If Hello Neighbor ever gets a movie I hope they find a way to place this in it. This is so soothing and peaceful to listen to, and could possibly be used for an ending.
The picture just makes me realise the neighbor wants a normal life by drinking a sip of coffee and chill while we are here always annoying him by going over his house for his basement and not let him rest. Now the neighbor is gone, we normally just settle down and listen to this. it's perfect after great 6 years.
I feel bad for the neighbor. He had a fun family, but sadly lost his wife in the car accident. He was frustrated and sad to even realise that his son and daughter got into an argument while playing hide n seek. So the son accidentally pushed the daughter off a high ledge with his anger. The neighbor already lost his wife and daughter. So he locks his son in the basement so he wouldnt harm anyone else, but the son ended up dying there, turning him into some phantom monster.

Dang man, this game has changed me so much, I remember being so interested in this game back in 2017 and being into the lore and all that, but now that I actually know everything, know what he went through. I just can't help but want to tear up with tears. He's not a bad guy, it's the guilt he felt from loosing his kids and wife that drove him to lash out.
Honestly, the most fun I ever had was watching the lore of clickbaited titles on TH-cam about this game. Running through the betas and cycling about demons, crimes, death, the old basements. I’m gonna miss those days. Even the videos with no intention on delivering the what it said it had still had a form of quality that you just don’t find anymore. You will be missed. Saturday nights, drizzling clouds, almost completely silent, just watching videos on the couch with soft orange lighting.
When finishing Act 3 I came to this. Thinking about all of the videos. 8 Bit Ryan, Markiplier, even a few DanTDM videos since he was somewhat relevant. I came to this. Sat down in my bed. Cried.
Damn dude, I cant believe this game's alphas are going to be 5 years old. Its like I haven't been here in 10-15 years. This game was truly unique in its style. First it started with a small ass house. Then it evolved to have an ending. Then a basement was made and lore started to spread about the children. Then you find out the neighbor's backstory. The game finally is complete, what took 1-2 years (I think). You find out the neighbor's terrible backstory. I am glad to have got to play Hello Neighbor. Thank you tinybuild.

When I found the green gramophone, the one that played this song, I went and put it back in the safe house with my other valuables. At that point I had run back there so many times, it felt like a hub world, a true home. So I always played this in the house, giving it even more of a hub world sort of feeling. A feeling of safety... A break from all the suspense... Maybe, in another timeline, *could we had been friends?*
I would’ve loved to see a Hello Neighbor where Theodore is nice and whenever he catches you, he walks you out of his house. But, that wouldn’t really make sense to the story.
Near the end of the game I feel really bad for the neighbor also I think the ending with him in the house with the shadow guy, I think it means he can't escape his own fear, The loss of his wife and child he's trap in his own mind forever Goodbye Neighbor

I know it’s just a game but, imagine if YOU were the neighbor. Imagine, how hard it would be, to lose two of your most loved ones, your wife.. and then your only daughter. Pushed over by a son, the only person in your family and then he needs to be locked up to make sure there is no self harm, no death. All the neighbor wants is peace. He doesn’t want intruders, you see, he’s nice enough to catch you, not harm you or take your stuff, but just to put you back at your house. Sure, there are bear traps. But that’s only because he wants to be left alone. He even tries to catch you when you go further in the basement. And you can see the dread and sadness emotion on his face. Hello neighbor was a stealth horror game about finding secrets in your neighbors basement it evolved into a stealth puzzle game with a deep story. It had many spinoffs but now it is time to let the neighbor rest. Thank you Hello Neighbor you will be in our hearts forever.

Hearing this soundtrack 6 years after alpha 2 first released makes me feel nostalgic and sad, knowing that at one point this was the latest build of the game you could get, now it’s the 3rd to oldest. I remember watching TH-camrs play the pre-alpha all the way back in 2016 and I got the full game for Xbox in 2017. Something about pre alpha-alpha 3 makes it a lot better than the full game

0:43- 1:12 this reminds me of when me and my sister would steal the green record player from the neighbors house and set it up in our house’s bedroom. we’d roleplay in our house, because we were too scared to go inside the neighbors house. we’d pretend to have a diary and read books on our bed. we’d pretend to go to school and walk past our “creepy neighbors” house. we’d play on my switch and we would each take a joy con. either she had the one that made you move or the one that made you jump. we’d try to beat the game with each of us holding a different joy con. we failed obviously. but overall, this song makes me so happy :,)

Hearing this soundtrack 6 years after alpha 2 first released makes me feel nostalgic and sad, knowing that at one point this was the latest build of the game you could get, now it’s the 3rd to oldest. I remember watching TH-camrs play the pre-alpha all the way back in 2016 and I got the full game for Xbox in 2017. Something about pre alpha-alpha 3 makes it a lot better than the full game

I remember playing all the neighbors demos, alphas. Stuff like that. When I turned on the gamaphone and heard it it was so relaxing. Just hearing it again makes me cry. I don’t know why but the neighbor was that kind of guy who probably dropped by on the kids because he cared about them, then in a terrible accident, his wife died. Leaving him depressed. His son, pushes over his sister to her death on a plank on the roof of the house. Then when the dad (neighbor) heard about this he couldn’t take it anymore. He just wanted a normal family , and in the game, we play as a dumb kid who plays soccer and has no respect over somebody else’s business and property. He makes the neighbor even more mad, as you can see, by playing the game, all he does is stretch, use the bathroom, sleep, laugh at the tv or just watch it a little. Then he turns his frustration at you. Once we see what he’s went through. The kid (you, the player) still goes into his house. To find nothing in his basement. Just locks and mannequins. I know it’s just a game but, imagine if YOU were the neighbor. Imagine, how hard it would be, to lose two of your most loved ones, your wife.. and then your only daughter. 0:43- 1:12 this reminds me of when me and my sister would steal the green record player from the neighbors house and set it up in our house’s bedroom. we’d roleplay in our house, because we were too scared to go inside the neighbors house. we’d pretend to have a diary and read books on our bed. we’d pretend to go to school and walk past our “creepy neighbors” house. we’d play on my switch and we would each take a joy con. either she had the one that made you move or the one that made you jump. we’d try to beat the game with each of us holding a different joy con. we failed obviously. but overall, this song makes me so happy :,)
