Story rings true. Back in the day the LA Times covered the entire county pretty good. Periodically there would be riots at Wayside (Pitchess) and the outnumbered caucasians would get smashed by the blacks. The number of 10 caucasians per dorm also rings true. Although in those riots I don't think they wrapped plastic around a guys head and lit it on fire. I specifically remember a quote in the LA Times from one of the caucasians. "We're not wimps, but this is insane". The treatment of white men in jail is a national disgrace. But the white elites could care less about white underclass. They just want us to disappear.
Hey Badger, I am getting a bigger picture about who you are inside, I know that it is so hard for any of us to expose our vulnerabilities. I have Asperger's syndrome and I had to learn all the basic communication and especially the non verbal speak. People always get me wrong, 99 % of the time, people will see me and think that I am angry when I am just thinking. people are typically unsure of me and this was since the age of4. I am still trying to work it out. I have always been a loner and I love opiates. I have been using smack, beer, anything really except stimulants. I am bombarded with information coming at me and I am happiest sedated and alone. I say this because people need to know that others can feel differently and that you could be judging a guy harshly for his facial expressions. I have been judged so harshly my whole life and I have a huge heart. I am willing to trust every single person until They make me feel stupid for trusting, but sadly, I only give one chance

In CJ, nurses didn't know what was going on when the riots started, either! The jail got real quiet after evening chow. We were told, "You're not going home until we give you leave", and when we asked, " Whats going on?" "You'll find out" was their only reply. When we walk out of Main, one of our co-workers, (a deputy) was standing in the hallway holding a loaded rifle. We had to drive home through that! I lived in Crips territory at the time, too. Next day, injured inmates were brought over in busloads and we got orders to stop what we were doing to assist. So, we stand in the hallway with lines of handcuffed inmates on the floor, and watched to make sure everyone kept breathing. Good thing was, I already had a rep for being there to help, so I had protection on both sides of the bars. I'm so glad that you got out alive and in recovery! Easy Does It, & One Day At a Time.
