I just bought a X100VI from Craigslist. I’m setting it up now. The camera came with a black mist filter. The filter is required to make the body weather resistant. Thumbs up for the thumb grip. Have a L plate to make the grip even more secure and comfortable. Also have a square black lens hood. All came with the camera. Bought a cheap bag from one of the local camera store. $7.50. Have a black square lens hood that looks cool. I also have a class three memory card. I’m not going to do more than video clips. Bet a class one card would be alright. Mask On Nurse Marty (Ret)
Glad to see some cameras are being shipped. The latest notification on my X100VI pre-order indicated arrival by December. Regarding bags, I bought a smaller sling bag for short trips and local use to travel light. After researching many bags, I went with the Wandrd 9L sling bag. All the bags on the market in that size are functional but the Wandrd has the best rain protection I've seen so far.
Thumb grip for sure. I like the X-E4 for that no back wheel. As for the grip I just have a round black lace as I can adjust it to the perfect length, it is weight less. Also for the X-E4, hand grip is great with heavier lenses. I would add an extra battery in case (if only photo), and a lot more if video.
I had the Fuji-brand lens hood for my X100F. It was two pieces, the first piece attached to the camera, and allowed for the attachment of a filter, just like you show in your video. The front part, the actual “hood”, attached bayonet-style, which was handy, as you show, but it kept falling off, so I stopped using it. I now use a JJC hood made for the Fuji X70. It comes apart into two pieces, allowing me to put a filter between the two pieces. But it partially blocks the in-camera flash, as yours does.
Found a small flash for the Fujifilm X100-series, that fits in you’re bag for indoor flashes. The Metz 26AF-2 for Fuji. Very handy. It’s not produced anymore but can be found used sometimes. It can flash indirect which indeed gives a better result then direct. Flash is okay. Don’t expect anything from the video LED. The slave functie is not active on Fuji cameras. For more power I recommend the very small Godox X3 remote to controle one or more big Godox flashes
Probably most of the sling bags nowdays have a lid that opens away from your body. I know my Wandrd Rogue does that, my Tenba Axis sling does that, my Think Tank SpeedTop does that.
I bought the lens hood linked on your list. “JJC LH-x100”. It definitely does not work with the filter or the filter adapter. Perhaps the design has change since you got yours?
Looking at the images on the page it looks the same as mine. My small piece goes on the camera (after taking off the ring) , then the filter and then the hood snaps in place. The product description even shows how to mount a filter.
Comment on color. Just got my Amazon shipment. the silver version of the linked lens shade does not come close to matching the 100VI. It is more like a tungsten color.
Hey Booray, great selection of useful Accessories there. Nice Bag and you can put your Water bottle in, not every Bag can do that. I really like the MOMENT CINEBLOOM Filter and being able to put the lens Hood on that fits. Great choice of Accessories Booray especially the Thumb grip. I learned something new about the Moment Filter that I didn't know before. Nice one Booray, thank you. 😊📸
I am looking for a lens hood with filter and weather sealing for my X100VI. Here's the problem: Lens hoods of Haoge, Nisi, JJC, etc. all have major design problems: one lens hood falls off too easily, another one needs to be screwed on too tightly to be aligned correctly, another one comes with a little screw driver that you need to use to attach it. It's like all of these companies employ idiot designers... I seriously have no idea which one to buy...
@@BoorayPerry Of course I know that, but if Fuji made a built in thumb grip, all this would be so much easier. And speaking of thumb grips, why are most Fuji cameras lacking a proper camera grip?
An excellent list, I just have one disagreement and comment... I am not aware of ANY lens hood, made for the X100V or VI, that does not allow a filter to be fitted. ALL of the popular, and even not so popular, lens hoods are designed to allow filters because after all filters are a necessary part of the X100VI to allow for water resistance. I however DO use and recommend the same round lens hood he does for one major reason not mentioned... its the only design that is compatible with the WCL and TCL adapters for the X100VI, meaning you can with a twist unscrew the hood, screw the adapter onto the camera, then attach the hood to the adapter... it works with everything... base camera... TCL... and WCL, something the square hoods can't claim. However again, if you don't have the WCL or TCL and just use the camera as is... you can buy any lens hood and use it with a filter.

I use the Godox TT350.

How about a filter and ring to make it waterproof. A shame the ring doesn’t come with the camera.
I've never really had a problem with water on my cameras. Yes, that makes it more waterproof but I could get by without it. :)
Also, the filter I mention in the video does that.
Now I was expecting you to put in the WCL-X100 II in at number 3
I love that lens but honestly, I don't like to carry it. I could live without it.

Hey Booray, great suggestions! I am looking for a half case for an X100S I recently bought for cheap.
Any suggestions?
I have this one and it's great. Very "old school"

The one I show in the video is my second one and they have always been easy..
I'm guessing that’s the JJC lens hood. I love mine. It just works.
Hey, Booray. After talking down the paracord wrist strap you gave a link to a paracord list strap. What is it that you use?
How do you connect the flash if the thumb grip is occupying that space? 😮
You have to take it off, which I hate.
@@BoorayPerry Of course I know that, but if Fuji made a built in thumb grip, all this would be so much easier. And speaking of thumb grips, why are most Fuji cameras lacking a proper camera grip?
@@juliegreller9242 I honestly think it's all about the look.
I've lost at least 4 thumb grips because of this😢
@@samuelsmith6804 🤣 I feel your pain. However, if they built a thumb grip that had a hot shoe on top of it and a pass through it would be so ugly. 🤣🤣
Wrong link for the strap! Please correct. Thanks.
Fixed! :)

I have lens hoods that will not work with a filter.
