It felt like a performance I saw in some dream.... खरंच स्वप्नावस्थेत नेलं .... The resonance in the voices of Rahul ji and Priyanka ji and the magical notes by Rohan, Aman and Bapi da just took the whole performance to a level where one would just like to wander and dive in the music...!!!

This is such a mystical song, well done. The guitar was phenomenal.
Its incredible that Rahul ji you said few things with context to भारतीय शास्त्रीय संगीत परंपरा, that are uncannily similar and are integral part of अद्वैत वेदांता संप्रदाय.
Firstly, I was stuck by this statement, that there isn't anything "new". This is so profound. Our वैदिक शास्त्र has such an overarching canvas that it has touched everything conceivable that will come (and go) in time. So when new age गुरु come with "own" system or teachings, it only betrays their ignorance of the wide width of वेदs.
Similarly, our राग system, has in its wombs every conceivable melody, using permutation and combination of set of 12 सुर. Most music directors, when they come up with an "original" composition they are just not aware of its (pre-existing) genesis.
Second thing that stuck me was the role of शिष्य being in physical presence of गुरु. Our teaching tradition acknowledges the vital role of one to one, rather face to face, live interaction. There is so much we imbibe that's not possible by reading books or virtual teaching methodology that's in vogue these days.
Another point that struck me, that you said, is that there are few points, our teacher makes, that doesn't, make sense, when it's said
And that's because we are unripe.
With time, as we mature, we see it's significance. So the pivotal place of श्रद्धा in our पारंपरिक सम्प्रदाय and holding our doubts rather than dismissing them, off hand.
Coming to the song, it was, a beautiful unplugged take of the Vishal Bhardwaj's original. As usual, you always focus on the soul or स्वरुप of the composition rather than the body or रूप. I always appreciate your ability to keep that discrimination in all of your interpretations/ unplugged covers.
It was remarkable that you brought in पंडित कुमार गंधर्व in the context of this song and seeing the commonality of the deft use of "silence". It was apt comparison from that perspective, though, as we know the genius of कुमार जी in निर्गुणि भजन शैली is unparalleled and incomparable.
Before I end, I also appreciate the composition of कुमार जी that you choose to demonstrate the significance of silence. As the बोल lyrics of the composition is just demonstrating the same truth:
सुनता है गुरु ज्ञानी, ज्ञानी ज्ञानी,
silence speaks and speaks loud and clear, if we can fine tune our ears, like we do with तानपुरा, with the (ethereal inner) ears, अलौकिक श्रोत इंद्रिय, of our गुरु.
Then we listen to never ending melody of silence, singing relentlessly, in our very "being"
