Current supplies for this video: My paper is cut into 3.5x3.5 inch squares , or rectangles 4.25x2.75 inch and 5.25x1.5 inch from 70lb sketch book paper or from colored heavy cardstock, I use a variety of technical drawing pens most often size 01 (favorite brands are Sakura Micron, Faber Castell Pitt, Kuretake Zig but I will use whatever I have on hand), my pencil is a student grade Royal HB. I blend my graphite with a blending stump. My brush pen is by Sakura. If I color I will use either Prismacolor colored pencils or Artists Loft Water color dual tip markers or Derwent Inktense.

As with all your drawings absolutely precious...I was wondering why you shaded before you added the colour? Does it matter?

First I wasn't 100% sure I wanted color so I thought I'd shade and see how it looked. If I really loved it I would stop there, but it still was calling me for color. Also when I color first then I usually shade only with the colored pencil and don't do graphite. I feel like the graphite over the colors makes it look a bit muddy.
