      Hi Mr. See I am interested in the Yamaha psr e363 and am wondering if it is the right choice I want a keyboard that is a affordable, simple and sounds great,lasts a long time (5years+) and durable . I will be trying to teach my younger siblings and wondering if it is a good choice, or if you have any other suggestions? Thanks God Bless. Also I have ordered the Casio CTK 3500 but am thinking or returning it and buying the Yamaha.

      @@JeremySee Thanks for another great video Jeremy!
      I've seen a lot of information about using the CT-S200 MIDI out as a controller but haven't seen anything about using MIDI in and controlling it with a different keyboard - basically using it as a sound module. Have you tried that? I have a Montage 7, a Tyros5 and a few other keyboards in my studio but in my living room, I just have a Kawai MP11se digital piano, a small mixer and a microphone. The CT-S200 is shallow enough that I can put it on top of my MP11se for some extra sounds. I have a chance to but a brand new red one for $40, that's why I'm considering doing that. I'd appreciate your input. Thanks!

Which will give better quality and longevity? Is there any latency issue using a synthesizer ???

    Is there a way you could do a video on how to use a Casio/Yamaha arranger keyboard. With the intro, etc. I see you doing chords in your left hand and then every so often pressing buttons on the keyboard I'm gathering to change from different parts of the song. Maybe you could pick a simple song that everyone would know. I have a Casio WK245 but I gather that most Casio's and Yamaha's all work pretty similarly. Cheers

    I had the same Casio for about 6 months. Thank God for COVID b/c I got my money back. The USB port from Casio keyboard broke. I took it to a technician and he told me that he always fixes Casio's USB ports. It seems like they are more prone to break than Yamaha. I loved that keyboard but got my money back from Target. I used it for recording with Mixcraft and at least I got my $129 back. But if you just want to play it without recording, I'd say get it. But many technicians just say that Casio's parts are harder to find if something happens.

I did not see Two usb cables into laptop during the latter part of your video. One from Audio interface & One from Midi keyboard. I notice the audio interface has old style 5 pin Din Midi in/out. would it be possible to utilise these sockets with an older style 5 pin midi cable, as my Casio CTK-671 uses. Therefore would only require the single usb cable from the audio interface to the PC for both Midi & Audio inputs.

    I'm a keyboard novice (guitar player) Does this focus rite unit act as a midi controller? Or do you need separate cabling from the keyboard to the computer that I'm not seeing here. Also is the 4i4 unit the best one, or can the cheaper 2i2 unit accomplish the same thing?
    My guitar rig uses the DIN plugs, so I'm a little unsure of how you're controlling cakewalk from the keyboard ;o)

    Hello, thanks for the video.
    Is the Focusrite device mandatory to use the built-in tones? I was able to use the virtual instrument, but couldn't use the built-in tones because my computer does not recognize Casio keyboard as a audio input, only MIDI Input.

      Casio USB port does not support audio in/out. You will need an audio interface if you want to send onboard tones to your PC.

    Hello and thank you for doing these videos. I'm new to this. Question: Do I need an audio interface when using a CT-S300 Casiotone? I connected the Casiotone to a laptop via USB. I get piano notes into the DAW -- and hear the notes coming out of the Casiotone speakers -- but I can't hear anything coming OUT of the laptop speakers or OUT of the Casiotone speakers. After hours, I'm still nowhere. Your help is greatly appreciated.

    Hello Jeremy. New to your channel. Very interesting content to have, thank you. Btw if I just want to use the CTS300 as a midi controller (to use softwares like Class Maestro) I just need a Micro USB midi cable? Frankly it looks like those for charging the powerbanks.

    Hi, Jeremy. Nice channel and very useful for eternal beginners as myself. My issue with that cakewalk software is that it "captures" my audio and I'm not able to listen anything else except sound from the software (no youtube, no videos, no games, no nothing), so if I want to follow and play along another song (as I usually do), I'm not able to. Do you know how to avoid or fix that? I was reading some comments in forums and they said you get that when you have a single soundboard or something (things I don't actually understand). Any help is welcome because I had to return my new midi controller because of that.

  • @psaini1999
    @psaini1999 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think if my laptop has a 3.5mm jack already, I can use it to record output from the keyboard and won't need an external audio interface.

    • @psaini1999
      @psaini1999 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The audio out from the laptop will be fed into the keyboard, which can cause problems I guess, but that can be fixed using an audio splitter.

      the audio interface(focusrite) is not mandatory here i suppose.that is required only if u want to record the internal casio tones onto the DAW.otherwise without focusrite u could use the casiotone as a midi controller by connecting only the usb midi cable to DAW(but in this case you can use only the virtual instruments available in the DAW and not the tones from the keyboard)
