Schofield revolver( just discovered in my last playtrough how good it is)
Pump shotgun and Litchfield repeater(normally)
Sometimes Bow for hunting or rolling block rifle for long range fights like stagecoache roberry's.

@LowPolyBucket you should switch the cattlemen to a pistol like m1899 or any other better revolver.
The double barrel is very good, but it only has two shots, so I'd rather switch to a pump.
About rifles everyone have their favorite so I can't change your mind cuz it's good too.
You can find the pirate sword pretty easily and it's way better. It has more range and more damage it's like the machete but you can only achieve the machete at chapter 6 while you can get the pirate sword at any chapter for free.
Idk if you completed the game so I don't wanna spoil but mid chapter 3 you get a lot of money so from there you can finally purchase expensive guns and in ch4 is where I got most of my guns.
@@spikey_nogin so far, I have two Schofields and a Lancaster repeater and the pump shotgun. Haven’t gotten the pirate sword yet.

I refuse to use pistols because I want to be a true sure shootin', darn tootin', revolver busting son of a gun.

And the pump action shotgun is not even the best shotgun
I think that the lever action, pump action, and semi auto are all equal but have their different strengths. Pump action has some more range but semi auto is an absolute BEAST in close quarters
Ok but pump action has insane range, just try it and you will be killing people one shot guaranteed from 20 feet away or more

Cattleman is statistically better escpecially with long/rifled barrel as the only thing the schofield does better is close range accuracy
Cattleman Is Still Solid,And If You Are Constantly Getting Headshots,The Fire Rate Is An Added Bonus.

You should switch out the springfield for a shotgun, having two rifles is kinda strange
I'd suggest the 1887 lever action, pump action, or semi auto. They are all good and you can really use any, but I suggest the semi auto (you can find it for free in a location)

Best hunting rifle: rare rolling back

Best ranged blade: throwing knives
Best melee blade: broken pirate sword
Best ranged and melee blade: tomahawk

Cattleman Revolver (rarely)
Pair of Micah’s Revolvers (with the power of mod, you can get two, but before I have the mod, it’s Micah’s revolver and customized Double-Action Revolver that looks similar to Micah’s Revolver)
Schofield Revolver (sometimes replaces one of my Micah’s Revolver to Schofield Revolver)
Lancaster Repeater (sometimes)
Semi-Auto shotgun (sometimes)

By the way just for the new players the m1899 doesn’t blow up people like that you need explosive ammo to do that. And same with every weapon.
The semi-auto shotgun looks cooler and is more fun to shoot.
