Kind of. It is inspired by Advance Wars, but it's not meant to be exactly like Advance Wars. It's meant to be a simplified turn-based strategy experience with constant adaptation and plan restructuring. Make a plan and then work with what you get. The dice rolls give you a set number of spaces you can move any of your troops in any order. You can send one soldier running across the map, or micromanage several troops in your frontline.
