    Thanks for all the comments, I love my kalabari and okrika heritage and would love to see more of these on TH-cam. Popular gospel music I heard growing up are hard to find on here. Could you please tag or link me to any you find.

      Thanks for sharing this video. I remember so many kalabari songs from my childhood....sadly it appears they have gone with the LPs and turntable era. There was one popular album by the Anglican Youths of NDD/St Andrews Church Bakana (I think)...Please tag me too if you do find them.

      You're very welcome. As you have blessed us, so shall you be blessed! Thanks for sharing your beautiful gift of praise and worship to the world, Ibiso. We are indeed blessed with beautiful Ijaw dialects. My daughter who is now 14 used to smile whenever I played this song to her many years ago.

    Anytime i listen to this song, I remember Lagos Law School, 2011. It was as if the exam was going to swallow me, but thankfully,I encountered this song and it ministered to me. All through the exam that lasted for a week, it was this song. To the glory of God, i passed excellently and from there commenced my law career.

    I was at the passing out parade of the Nigeria Defence Academy in October 2018 and I was overwhelmed when this song was played by the parade band..It was glorious as for those of us who knew the song jumped to our feet and started dancing...many of the Northerners and those who did not know the song were just looking...Am a Yoruba and though I do not understand the language and meaning of the song until I saw the lyrics, I JUST LOVE THE SONG...GOD BLESS THE INDIVIDUAL WHO WAS USED TO BLESS THE WORLD WITH THIS..

    Kalabari's and Ijaws in general were blessed by God with a musical language. I think Africans really. We thank God that Christ redeemed us and our language from satanic bondage to praise of idols. Kalabari language is musical, i'm not Kalabari but in my place we don't sing with our language but adopt Kalabari in singing. It's more meledous (if thats even a word)

      This is Kalabari though, the dialect is slightly different from Ijaw .

    • @ayebatarijuliapaxagiri2767
      @ayebatarijuliapaxagiri2767 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@elizabethreuben6398 Sister. There's difference between language & dialect. Kalabari dialect is a dialect of d IZON LANGUAGE just lik Ibani, Wakirike, Nembe, Akassa, Bassan, Bomo, Gbarain, Ogbe, Arogbo, Apoi, etc
      Igbo, Yoruba, English, almost evry language has dialects. So u can't say Kalabari is slightly different frm Ijaw. Wich of d Ijaw is Kalabari slightly different frm oda IJAW dialects but it's not different frm IJAW LANGUAGE
