Nice video and great cars 😊 👍 I've owned a swift sport manual. Also was tuned and modified but now I own a 2020 aw Polo GTI. So comparing both I would say the Swift Sport is more fun, authentic and delivers a raw but balanced feel. It loves to be driven hard and can be used for both a daily and mountain passes over the weekend and puts a big smile on my face.. but long distances can be a bit tiring. The polo GTI being dsg is comfortable to drive, quieter in the cabin and loaded with tech. Fast on straights for its class and is a great long distance tourer or commute. Yet it doesn't let you feel as engaged as the swift does or offer the same levels of fun. Bang for buck and fun I would go for the swift. Comfort, refinement I would go for the GTI. But each to their own. 😊
Would have loved to see a drag race between the stock and modified one. And maybe add a polo also in the drag race. Reviews with drag races are always a win 🥇. Keep up the good content guys. I’m enjoying it.
I drove Golf's from GTI 5 to Golf 7 ...and now a 2019 Golf 7 GTD......but I always liked the Swift Sport... and with the Hijackings of VW......I wouldn't mind getting one of these.....I agree....great car, reliable, and it looks like loads of fun....
Also have a SSS, and when I was shopping around, the Polo TSi's were just awful. There is no real competition for the SSS, I'm still enjoying it 2 years later after some small stage 1 mods, and still getting good fuel economy @ 6.5Lt/100km. Also don't have to worry about getting jacked. Only issue is getting upgrades/mods and parts. Its a beautiful car and built in Japan, yes parts may be slightly more but they don't break as easily as some of the German cars do, and I know cos I have an Audi that is mostly parked.
These swift sports have one of the worst exhaust notes from outside when guys put on "performance exhausts". There is a guy that lives in my area and I think he has straight piped the thing, it sounds HORRIBLE, full on fart can spec. Looks like a fun drive though
Sorry, you are wrong. Seeing as 'looks' are subjective I cancel you out liking the Swift Sport more, as Polo's are kak ugly in comparison, woefully bland to drive and a hernia car (every second asshole drives one). New Golfs GTi's are 2 to 3 times the more expensive so are not comparative. (unless you disagree then add the new Audi RS3 Hatch in the mix seeing as price class comparison then doesn't matter). Polo GTi vs Swift Sport? Swift everyday. Comparative power to weight. Cheaper running cost. Notoriously more Reliable. Lower insurance premium. Great maintenance plan. Overall more smiles per Kilometer.
I agree about performance. I have the Swift Sport with Racechip plug- and - play and DTE pedalbox and it will not trouble the GTI, based on engine outputs, for obvious reasons. Styling is a subjective thing though. I think it looks sufficiently sporty.
Wich car is not expensive these days... oh and much is it to replace headlights every second day on a polo and golf again? Nvm that. Clutch replacements or dsg box replacements.. you looking anything from around R20k to do that. Swift sport R10k max from the dealers.. long term maintenance on the sport is relatively low compared to other sporty hatches..
you joking right.. 😂😂😂.. polo rline 1.0 is more in the old swift 1.4gls catagory than swift sport. And that is only in a straight line.. when twisties come those polo's fall of the wagon with all their body roll.
Lol I drove a 2017 Golf 7R for a good 3 painful years bro, gave me endless issues and replaced it with a 7.5 Gti and I also experienced similar issues with that too nd now I drive a 2022 Swift Sport, no issues so far after a year of owning it. VW is shit and is an overrated piece of crap
The polo GTi is a fat assed expensive fragile rip off !! The swift sport leaves it for dead on a twisty road and will not be spending expensive time in a garage. Yes the sss is rougher around the edges but us “real” drivers like that in a car.

When you make videos like this it takes me back to why I enjoyed liberebil so much. Missed these videos. All the best man.
1. It's Japanese
2. It's reliable
3. It's HUGE fun.
What more do you want :)
Interesting to see the aftermarket tuning options for these cars lol

Seeing niyaz is always cool
Booster jet under the hood.
Swift are very nice cars
Very nice car. Could you perhaps review chevrolet sonic rs 1.4
What was the fuel consumption during this test?
NIYAAZ AYO WE MISSED YOU
what country is this?

lols any idea where they did the exhaust, what's the colour of the car and are they in JHB or DBN or CPT
Which area if I may ask?
👀
Flue efficient? 😛
Thanks for the heads up! We didn’t even notice it!
Too bad I can't understand what you're saying. But GTI all the way.
Swift is for my little sister not me
Guess your sister is more alpha than you. Good for her 💪🏻
Why?
Never!
Gti is still the best any day
Sorry but this is definitely not in the league of a GTI...the swift is a warm hatch at best with below average looks and performance.

Obviously, that is why you pay the hefty premium for the GTI, but you are missing the point. For what it is, it's HUGE fun to drive.
below average looks? when the whole vag group looks like white paint drying on a wall? cool story bro

Price of parts for Suzuki is ridiculous, good luck to people following this advice. Dont waste your money
Which brand are you comparing the parts prices to?
what parts exactly? how much do those polo lights cost when they've been stolen at the shop in 60 seconds??
Wich car is not expensive these days... oh and much is it to replace headlights every second day on a polo and golf again?

Can you provide some comparative part prices with another car brand?
Ahhh thought so , catfishing for views 😂 ( overtakes all Swifts in a polo R line 1.0 ) 😂 kom pad toe

Shame ne
You know there’s a huge difference between a Swift Sport and a standard Swift right? The Sport makes nearly double the power at the wheels
let me know when you wake up from your dream

GTI is a better car in everyway.... You only buy a swift because you can't afford a GTI😅
No, we don't buy GTi's because insurance is crazy and every second non working person wants to take it from you.
You must be poor.
