You talked about Persona & Shadow, surprise surprise..BTS has those songs too, "Intro : Persona" and "Interlude : Shadow".
With BTS, even their most poppy songs, has good-meaningful lyrics (Except Dynamite, because they don't participate at all at the song writing process)
They are not just a typical boy band... they are actually have save a lot of life with their song... isn't that so amazing... from a young age to older people... they've get inspired by them...
I'm listening other artists and they also saved my life. But yeah, BTS is different 💜
This song is the title track for the map of the soul 7 album which is heavily based on Carl Jung's Map of the soul. So you're going to see a lot of reference to Persona, shadow and ego through this album. You can check the book Murray Stein's map of the soul if you're into psychology. As for the comment section, not all army are like that in fact there are a lot of bts army that aren't tech savvy like my CEO clients and professors 😅 so most of the naggy fans are relatively young or the overprotective moms and dads online are mostly because of what bts have gone through- ridicule and overwhelming hate (like death threats) throughout their career. Just don't judge the boys since they're quite multi layered , you think you have an idea about them but as you get to know them (which you dont need to ok) you'd be surprised they're still grounded and simple despite what they went through.
They do contribute in their choreography especially for staging but they also have choreographers that they work with and the main choreographer for this was Sienna Lalau

Tbh i became a bts army because of their music, art & lyrics. The dance & good looks are just the icing on the cake.
I think not just performance but lyrics are the biggest power of BTS. Especially in Map of the Soul 7 album or Love Yourself trilogy albums. 💜

For this particular song on, BTS dance routines were choreographed by their resident choreographer Mr. Son. And the back up dancers routines were choreographed by Sienna Lalau (19y/o LA based choreographer) And the marching band that you heard from this song was UCLA band. And that MV was film at a dam in Los Angeles.
Hi there im BTS ARMY im 34 years old.. i love then not because of their looks, but because of their deep meaning full lyrics.. and based on literature.. this year album they bring Karl Jung,... and last year from Damian Hesse.. well, mostly their lyrics always so optimist and positive, and it helped me with everything in life.. like my dad pased away on July, my dad in law passed away on August and my grandma 2 weeks ago.. so basically 2020 been a shit year for me.. but wierdly everytime i listen to BTS song, read the lyrics, it makes my pain go little bit.. sorry my english is not good, im from indonesia... so yeah, their not like any other boyband or artist for me... other than their lyrics, they are really really talented, dance sing rap, write lyrics, produce songs, director, and the list goes on... and what makes people love them, that they are humble, kind, funny, and always appreciate their fans, ALWAYS, never failed to make us ARMY proud.... im a surgeon and i listen to BTS song in OR while doing doing surgery, and it will makes me calm 😊💜... love your reaction btw, both of you... you need to see their live performances. you will be shocked how stable and amazing they are live vocally and with their choreo. everyone is in sync and has perfect pitch. they're elite performers. even better at live shows than in mv.

You know it is actually really important who BTS are when we talking about their messages in their music and outside of it. BTS they are not pretending to be all perfect all put together. Also when they say i've been there. I know what it is to be poor and powerless i know what it feels to be stepped upon and dismissed you know it is sincere cause you know their story, you seen some of it happen to them in real time, you seen their hurt you seen them struggle and you felt pissed on their behalf. So when they tell in song. I'm hurting. You feel the burn. When they say i'm furious you remember all the reasons why a furry is valid. Because BTS comes from place were their audience also been or still are their message hits 100 times harder and more accurate. BTS are not preaching for their audience to be certain way, or to feel certain way cause it is the "Right way" instead they create music and besicaly tells how their life is and how they feel and what they want and basically asking with their music "Do you ever felt like this? I'm only one who is like this? Am i even have a right to feel like this?" And their audience respond with various of answers. Some have and understand, some never did but feel empathy towards them and all the people in the fandom who also shared their stories on the topic, others don't get it at all. Exchange doesn't stop here, cause BTS listen to all of it again respond with best project with theme that basically tells "I'm so glad that i'm not alone like this lets find the way to get better. Let's talk about it" then next project come and exchage continues BTS tells audience "So guys this is what i tried to do to overcome it. This worked this not and was total disaster, this made me think, i don't know if this is right answer but i feel better now" Audience respond again and call and response continues. For 7 years BTS and Army are having this conversations we fall we back up, we fall down again and get lost, we think we find the right path but it is not we learn. We. BTS and ARMY. We learn from each other, we inspire each other. Like BTS said "We charge each other bateries" when we feel without energy. Because there is feel of strong connection their message hits and burn.

If she loved these lyrics I can’t wait till she sees the rest of their music cause there are sooooo many songs that are so diverse when it comes to their message. from mental health to self love and empowerment its relatable throughout the world, they make their music to comfort others and not for selfish needs of money and fame.
