I remember not knowing what it was at all until my dad had ordered it and it came in from the mail. For some reason however, it wasn't normal, and by that I mean you could repeat boss fights, but you wouldn't get the heart container, it was weird
You're telling me. Wanna know how old I was when TP released? I was about 10-11ish and in 6th grade. Now I'm 20 going on 21 and I'm an almost junior in college. Hard to believe it's already been about a decade since this game released.
Its not nostalgia because its been out so long. Its nostalgia because there is only one first playthrough no matter how you wish you could play it for the first time again. :(
Over the years the lost woods sort of seemed to age and mature with the long time players. At first its a fun mystery, then very familar stomping grounds. In oot its home. In ww the theme is still there, the forest is still cool if a bit eerie, until the koroks and great deku tree fill the space. Its then you realize the eeriness has been replaced with the comfort of the forest spirits. In tp, its mysterious with a feeling de ja vu, even though you as tp link have never been. Its not as safe as the music tries to say it is. Faron woods in ss is completely foreign and new, only the name of it getting a reaction. In a way you can't explain, you've come home and you yet to know why, the dangers of the woods few but easily managed. In botw/totk you don't know the woods anymore; they make you nervous. alert. Only by reaching the center do you even begin to feel close to safe and welcome. You don't question the natives being so nice, but you're just glad that they are and all they were doing was their job trying to protect the forest.
ForeRunnerODST Same for me. It has a nostalgic vibe to it, but instead of making me look back on the good experiences with the game, it just makes me feel really sad and lonely. I guess it's the mood of the music, a sad rendition of a happy song.
My sister got so pissed off playing this game because she couldn't figure out which way Skull Kid went, and so I was just laughing at her while she was wandering around singing made up lyrics to this song that got increasingly more angry. Ah, good times...
This takes me back to that one Friday night, my parents left for a party and it was just my sis and I. I remember vividly ordering pizza w/ chicken wings and I was watching my sis play twilight and she was at this part following skull kid around and I kept telling her “he went that way!” while also eating pizza. Those were the good old days...I miss you sis. I hope you’re okay in Florida. ❤️
I didn’t realize how much anxiety I was feeling until I randomly clicked on this video. As soon as Saria’s song started playing, I felt a flush of peace in my mind and body. Crazy
My first cousin once removed recently passed at the age of 18 after fighting a rare form of bone cancer. She was a talented artist who really loved Zelda. Whenever I listen to this music now, I think of her, and I try to tap into even a small portion of the enormous creative potential that she displayed in her short life. I'll try my best to keep the spirit of adventure and creativity alive, Allison.
Chris The nightwatcher I think it's supposed to feel that way. Kind of a sad, depressing version of Saria's song while you traverse through a relatively lifeless forest (excluding those weird puppet things and the skull kid).
If I could go to any place in Twilight Princess In real life I would go here, and I would just sit on the grass and stare into the trees and the water and the leaves and I would lay back and fall asleep in the hot sun while the small breeze would keep me cool while the grass would surround me and keep me comfortable and while I doze off and think of happy thoughts.... My God I Love This Game So Much....
I wish I lived in a world that felt as serene as this.. 2020 edit: Guys, I get it. The world can be serene, just shut up already. It's a 4 year old comment and it's supposed to be taken literally. The real world is not at all like the legend of zelda and is special in their own ways..
whats wrong with twilight? did you not hear what Midna said? according to her the twilight was a very peaceful place until zant showed his face around that place
Its sad to think that as you wonder through the forest, that used to be where the kokiri lived(I know in oot the temple of time was in castle town but face it, your in the forest, if your too stubborn than its a back ally of sorts to the temple since you enter from the side) where after however long the only living thing is the skull kid you taught sarias song to in oot who, in his loneliness, made the puppets. And when the skull kid sees link, and remembers the tunic, is so eager to play like they had before he runs off to play hide and seek, never realizing the link he remembers is dead, and this link is his decent, he probably only thought link grew up a bit... How sad...
Jallex11 what I think happened was that at some point between Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess castle town was abandoned and moved to another location and a forest grew over what was castle town which explains why the temple of time is in the forest, this move in theory is likely due to the destruction Ganondorf caused in Ocarina of Time.
