    Just wanted to say this information is still incredibly helpful today! In the very beginnings of working with Unity/C# and was able to get this feature working on my project with slightly different needs. Thank you!

    I love how your tutorials not only learn how to do what you say in your titles, but also inspire some "programming creativity" which allow us to go from a begginer level to a more advanced one.

      @Joenathan Swattingson Yeah ! Even in the first 75% it's really interesting because he shares a lot of his thought process which can be quite advanced already.

    What an excellent overview, if a bit fast-paced, on the usage of Content Size Fitter. That thing has got to be one of the most complicated bits of Unity UI out there. Masterful job!

      @@DapperDinoCodingTutorials idk if you've already done tutorials about it but maybe like how to integrate an action bar and interaction between spells that you previously made (i.e the overwatch spells?)
      I think i saw a similar action bar in your game Hel? :D

    Great tutorial, I am going to use and tweak this system for my inventory system for sure! The only tip would be that instead of enabling/disabling the Popup you could use a CanvasGroup and set the Alpha accordingly.

    • @DapperDinoCodingTutorials
      @DapperDinoCodingTutorials  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have considered that method but (as far as I am aware) it is more performant to enable and disable the object because the canvas is still being rendered whilst the alpha is at 0 which is a waste of computational power. Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not an expert on performance :p

    • @JamieRossDesign
      @JamieRossDesign 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DapperDinoCodingTutorials Yea I think you are correct that it is still rendered while at 0 alpha.
      From my limited tests, the impact looks extremely low, but yea depending on the size of the game I could see the enable/disable being worth it to save on performance.
      Just thought I would mention it!

    • @DapperDinoCodingTutorials
      @DapperDinoCodingTutorials  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep no problem :) It's good to see people coming up with their own ways of doing things then discussing which is the best method :D
