Everyone keeps talking shit about Vic's voice but singing that kind of music and those songs live are a lot harder than people think. Yeah its easy in the studio cause you can take it bit by bit and tune it, live its all out there and its difficult.
I hope you know that music use to suck recorded in studios and use to be really beast live. Now it's the other way around. It's really disappointing listening to their recording studio songs then hearing them live.

I haven't seen a live performance where vic wasn't sounding out of breath the whole time. Including the one I went to. It was still a blast though.
I was like am I just really high and realize how awful they sounded back then and questioning my choice of music but realizing it’s just a bad quality set after seeing them live multiple times I guess with time they’ve definitely gotten better lol

Emo and Metal are definitely the hardest musical styles to sing. You have to have a breath big, and they still have a strong throat, otherwise you f your throat. Even more the Emo who have higher voices, and still make Screamo. That's why most Rock Vocalists in general, including all styles, their voices get so f up over time. These guys literally sacrifice their voices, an example of that is Corey Taylor, in the first days his screams were animals, in Iowa (2001) he sounded like a demon, but he was almost mute because of that, he screamed without any "protection" to not f with his voice, and he broke up with her, in 2004 his voice was horrible because he had broken up with his voice, and he was still addicted to drugs and alcohol.
To hit that high note after doing a show so hard on his voice man a fucking trooper crowd should’ve been a bit more enthusiastic