Ocarina of Time: Link: Hey, Skull Kid... Listen. Someday, probably out of nowhere, I might...leave you. Skull Kid: Leave me? Link: Yeah... Skull Kid: You mean you'd....abandon me? Link: No! No... I would leave, but not because I would want to. Skull Kid: I...I don't understand. Link: I know. Maybe you won't right now. But you will in the future...sometime in the very distant future. Skull Kid: ..... Link: Hey, Skully? Could you promise me one thing? Skull Kid: I...I'll try. Link: (laughs) There's something very important to me...that I've got to put away for a while...something very, very special. Skull Kid: Your sword? Link: Yes. I...I can't keep it with me like I wanted to. There are...bad guys out there who want to take it away from me.... Do you know what that means? Skull Kid: I...I think so... Are you hiding it because there are mean guys who wanna use it to do bad things? Link: ...Yes. That's right. And to prevent that from happening...I have to hide it someplace safe. Skull Kid: O-Ok... Link: I...I was going to bury it somewhere, but...I think I'd rather place it somewhere that the bad guys won't think to look. Someplace very, very special to me... (pauses) Do you remember the forest we used to play in? Skull Kid: Yes... You showed me your Ocarina. And you...gave me those wooden pipes...The ones you had when you were a Deku Scrub. I remember. Link: Of course you do. Well, you know how I gave you those wooden pipes and told you to keep them safe for me? Skull Kid: Y-yes... Link: Well, I need you to do the same for me now with the Master Sword. I feel...like someday, a new evil might appear and try to...do more bad things to the people I care about. I don't want that to happen. So I'm going to ask you a favor, Skully. One day, I'm going to leave this world, not because I want to, but because my time will be up. I'll miss you. But...I want you to take my sword and hide it in the woods where we used to play. Skull Kid: So...the bad guys won't get them, right? Link: ...Yes. That's right. And someday, even though I'll be gone, you might see someone who looks just like me who wanders into the forest... And he may be in big trouble, and he might need my sword. Skull Kid: Do I scare him away? Link: No, no. No, Skully. If you see a young man wander into the forest, and he looks just like me, I want you to lead him here... Skull Kid: I...I don't.... Link: Hush. Just listen. You might not understand, but you will someday. This man, who looks just like me, he might be in big trouble, and he might really need my sword. So I want you to take him to it... You remember how we used to play Hide and Seek? Skull Kid: Yes. You're the only one who ever found me...no matter where I hide... Link: That's right. So, if you ever see this man, play hide and seek with him... He may not understand what you're doing at first, but...but he will. And if he's truly worthy, he'll find you always. That's how you'll know it's me. Promise? Skull Kid: I promise. Link: No matter how long it takes, promise me you'll wait. It may be 10 years from now, or 50, or maybe even 100... But no matter what...you protect that sword. And when you see me, I'll be looking for you. So promise me...that you'll wait for my return... Skull Kid: I....I promise. 100 years later.... Skull Kid saw the man in green, his Link. And he lead him in the direction of the Master Sword, the reminder of his friend's promise on the wind's breath... True friends, never die, not even time can change that....
And now im listening to it again, and i want to play this game. AGAIN. The music in this game was just to good. Definitely not only one of my top 5 zelda games, but my top 5 video games EVER. Nintendo, go back to this design of game... creating. If you dont, then... Dang. XD
Bro, if you dont feel nostalgia for this amazing game, then you have problems. No, not really, its your opinion. Also, anyone can feel nostalgia for a game made 9 years ago, especially this great of one. people could be 60 and feel nostalgia for pong or something. I dont know. That was kind of random.
+Riolin Riolu I got this the day I got my Wii: November 29, 2006. I was at a friend's house up the block riding the Wave skateboard thing outside when I saw the Fed Ex truck go by. I immediately went home and don't think I have every Waved since. It doesn't seem like 10 years ago.
+Riolin Riolu Hard to believe isn't it. Seems like yesterday I would play it when I got home from school 6th grade year. And I'm not the only one it seems. Fond happy memories :)
Ganondorf: Gwa ha ha ha !! To bad you fool will never face me, since you're little helper is dead. What a sad one that must be for you, the torture didn't last long. (evil grin) Gwa HAHAHAHA!!
