Cotto didn't get robbed in his fight with Mayweather, he got taken out of his game plan yet still gave Mayweather the best/closest fight of his career. That alone is proof of how amazing a boxer he is. When it comes to Mayweather you don't have to beat him to show your worth being the only boxer to land that much punishment on him is more than enough.

After all this racism between Latino and Black boxing fans today, its nice to see two world class fighters like Canelo and Trout serve as positive examples in the public. I respect BOTH of these men because they know how to conduct themselves like honorable individuals and they maintain humble attitudes. Too many boxers now days like to exploit the spotlight which escalates the racial tensions behind every fight. FUCK THAT RACISM SHIT! WE NEED MORE HONOR IN BOXING WITH FIGHTERS LIKE THESE!

Nobody has attracted more people to boxing than Miguel Cotto, Cotto's style, personality, good looks attracts people into this sport......people who don't know shit about boxing (like myself) started watching boxing because of Miguel Cotto he's just awesome and his fights are NEVER boring!
This was a good video, put together by Showtime. I enjoyed seeing the confedence displayed from both fighters. Yet clearly determined in this video that Trout was destined to be the victor.

Miguel is from my city. Of all the boxers to come out of there, he is the most successful, most talented, and most well known. I will always be proud of him win or lose in anything. He made it out and succeeded amazingly.
Cotto is a true warrior he fought the best whether he beat them or not doesn't matter he got in the ring with the best in the world

ive noticed in 2 fights where the opponent ask for an autograph and the person that gives the autograph loses ,i seen it in this fight and the manny vs marquez fight ,it could be coinsidence not sure.
@Rob Velzeboer i totally agree! cottos story is one of tragedy and triumph! i cant help but wonder what he would he like now if margarito didnt cheat him like that. after that fight he seemed to have lost that fearlessness that defined him previously. he is part of one of the greatest and most sensational generations in boding history.

Best fighter of this era. FIGHTER not boxer...boxer goes to PBF. But fighter Cotto. Fought the best toe to toe...never ducked anyone. My favorite fighter of this era.

okay i do agree with everything you said about cotto's impact on boxing, but his only undeserved loss was with margarito. before pacquiao, all his fights were at or below 147. the pacquiao fight was at 145. 2 pounds did not make or break the fight.

Cotto is a hall of famed in my book. A legend in boxing and has my respect. I know he wont go out like a bitch and I think this fight will be great. Trout seems like a good guy. Both deserve the fight but cot needs it more. Trout is young and getting his exposure now... Skys the limit now for ya!
Cotto will definitely destroy Trout in a rematch. Cotto came back and won the Middleweight belt than got robbed by Canlo Cotto outboxed Canlo Trout caught Cotto on an off night. Trout is a very good fighter but Cotto is an all time great fighter.

I don't know what it is nowadays with lack of water given to fighters or poured over their head,back of neck and down front of shorts. I know in training to increase stamina less water and so forth but when a fighter is in the fight give him water when you see he's tiring/dehydrating (lips look dried) or when they have had a troubled round have the sponges ready and soaked, I remember when fighters used to have so much poured over them that refs used to ask for it be cleaned. COMMON SENSE!

How can you say that after last nights fight?
Before getting the fight Trout was just a guy who's been proving himself for some time but because of lack of fame, he never got his big match. Now that he's got a fight with Cotto, win or lose, as long as Trout gives a great performance, his career will get huge boost. Assuming of course he does not get embarrassed.
