    Nailed it. Lovely transcription, perfectly clear video, really helpful to go to slower speed to practise (although I use ASD anyway), I used to always just take the keys line on this, thanks for steering me to the actual bassline.

    I just love your videos. When I see the full speed video, I think I;ll never get it. and then on the slower lesson, the muscle memory will get established and then when I got back to the full speed, after a few weeks, I say to myself-"why did I think this was so hard?: your positive attitude and generosity for teaching others is fantastic. thank you so very much! plus, I love the funk!

    Hey Greg....I would love you to do Santana's Everybody's Everything...I always tend to have an issue playing this one due to the percussion involved. Not sure if David Brown is credited on it. He left Santana around the same time this album was produced.

    • @BassCovers
      @BassCovers  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Michael. I just had a listen and I see what you mean. The percussion is really busy and makes it a little difficult to hear what the bass is clearly doing. In situations like this I tend to go with the keep is simple philosophy...too many people being busy tends to take away from the song (in my opinion ;) I'll add it to the list and have a closer listen when the song comes up...thanks for the request :)

    Excellent....instead of the D harmonic on 7th, I will sometimes end the phrase on the high octave A, then add harmonics G, D and A at the 5th a couple of times to break the monotony a bit...it works great against the high-hat.

      it's tied...

    • @IvanHerenchakJones
      @IvanHerenchakJones 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BassCovers You have directed my attention to the notation. I see now that the notes are tied. Why is the tablature represented this way? A whole note is represented in tablature the same way a 32nd note would be, is it not? I was very confused initially by why the tab looked like it had so many more notes than I was hearing. Does this not go against the point of tablature?
      Side note: Putting the tabs on the bottom of the screen make it a pain to view when the video is paused due to the transport bar running right through it. Videos with sheet music/tablature aligned to the top of the window are much more user friendly imo.