Hero of Hyrule Well, to bad Fire is effective against them. Just two or tree attacks with Din's Fire and those Re-Deads are dead. But still... To bad the Shadow temple doesn't got outside the Re-Dead an Restaurant :P .
Twilight Princess is by far, the best zelda game (in my opinion). Not just because the graphics are a bit better but because the gameplay and characters are so thought out and amazing! Midna is like.. the best guidance character there ever was. She wasn't annoying (not all the time anyways >.
I agree. Twilight Princess was my first Legend of Zelda game, and I think it is by far teh best. I didn't enjoy the newer titles, and the only one that comes close to Twilight Princess's never ending amazing-ness is the Wind Waker, which I really enjoyed the open world. I hope we get a sequel for Twilight Princess, and it better be good if they do make one. I don't want a sequel that ruins Twilight Princess!
Twilight Princess was a great game, but it's not the best. Majora's Mask is, I feel, the best, and most unique Zelda game that has been made so far. It's got an absolutely brilliant, emotional story, with a lot of very dark undertones to it. That game is straight up creepy when you look for it. All of the characters are great, and it represents a very large departure from the traditional Zelda core plot. There's no princess, no triforce, all there is, is the recognition and acceptance of great loss, and finding the will to overcome it. However, I'm completely biased, because Majora's Mask also happens to be my favorite games of all time!
Sometimes I start up the game just to come here and relax. I don’t even accomplish anything in the game. I just marvel at the ruins. It feels like coming home.
I remember sitting in the basement when I was just 8, watching in complete awe as my older brother started this game up. I was entranced by the very first scene, and never forgot the nights I sat down there with him as he played this game, me watching like Midna over his shoulder.
One thing I noticed when revisiting the grove after beating the temple of time is how you can still see the light from skull kid's lanturn and even occasionally encounter those puppet enemies. Just shows that he's still pranking link even after we discovered everything skull kid wanted us to find. Kind of wish we could see him directly again. Same with ook.
I hope the next LOZ game is more like Twilight Princess. I like the darkness and utter hopelessness and despair you get when you play the game, but soon replaced by a triumphant feeling when you actually accomplish something... Utterly beautiful
All the happy new and wonderful things in this forest have been gone for 1000 years Now all that is left is the skull kid remembering those good times that passed
One sunny day, this summer, I want to grab my phone, my earphones, and just walk into the woods next to my house here while listening to this. Just... walk. Walk until I reach the end on the other side, looking at my surroundings, letting my thoughts fly free, listening to this... listening to this... exploring the areas of the woods that I never have walked before, listening to this... listening to this...
As much as Twilight Princess had several things about it that I thought could have been done much better, I felt that the Sacred Grove was one of the best-designed areas out of ANY Zelda game, and the same goes for this music! The whole area feels like a 3-D version of ALTTP's Lost Woods, and there is also the strange combination of nostalgia and sadness due to the remix of Saria's Song and the sight of OOT's Temple of Time having been destroyed. Plus ALTTP and OOT are my two favorites so far, so it's great to have reminders of those!
Matt W its still one of my favorite Zelda areas. a few areas, like the great bay and gerudo valley might tie, as well as the sky area in minish cap, but I love the sacred grove a lot.
I have very large woods in my backyard. When I feel down and want to forget about all my troubles, I'll just go back deep in the woods where it's peaceful and quiet, with the sun shining past the spaces in the leaves and just listen to this song...
Take me back..my childhood was when I was most happiest, and now with all these things that have happened to me in my adult life, no matter how hard I tried and kept trying, it has always backfired, gone wrong, thrown in my face. Everything's gone horribly wrong and I just want to go back to a time where everything made sense and went right. I know its dangerous to live in the past but I just can't help but think sometimes. I want to continue living to see myself succeed over this awful time in my life, but I'm so tired, will it ever go?
+Kisa Hime Summon the strength of the Hero. Life sucks, man, not going to sugarcoat it. But there's always a light at the end of the tunnel. Even in the darkest mines, there is an exit. And if you get caved in, make a new exit. Stay strong. I believe in you.
