I counted for my daughter and hit 50 before I lost count. When you started going into all the ways they flourish it brought a tear to my eye. My daughter fit almost every one 😊. Her struggles do not define her. Thanks for sharing this. Hopefully more people will see this and better understand.
I hit 72 of the signs. Thank you for putting together such a comprehensive list! Normally, the only symptoms of dyslexia I could find listed were slow reading and bad grades
I count 46 for my son but we are using and LOVING the Learn Reading program! The improvements in his learning have been absolutely incredible!! Cannot say enough wonderful things about this program!
This is an excellent resource. Thank you for putting it all together in one place. Your compassionate confidence is your signature! We appreciate your work.
I am 21 and almost every one of these described me all this time I thought I was just a Werido and didn’t know what was going on with me thank you for this video
We have a family of 10. 8 out of 10 of us have the majority of those symptoms. Three more signs that were common in our family: 1. The school attempted to hold them back in 3rd grade. 2. They couldn't read until their early teens. 3. Despite two years of preschool, summer school every year, and special ed, they did not improve. I mourn the time my children and husband struggled without a program like this. All the IEP meetings, infomercial reading solutions, and expensive out-of-state specialists. What is the biggest takeaway from being the wife and mother of so many dyslexics? Knowing that their dyslexia is a gift, NOT a disability. Thank you for this program and for all you do to help these amazingly gifted people.
Is the "is it dyslexia?" book a screening book for adults also? i got 65 in the questions, i had to search what words meant too as i didnt know a lot of them
As a child I memorized over 2000 sight words, this is the only way I could learn to read. We tried the phonemic awareness straties and it was so frustrating it made me hate reading.
I’m 86 years old, have bachelor’s degree in architecture, native language is English…….never was good at spelling (American English) but I am able to spell Spanish words correctly (Sp seems to have a more organized system). Furthermore, at one time I was very good at rembering numbers and was good at math……does it mean that I am now dyslexic because I have a problem remembering numbers now? I feel like I have more of the symptoms from your list now than I experienced 60 years ago. Does this mean that the older I get the more likely I am to have dyslexia? Please explain how one can be dyslexic because he a spelling proble, is compassionate, has a family member who displays similar symptoms, plus one other from the top 5 from your list. ~ gy
I lost track. Went a little too fast kinda hard to comprehend. But there were a lot that sounded like me. So I'd say at least maybe 80. Maybe 5 or 6 that didn't seem to fit me.
85. BUT. I have Adhd. So 🤷♀️ Number 96 should be that other people keep telling you that you have dyslexia 😂. At 36 it doesnt seem to matter too much. But if i did have dyslexia, that might mean i could return to study, and actually have a chance on my exams if i was able to get some accommodations (with spelling).

You're very welcome.
I think I had about 40. I think I have great silent reading skills, but struggle to read aloud or find the right words to say.
That is not uncommon with those who have dyslexia!
I would love a written list of this super helpful video. Thank you for sharing existing.
You are welcome!
Is there a written list of the 95 symptoms?
