I like the Christmas classics. We had an album of Christmas classics from the '50's to the '70's: Bing Crosby, Sinatra, Brenda Lee, Elvis, Nat King Cole, Andy Williams, Perry Como, etc... I love Christmas and could listen to Christmas music all year long. I also love multi-colored lights on Christmas trees.

Music is so evocative of mood and atmosphere. And so personal. The Xmas musak they pump through stores - especially supermarkets - isn’t (mostly) my vibe, but still is an inevitable part of the holiday season and, I guess, I’d miss it if it didn’t happen. I’m old enough that my favourite Christmas music is Kings College, Cambridge Carol service. But there’s loads I like. (In the good old days, record players would even flip the record for you - although it could be hit & miss with long playing records as we called them.)
I used to start listening to Christmas music around Labor Day and wouldn't put it away until the 4th of July. This was back in the days of LP records and mix tapes so you had to make a commitment! Now with digital music I can listen year-round whenever the mood hits. :) If I could have only one Christmas album it would be Christmas Is ... (1966) by Percy Faith and His Orchestra & Chorus. My favorite newish album is Donna Summer's Christmas Spirit (1994). She has such a gorgeous voice. For a concert experience, it's got to be Mannheim Steamroller. Merry Christmas y'all!
I also have that James Taylor Christmas album and actually listened to it a couple of days ago. I also have the first Very Special Christmas, which is indeed great. And I have a bunch of favorites, including the Manhattan Transfer Christmas album, Bette Midler’s “Cool Yule,” George Winston’s “December,” “Christmas with Chet Atkins” (a little-known known classic from 1961), and Ana Gasteyer’s “Sugar and Booze,” among others. I also have two Harry Connick, Jr. Christmas albums and three Barry Manilow Christmas albums. All of it is great stuff.

Very obscure, I know, probably no one has ever heard of them. It’s a n American father and son duo who were quite popular in Germany. The album is mainly acoustic and Adam has a lovely voice. Other than that the Brian Wilson Christmas album is good.
Sarah McLachlan "Wintersong" is a really great Christmas Album, as is Ronan Keating's, which is called "Winter Songs", but a really fun album is, Kylie Minogue's "Kylie Christmas (Snow Queen Edition)" it has a mix of classics, as well as some really cool Christmas songs, that you don't really hear that often, and new songs (one of which, was written by Chris Martin).
When I was growing up in the 50s, White Christmas was a great 78rpm set of records. The music is still good, but there has been so much great music since then. Happy Holidays and Love to all!❤🎉❤🎉😊

There were a series of benefit albums called A Very Special Christmas that had a lot of great covers by bigger stars at the time. Sarah McLachlan is beautiful. Annie Lennox has some good traditional holiday songs especially In the Bleak Midwinter. Glee has a ton of great covers many even better than the originals like a same sex version of Baby It’s Cold Outside! Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s A Mad Russian’s Christmas & Christmas/Sarajevo 12/24.
