I love how the writers made sure that their characters had a HEALTHY relationship. They had respect for one another, they even argued respectfully. If people just learn HOW to talk to one another, we could all have relationships like Dwayne and Whitley.
This show was amazing. I Love this show. No fighting. No talk of drugs. No baby mama/daddy drama. This show had life lesson episodes. This show taught Love, friendship, loyalty & forgiveness.
brebre3068 Yes, I've been waiting for that spin-off. Would be great to show their children in college where their college experiences my differ. A Whole Different World; can/will impact lives.
I loved everything about this scene. ✔️How she got to still see him brush his teeth at night..... "Baby..... it's cold outside at 6 in the morning." ✔️When he said you look so beautiful in the morning and your breath is fresh like you've been dreaming of strawberries or something...HOW do you do that?!" ✔️The dance at the end. Its just sooo sweet in the simplest sense.😩☺️
The simplicity of love is so important. Listening from the heart, communicating with compassion, and being patient is needed within a beautiful long lasting fun marriage.
The most admired TV couple that gave hope and inspiration. Written & Directed by Jasmine Guy herself. Can never get tired of viewing and get something new every time. Cosby is a genius.
The evolution of there relationship was simply beautiful with the ups and downs and they still managed to be with each other you can’t find shoes like these anymore.
The episode "Baby It's Cold Outside" was very very interesting, entertaining but real look into a relationship that, like so many, goes through the difficulty of finding intimacy and romance while juggling a career, a job, and other responsibilities that pull at a relationship and make things kind of difficult. Even though a TV show doesn't solve a problem in 23 minutes, it showed a wonderful example of the choices we have
Just awesome! This is when TV was great. You can see Jasmine's theater pedigree in this one and as was said earlier, Ms. Guy was the writer on this particular episode. Whitley and Dwayne, my favorite tv couple then and now! NBC was absolutely nuts to cancel this show.
I didn't know Ray Charles sang this song It's a tape my mom made For me of her old favorites You used to sing this song to me I Missed You: Baby I was only gone a few hours No Whitley you were gone for Three and half hours The first two and half hours Were terrible then I just went numb..

Its HILARIOUS that the guy playing Spencer has had other roles on this show. The funniest was the guy that went on a date with Julissa, and said he lived at home with his momma.😂😂😂😂😂
I really enjoyed this show. I still watch the re-runs. This scene, with Dwayne and Whitley singing "Baby It's Cold Outside," is my absolute favorite scene of the entire show. This show encouraged many young people to go to college. 😊❤
Great scene when black men loved, cared, respected their race of women instead of degrading us with other races treat them better (with no real explaination of why) and not put us down for nonsense...being Happy for myself is greater then bitter...love life!!!
I learned the get up before the guy wakes up so i can quickly freshen up trick from watching Whitley on this show. I used to time it by the alarm set so i can sneak and be freshened up than lie back down in a supposed to be asleep yet posed all cute way.
Between this scene and listen to Kendrick Lamar's love I feel so deep and love with somebody I wanted to be with since the first time I saw her in high school.
I have always love loved this episode the love they had is something I'm still waiting on I still have hope it happens to have someone who loves you fall asleep in each other arms ahhhhhh wonderfully beautiful

Exactly.
They are like a young Cliff and Clair
Their relationship was not perfect it took time and effort
@@shamirahm5174 It wasn't supposed to be perfect, that would be unrealistic. That's my point.
Genius of Bill Cosby
I love the way he says "I missed you, baby!" Awww ... (Kadeem looks handsome, especially in this season.)
One of the greatest couples in TV history. Dwayne and Whitley.

Modeled a healthy marriage.
Kids should know that "romance" is part of a healthy marriage.
Not dirty, nasty, degradation, or being cheapened.

This has an Claire and Cliff feel to it.

Apologies for a fat thumb "is"

Best sitcom couple ever-besides Martin and Gina. :)
They were one of the most loved couples, but it's sad that Jasmine Guy really didn't care playing Whitley.
Teresa Johnson Why is it sad? She was getting paid. How many folks trudge to jobs they hate?
She did care. She got tired as the show went on. As most actors do. Whitley eclipsed her. Kadeem was tired too.
Why is it sad? Millions of people work jobs they hate.
She want to do other things as a artist people have to grow . She didn't want to be Whitney forever
