Cheers I did think of that but I didn't have the bits readily available to make a strong enough a swivel... plus I was brought up with 1 of the long nodding donkey type knockers that I had to reverse up to every post so its all iv ever done.... but thanks for dropping by ....if I find any more clutter laying about I may make a swivel 1 👍
Haha yeah sorry about that...skool boy error...it does settle down after the first 30 seconds.... the hydraulic ram extends pushing the arm away from the mast of the post knocker....pulling on the rope which in turn lifts the Weight...then let the ram pressure go....and the weight drops hitting the post...just like many other machines the same but I guess you will have seen these in action...anyway thanks for dropping by....👍

Just done over a kilometer of fencing this winter myself.... believe me...I have certainly seen plenty of it working the past 3 months...🙈😂😂

Can't see how the mechanism works. Got too dizzy trying to move my head to follow the camera lens. Good post knocker.
