A new teaser for MBC's forthcoming Friday-Saturday drama Chief Detective 1958 has been released! Chief Detective 1958 will be a prelude to the iconic Korean series Chief Inspector, which aired for 18 years from 1971 to 1989 and garnered phenomenal peak ratings of 70%. While the first series was set in the 1970s and 1980s (current day), Chief Detective 1958 will be set in the 1960s. Lee Je Hoon will portray a younger version of the eponymous head inspector Park Young Han, who was originally played by Choi Bool Am. Park Young Hans' squad is also represented by Lee Dong Hwi, Choi Woo Sung, and Yoon Hyun Soo in the drama. Park Young Han, a detective who has recently arrived in Seoul, opens the teaser video with a bold self-introduction.
