From the looks alone, there has never been a Giant Mouse design I haven't liked! Vox and Anso are a winning Danish combo.

Coffee and cream cheese sounds like a great Danish combo to me

In Germany, I also make videos about knives. Your channel is a role model for me. That's because you have great expertise and you are honest. With you the consumer always comes first. And I feel your love for the product.

I purchased the green micarta version the end of last year. Love the design and steel choice. I personally laid back the edge to improve its slicing performance and also weight relieved the back spacer (Swiss Cheesed) to help improve the balance. I now have two GM knives that have worked there way up into my top five. The Jutland really speaks to me, it’s a great all around blade. I’ve been running it up against a cpm20cv mini Crooked River in performance and maintenance and so far I don’t see a real difference.

I really like how it crosses over from what I consider EDC to Outdoor blades. Great all around knife.

As a table top reviewer myself I am happy to see you move over to this type of platform. I really do like this knife and I really do like your background and how you presented it. Keep up the great work long time subscriber here.

GM makes some great knives. Would love to pick one up someday. Eyeing some of their smaller offerings they've released recently, like the Atelier and Tribeca. Nimbus looks pretty nice, too. Good stuff! 👍

I love the GM Jutland. One of my favourite GM knives along with the Ace Grand.

I really like this one. The detent on mine is perfection. You can't shake it loose easily but it doesn’t take a ton of force to break it either.

My only problem with this review is that I bought a Spyderco PM2 in S90V a day ago. I have always wanted a giant mouse but stuff seems to get bought in front of them. Maybe this will get its turn soon. Thanx, Aaron.

I've gotten lucky and my modern folders don't have a proud tip but I have had a few slip joints that do and man it's terrifying reaching into your pocket for them. Glad the Jutland doesn't have that issue for you!

My first generation gm Clyde in elmax has always been my sharpest knife. Could be a fifth pocket knife, but fights well above it’s weight.

Great knife, great steel, design and execution (I assume it is made by Lionsteel). Does it have ceramic or steel detent ball?
One more thing: Elmax is one of the best choices for knife blade. Very well rounded performance: great edge retention, decent toughness, very good stain resistance and is much easier to sharpen than for example m390 (sharpens like cpm154).

This is a good looking and well designed knife. The orange looks good on it as well. But, I don't know, I can get a Benchmade Narrows for $522. Tough choice.

So the question being which came first the Jutland or the crkt pilar IV? They do resemble each other even though they both had the same designer.

Great knife just wish the geometry was thinner. Like you said feels more like a date night knife than using it to gut out an animal. I'll re-profile it one day.

If you like the look of this blade, but don't like the price, there is a budget version that is a heavy-hitter.
    SRM (Sanrenmu) 9201 - 30-35$.
It is an older SRM release and the bladeshape is 95% identical to this. Seeing the Jutland immediately reminded me of the 9201.
9201 has a crossbar lock, D2 steel and G10 scales, the grind is very slicy as well.
The washer action on my SRM 9201 is just as smooth (maybe even smoother) as my Bugout, Mini Grip, Deka,...
There is even a more budget version of the same knife (8Cr13MoV & FRN), 9201-PB that costs maybe 15-20$.

G'day Aaron, I have seen a few very good designs from GM over the years. I reckon they tend to invoke the thought of, "could be your one and only folder".
Gotta say, I hate thumb holes of any description, with a passion, (exceptions, you cant get a Gator Premo or a Ranger 78 without one), cant imagine life without both of these, lol.
In fairness, I've never seen a knife fail because of what has to be a weak point between it and the spine, I just dont see the merits of going to all the trouble of making a fine blade, ..... then whacking a bloody great hole in it.
They also require an inordinate degree of lateral force on the pivot components ...... surely that cant be a good thing in the long term.
    + they're undoubtedly a crud collection point.
In any case, I do love a good liner locking flipper, for light to medium duty anyway, (gotta be a backlock for the real tough stuff IMO).
Interesting you've often found bearing jobs to have side to side play, admittedly I've only got a few, but they're all rock solid without compromising deployment, even a coupla oldies from Ruike. .......... must be because they're flippers rather than thumb hole jobs ............. couldn't resist mate ; )
I certainly do agree with you though, bronze washers make much more sense for when you get down and dirty. Cheers Duke.

$215 for a liner lock? If I'm gonna spend that much money it's gonna have to be spyderco, Benchmade or Cold Steel. I don't see the attraction here? Great video as always Aaron.
