A) High School is free. B) What kind of institution? Cause I can't think of a single type anywhere that takes kids for no cause, and they certainly cost way more in a month than what you'd pay for an entire year's high school. 3 months would likely be more than it would cost to put a kid through high school all 4 years.
This story is not written by an American nor anyone who has lived here in the United States of America! All American schools from beginning kindergarten and first grade thru fifth grade elementary then sixth grade thru eighth grade middle school then ninth grade thru twelve grade high school are all 12/13 years FREE of charges and there are NO Enterance exams you only need to fill out free registration papers showing birth certificate to prove age and proof of where live so that the student goes to the closest of many schools in the area! It is possible to fail the exams given at the end of a year but all students may fail the exams five separate years since students may remain in school until age 22 by federal law even though most students will graduate at age seventeen/ eighteen! Many students apply to various universities and colleges for partial or full scholarships to obtain money to go on to higher learning if they have good grades but usually only if parents cannot afford to send them!
For those saying this a asian story well i wish to point out that family moving to Boston to go to a famous college like Harvard which is in the city of Cambridge just across the river from the Boston commons!
This is a work of fiction, based on the OP's own experiences of life, in whatever culture he/she lives in. So, a lack of knowledge about the American schooling system is to be expected, if you have never been there and think that other countries have the same schooling system as your own. Much of what we think about other situations is based on our own, sometimes, insular, belief structure. I liked this story's plotline and was happy that the parents got what they deserved. Thank you OP for taking the time to write this story.
@@pandorasbox4238 It's fiction. She could have chosen it to be Sci Fi, the moon with it's own particular schooling system. It doesn't really matter what you write when its fiction. You can't take it seriously.
Where is this supposed to be? Because in America you don't pay for high school.? Not to mention you start high school around. What age, 14? What parents leave their children behind at that age? This story is so unrealistic, so I would have to say like everyone else, BS!
What you people in this comment section Don't REALIZE, Is This Story is BASED ON AN ASIAN Culture. Yes in Their culture YOU PAY TO GO into a Top high school. Don't you people study OTHER CULTURES from the Internet????
@@andynieuwenhuis7833 first of all, the family was moving to BOSTON. So no its not an Asian country. Secondly, they didnt say anything about paying for a "top high school". Cultural ignorance has nothing to do with how bad this story is.
not really that hard to put a child in such a place , my father did it to me when I was a kid saying he couldn't handle things, I wasn't there for long as my mum came and got me ( mum and dad were divorcing at the time ) I was pretty young at the time and I know mum would have been very angry at dad for doing it to me , that was over 50 years ago
@@grafton261 perhaps you need an institution now? cps began in 1965 and at that time the only institution that would take a child was mental hospitals without going thru the very new government CPS!
@@pandorasbox4238 There still are mental wards but they are part of regular Hospitals! Have discovered that there are long term private pay mental hospitals but price is massive! America does have orphanages but only way kids get there is by court order or death of parents and no relatives willing to take them and then thru CPS and the courts and many are put directly into foster care if space available!
More stupid asian WANK. It just keeps coming, although sometimes a good story slithers it’s way through. I guess that’s why I keep watching. Silly little ol’e me………..
When u give a child away, don't expect them to support u.
I have not stop smiling

Then write it for places you're familiar with. I never write about places I don't know without doing basic research.

How did your parents manage to place you in an institution without drawing the attention of Child Protective Services?
