to hear it.
That’s nice thank you
You guys could use a couple stall mats to get your feet away from that cold, hard concrete a bit
Good idea. Thanks
