Thank you. My numbers are still slightly off. This textbook is horrible. Not only this section but there are other errors in this book in previous chapters.
I also wonder where this 10% is coming from. I just used goal seek to determine the percent to multiply by to get the same answer for one of the book problems, and it came out to 6.4675%, so my answer didn't match. I'd love to know how to calculate the SE of the prediction the right way so I can understand it for the quiz and assignment.
This is so frustrating. they do not tell you how to do it just to use a software that I do not know and hesitate to download. I need to try this on other examples

How did you get the 10% increase for the adjusted r value? Can't find anything about that online.
