When you installed new con rods did you drill a hole on the large end pointing upp towards the piston so oil squirts on the piston and cools it. The standard connecting rods have oil squirt via a hole on the large end of the rod I believe. Or did you install oil squirters on the main oil gallery of the engine block?
It took me a very very long time, over 60 hours as it was my first v6 head I had done, I didn't have a flow bench so measuring and balancing the volume took most of my time.
@@PRDMotorsport sorry for the late reply would you have a link or contact for them can't find them searching online as I live in Australia, pug performance parts are hard to get down here
Nice build, I was wondering how did you find out and is possible to fit the pistons of a zx300? and that they fit the correct rods. Cant wait to see this engine in a car ;)
Hello, i just spent an awfully amount of time scrolling through pistons with a 87mm diameter. They are not a perfect fit as the inlet valve pockets dont match, but because they are low comp turned out to be ok. Guess i got lucky
I like this engine, distance between cylinders, better cranckshaft rod journals split design, light block with fat cylindef sleeves. PSA failed with making ES9A with problematic Delphi VVT phasers which fails very oftet and when VVTs are OFF camshafts timing is too late and car is not going at all.
how did you manage to source out head gaskets? im having A LOT of trouble finding a pair for myself although im not sure if i have an oil leak on head gasket or on valve cover as its freshly redone and i didnt wash it. the one place im sure it leaks is the crankshaft oil ring but thats not a problem to swap... im having the most trouble finding head gaskets... my engine code is XFZ (140kW) is yours the same or is it the other one with 142kW?
This is the non vti version early, the seal between the cam caps, always fail and will require you to take cams out to reseal, as it uses sealant not a gasket
@@PRDMotorsport well i resealed only the top covers as it didnt leak at the caps (not yet) so thats a good one as i also did my timing belt quite recently and didnt have time to take cams out as i needed the car functional asap. Thanks for the info anyway. Cheers!

Pouah ! Excellent ! Mon es9j4 aurais besoin de la même ! Super taf ! Il tourne bien ? Une vidéo serais cool !
amazing build, could you please share the rod specs ?

No. They all ready had a grove
Question: how much rpms can the stock ES9A Valve springs handle? Is ~7k safe?
7000 max. 6800 safe. They are not great for top rpm.
The engine? Start?
Hello how long is the preparation time for the cylinder heads. I know it is not your job but would you have time to prepare ES9 J4 cylinder head

@@PRDMotorsport ok merci
Out of curiosity where did you get the rods from
They were sourced from PO in Finland

You will have to do a search on Facebook for the es9j4 group and ask for Toni, if you send me a message via fb ill put you in the right direction
