compared to the stock version the modded version definitely sounded better, just not great. Very nice mod video, and man having you voice over your videos is so so much better in my opinion

I'm trying to find some battery at shopee or aliexpress but not sure which one will fit, there's no much space for battery on the case
Based on the other rk71 modding videos, the switches are not hot swappable and requires soldering. How come the one that you have im this video is hot swappable. I am planning to buy one for me and i need clarification for this model.
Hey! I think most units in Asia now are the latest hotswap version, even newer versions now come with the plate foam. I would suggest checking before buying just to make sure. Because there's not really a model number or code to verify 😅

@@vinzab3347 I have an RK71 bought on Amazon (US) and sadly I dont think mine is hot swap. I tried pulling a switch out, but it didnt come out easily and I dont want to break it so I stopped.

Hey I think it's because of the design of the keyboard, if u want a better sounding one I would suggest getting a gasket mounted keyboard, I have one on my channel the PG67 u can check it out

Can this modification fix the chattering issue with RK71? Also can this keyboard be upgraded with optical switch?
What's chattering? Maybe getting lubed stabilizers will help. And no it can't support optical switches, just mechanical ones

My switches aren’t coming out on my rk71 is mine not hot swap?

You could try tape modding the back of the pcb. I only have a layer of foam in the case but it made my stock switches sound way more poppy
Yes I have tried that but hmm doesn't seem to really have an effect on Tactile switches, I will try again tho thanks!

Poron plate foam is really expensive so i hesitate to buy. Currently using dimple plate foam which only cost me a dollar 😅

Hmm I would suggest trying out more switches first, u can always try out switches by buying one and testing it
are the keycaps cherry profile? if so did it create interference with the fact that its north facing PCB?
Yeap cherry profile, but no Akko switches have a longer stem so there is no interference
