    Kyle Shanahan or Sean McVay. Who is a better coach and why?

      Why would you even ask that question ? Is it even a question or are you just trying to ruffle some feathers ?
      Kyle Shanahan is and always will be eons beyond McVay is or will ever be. There is absolutely no argument there.

      Sean McVay does a terrific job of hiring great people around him and delegating, he doesn't always get enough credit for his staffing choices but they always help opposed to hurt his team. I think even though he is older Kyle is taking a little longer to learn his way around the HC position but is quickly getting to McVay's level in terms of the people around him and knowing when to give up the reigns. Also, Kyle is the better Offensive mind and play-caller, but not by miles.

    • @CobaltGOAT
      @CobaltGOAT 5 ปีที่แล้ว +47

      McVay learned from the Shanahans. While McVay deserves his credit for turning the Rams around and making Goff look like a competent QB (hes shown that he becomes a vegetable under pressure or when he doesnt have the reads), Shanahan's made his offense work with backup and practice squad level players. In 2018 only Alfred Morris in their rotation of Breida, Wilson, and Mostert had under 4 YPC while everyone else did. He also unlocked Kittle's true potential. In college, Kittle was a great blocker who was an insane athlete, but the scouts didnt regard him as a high pick because he didnt have the targets and receiving production. Shanahan saw that Kittle was a freak athlete and an amazing blocker and those skillsets matched Shanahan's offense perfectly. Kittle is a beast in his own regard, but Kyle put him in position to get amazing YAC

    Thanks the the excellent breakdown. Bosa is very talented and plays with great technique. Obviously it's early, but he looks to be one of the best. The entire D-Line and backups are very good. Buckner and Armstead are having a great season and Dee Ford is incredibly quick. Watch his first step on film. He's literally quicker than anyone else on the field most of the time. Ronnie Blair,, Solomon Thomas, D.J. Jones are all excellent too.

    After all of this, you haven't even touched on how great he has been in the run game.
    He forces runners inside and contains the edge, while also showing he can compress and make plays from the backside. He is a complete player as a rookie and if he improves, he should be thought about as the league MVP.
    With Maholmes out and not playing great, Bosa is the biggest reason the 49ers have turned it around. He has been the best player on one of the two best teams and a huge reason the 49ers have gone 5-0 after a 4-12 season.

      Peyton Loved Bush has been looking really good but don’t base this all on his takeaways. The week he played the niners one of interceptions was not skill but was a lucky deflection off the half back and then just so happens on the fumbles his teammates do all the work and he comes in and scoops the ball up. Like I said bush has been playing well but not on the level of bosa or even brian burns.

    A note about Bosa's 25% pressure rate. It's bound to go down as he looms larger and larger in opponents game plans. Being great doesn't always deliver great numbers. Consider Deion Sanders -- absolutely great cornerback, but he would have had even more interceptions had teams not learned to throw away from his area of the field. Bosa will now get double and triple teamed more often, which means his numbers may not be as stellar, but we should see his teammates benefiting from Bosa absorbing more attention. Also, opposing teams may increase their number of quick hitting pass plays. Those won't count as pressures even if it's because of Bosa.

  • @kashman2426
    @kashman2426 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Bosa was best player in draft. The tape showed it then and clearly shows it now. Any GM would pick him number one outside of the Cardinals. A true generational talent. Thank you Baby Jesus to the Cardinals. He has 4 sacks. Could easily have 8or 9 by now. The sacks will come because he pressures the QB so often. Point is anyone that knows anything about football, knows he is on his way to being dominant. I believe he already is. You can argue that because he only has 4 sacks. He’s on pace for 10-12 sacks which is pretty darn good. Pressuring the QB at a 25 percent rate is fantastic. Defensive Player of the year stuff. 25 percent!Some of you ignorants don’t even understand the significance of that number and what it does to the opposing offense. Look at his latest stat line against Redskins. 7 tackles. 4 tackles for loss and a sack. That is a monster stat line. The 4 tackles for loss are incredible.

    In the Whitworth clip would it make sense for Whitworth to cheat more inside here? With the RB running to the flat in his route could he chip in this scenario, or would that slow his route / be something that would need to be adjusted at the line?

    • @AlexRollinsNFL

    I appreciate the quality of the analysis and I like to binge on the videos! But...everybody calm the fuck down about any 49ers players and success. I love me some Kyle Shanahan. But Bosa has been playing literally the worst offensive lines in the NFL. So far, Villanueva, who's not even that good, is the best tackle he has gone against. They basically don't play a good O-line until the Ravens, Packers, and Saints. Their schedule is a cakewalk and they look really good because of it. If he can do this repeatedly against Ryan Ramczky, then we'll talk. But, I highly doubt it. He has length issues that will probably end up showing up against great tackles. Just like his brother, he will probably be one of those "dominates against bad offenses" players who disappears during the playoffs and important games. Not a knock, he's good, but everybody calm the hell down.

      I like Bosa he’s a great pass rusher but he isn’t the game wrecker Allen iis. Allen is much better vs the Run and we won’t even mention Coverage Bosa can’t play in space. Allen covers better than most ILB’s. He much more polished, But I respect your OP.

    This team is so stacked that while you are talking about Bosa's domination at about 5:00 I can hardly take my eyes off of Armstead and Buckner absolutely destroying the inside trio of the Steelers line haha and all on the same play. Impressive.

    • @LoanwordEggcorn
      @LoanwordEggcorn 5 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Armstead is finally having a breakout year, and Buckner is incredibly talented. Dee Ford's first step is literally quicker than anyone else on the field most of the time. Watch the film. Ronnie Blair, Solomon Thomas, D.J. Jones could be starters on other teams. Our D-Line is more stacked with talent than the Giants with Michael Strahan and Osi Umenyiora.
