Swindon is a working class town with reasonable amenities. Convenient location on the M4 motorway which connects London all the way to Wales. Along this M4 corridor Swindon has the cheapest property prices for a town this size. Schooling isn't great, however there is the advantage of being close to Gloucestershire where there are a number of grammar schools. Not a great place to live in if authentic Chinese cuisine is a must, e.g. wonton noodles, dim sum, char siu rice, etc.......in fact aside from the major cities like London/Liverpool/Manchester/Birmingham/Bristol/etc, or where there's a university with a huge Chinese population, most towns/cities in England will not offer such cuisine. Safety wise, Swindon is a friendly place. By the way, the example property shown at 4m 1s of this clip is in a notorious run down council area called Penhill where crime rate is high!!
Thank you very much for your lovely sharing. You're so right about lack of Chinese cuisine in Swindon. That's probably why my mum in law prefers Bristol a lot more than Swindon. And Penhill is indeed not the area we would suggest to anyone, in fact, we suggest everyone to avoid.

Thx for video. Swindon 沒有大學又沒有太多白領工作，多數是藍領工人工作，所以屋價平也是有原因。可能因為住的人都係工人階層，所以沒有太多＄消費及沒有太多娛樂設施，生活苦悶也是可理解。次次都要去返London消費都不可說笑。所以Swindon 應該不會是有投資價值吧。所以你也選其他地方生活😩

好在乎 location, 建議妳在 Rightmove website search 一下。先租後買是正碓想法, Bnb 在 town 週圍都好多, 價錢由 £35 至 £50 一天左右。

I think job opportunity in Swindon is a concern, I wouldn't worry about hospitals as it's similar everywhere you go. The hospital in Swindon is quite big. You might need to consider finding a job from other towns if you live in Swindon.
