Just bought one of these for my dad for Christmas. Last year he spent the Holidays as well as about another 100 days in the hospital with covid. He loves tanks so I figure after surviving that he really deserves it.
Its so realistic, even the transmission breaks

I just got mine with the TK 6.0 board and LOVE IT!!! Bought it from Mato with the steel upgrades and 360 turret rotation. It is both IR and Airsoft and when fired, the barrel recoils in rather than the entire tank jerking back. Also gotta love the ability to change idling and running sounds. Still need to change to metal sprockets, idlers and tracks. Not too keen on access to battery. Will be separating lower and upper hull and installing magnets to secure both so that battery can be access from within and bottom of hull sealed. That's my plan.
Can you tell me how long you’re supposed to charge the battery for with the charger it comes with?
I might get one of those, but I’ll definitely be repainting it to a more accurate dunkelgelb
I agree with you but I would add also spare tracks and it's hangers both on the top and the lower side and the periscopes and perhaps transparent "glass" on the driver's front!!

I love how the suspension can actually travels.
I love mine, although it throws a track every other time I drive it, so realistic! (It is an old 27mhz though, so no comparison to this one). Definitely getting a new one.
I bought my first Heng Long 1/16 Tiger one approx tens years ago. Both transmitter and receiver are now dead, so I decided to buy another more update 1/16 Tiger One. Absolutely over the moon with the sound effects and gun recoil. I also went and purchased the Heng Long 1/16 Sherman tank. OMG the accessories that come with the Sherman allow for a lot of customisation with stowage of ammunition boxes, crew backpacks etc. Looking towards a 1/16 T-34 as my next purchase.
The R/C version looks scary, I'm sure I would be terrified if I saw one irl XD

If tou want metal hull and turret, you can buy a Torro Tiger, and all tanks will become very expensive
Recently was given an RC tank (WW 2 German) looks like it has a metal chassis, and think the upper portion might be plastic. It needs repair, the turret is attached, but no barrel. Some metal parts have some corrosion... How can the maker / vendor be determined, & what model of tank?

With all the metal upgrades
For the road wheels I use my air brush to clean grass out of the tank, but I got the airbrush to paint models at first so it can kinda do dual actions
It would be great if the r/c companies would produce the Tiger 1 models with a correct, asymetrically-shaped turret

They should add a slight smoke effect to the gun when shooting. That combined with recoiling barrel and rocking tank would be pretty realistic looking.

Do you know how long you’re supposed to charge the battery for? And I’m asking how long to charge it for with the charger it comes with.
Typically the Li-ion needs to charge about 2 or 3 hours for a good charge carful of overcharge it will disable the battery’s power board.

Very nice. I'm relatively new to the hobby and have a few cars and one drone. I was ready to buy another 3s buggy but started watching Tank videos. I think military RC's would be great for story telling and such. Honestly how many speed runs and jumps can you watch. When I saw this tank and it's price I had to get it. I cant wait to receive it. I'm thinking it might need some dirt to make it look even more realistic. Awesome! Thanks for sharing.
Awesome man. It's always good to mix it up a bit. Sometime you wanna bash and race and jump, other times you want to relax a bit. If you have some buddies, using the IR on these tanks and virtual battling other tanks is a lot of fun. And the Tanks are also great for guys who like to customize and detail with an airbrush and such. So many thing to do.

One thing I plan on doing is a wire that goes into the hatch and adding a clear hose in the tail pipe for the Oil 🛢 fill for the Smoker

If you go with tamiya, alot of upgrades come with em as standard, worth thinking about.

I have this tank and can I say it is amazing, the only thing I dont like about it is the fact that on some turns it will throw the tracks and I have to manually fix it, other than that I love it.
So can either the plastic or metal version be custom painted without looking bad? Paint popping etc?

Hi I found this German tank at my local Goodwill but it didn’t have a remote with it . I did see a slot on the bottom for a crystal , where can I find a remote for this beast !! It has metal tracks already installed. I took a chance purchasing this , I’m hoping that I didn’t wast my money .

Love you rewiew videos mate, not boring like other "unboxing" videos. I got my Tiger 1 recently, and I love it. Goes well with my Sherman and Leopard 2A6. Not sure which one to get next, Challenger 2, or Abrams, or another Tiger.
The Abrams is so cool in person. It’s such a large tank in the lineup.

A high-velocity armor-piercing warhead projectile is needed to penetrate the plastic armor to disable that Tiger.
How do you video and drive at the same time? What is your video setup? I have a hard time getting good video of my 3d Printed RC tanks.
I know this response is almost a year late, but I'd recommend getting a tripod for your camera if you don't already have one. For when he was driving and filming, I'd say the best way to do that would be a lot of practice lol

Only use the liquid that comes with it but you can buy some more if you ran out.

I find the Tiger 1 class even with the tools attached! With the old or new tigers like Taigen these are unfortunately cast on (tools) which I think is a shame again! If you want to remodel.

On the included battery probably 15 min. But you can fit bigger batteries in here as well.
