🍃ヤマネの基礎情報🍃
🐾「ヤマネ」って何？
日本に生息するヤマネは「ニホンヤマネ」という正式名称を持ち、一般的には「ヤマネ」と呼ばれます。ヤマネはげっ歯目ヤマネ科に属しており、ハムスターなどのネズミ科とは異なる種類です。ヤマネ科には海外のものを含めて28種類がありますが、日本のヤマネは一属一種のみで、国の天然記念物で、勝手な捕獲は禁止されています。
🐾生息地と生態
ニホンヤマネは本州、四国、九州、隠岐の島に生息が確認されています。冬には寒さと食糧不足に対応するため、体温を0℃近くまで下げて冬眠します。
🐾ヤマネの特徴
体重: 約18g（ニワトリの卵よりも軽い）
大きさ: 口先から尾の先まで約13cm
外見: 背中に一本の黒い線があり、ふさふさした尾とくりくりした目が特徴です。

🍃 Basic Information About Dormice 🍃
🐾 What are Dormice?
Dormice in Japan are formally known as "Nihon-Yamane," commonly referred to as "Yamane." They belong to the Gliridae family of rodents, distinct from the Muridae family to which hamsters belong. While there are 28 species of dormice worldwide, Japan has a single species which is designated as a national natural treasure. Unauthorized capture is prohibited.
🐾 Habitat and Ecology
Nihon-Yamane can be found in Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu, and the Oki Islands. To cope with the cold and food scarcity in winter, they hibernate by lowering their body temperature to near 0°C. Would you like to learn more about dormice?