+X The Legend Thank you. What a beautiful thing to say. I'll always keep this in mind now. I don't know who you are but you are a good person to the core.
I agree friend. I was watching the new Zelda trailer today, and broke down in tears. I want to go back to a simpler time, before the pain, before the sickness.....
To anyone who is reading this, I would just like to say that this game was what built my childhood. As I am now thirteen, I remember all the times I would watch my father play this game, and when time passed he watched me. This game is nostalgia to some, and nothing to other people, but for me, this got me through some really hard times. Thank you, Twilight Princess. ;-;
This was the fourth videogame i ever played. I firmly believe it changed my life forever. I am 17 right now, and I can say for certain that this game changed the way I see a lot of things.
There is something more about this place in the game that I cant describe. Makes me feel at home. Makes me remember more than just memories, but the feelings of a life long gone. A world that was a bit younger, but irreplaceable and never forgotten. Special songs really give you that feeling and this has always been one of them to me. This one always felt like home in a strange way. I literally get placed back to those days as a young teen, exploring my grandmothers forest in her back yard, playing with friends and family, enjoying the peace of life, etc. Zelda really captures nature in its purest form doesnt it? Makes you connected to it.
@@stevieboy6715 Congrats! :D Feels so good, but never quite the same... I've imagined my fair share of potential Legend of Zelda games. 1 Which I think Nintendo would pay good money for. But I doubt I can ever share it :(
I remember listening to this for hours while doing my homework in college. It's absolutely crazy; 12 years later and now I'm reviewing my wife's essay for school (she's going back), all while listening to this same song. Sheik was right. "The flow of time is always cruel... its speed seems different for each person, but no one can change it... A thing that does not change with time is a memory of younger days..."
twilight princess is an allegory for growing up. We were all kids when OoT came out and sure enough 8 years later and a TEEN rated zelda game comes out with much more dark and mature tones. we are generally all teens at the time of twilight princess, leaving our childhood behind in eagerness to grow up. The sacred grove reflects that feeling so well with the master sword, the essence of link's childhood in OoT, locked away in an ancient, untouched forest that seems to have been forgotten just like how most teens leave their childhoods behind as they get older
I just thought of something. It's kinda like a fanfic... And the beginning is probably gonna be terrible. You have been warned. Saria perched on the edge of one of the kokiris houses, one of the old ones, where the Kokiris used to live when Link was amongst them. She thought back to happier days, before he left forever, playing her Ocarina with him, and even teaching him how to play her song. Her song, filled with happy and sad memories, it was always there for her. Taking a heavy breath, she thought "curse this immortality, never being able to join Link, ever again..." Taking a deep breath, she began to play her song, the notes taking a much sadder note than usual. Unknownst to her, the notes reached the ears of a hero, very much like the one she once knew...
Of course, the hero of time is in Twilight Princess, so that means he's probably immortal, too. So they could just meet up with each other whenever they want, right?
ya'll wanna have yourt heart broken?.. Saria's Song.. to take us back to when we where kids.... Skullkid's trumpet...a friend who awaited for us an eternity...the friend with that smell...that forest fairy who taught him that song... The pupets...Skullkid is cursed...but he never forgot his friend...he was just a ghost playing with his friend who came back..
A young child finds themselves lost in a gigantic and eerie woods, they wander aimlessly calling out of anyone is around and Hope's that they are heard so they can leave this creepy place. Oh, but suddenly! They hear some giggling, they follow the noise in hopes that it's a another child that they can accompany but, once they arrive.. no one is there or can be heard anymore. They then feel a chill and realize that it's getting late which is making it colder, they shiver softly but dont lose hope. They carefully tread through the woods only to come across places that look familiar, they then realize that they have walked in a circle and are lost. They begin to feel dread and worry for their safety, they push it aside and walk around. Once more they hear a soft giggle, they immediately turn and follow the noise! They see a dim orange light fade as it gets farther, the young one then runs after it so they wont lose it. They continue running until they see a place that was very familiar.. well, except for the new pathway, of course. The child is now confused, they havent seen this before.. they walk in slowly yet cautiously. They come across an area with a bit of a drop down, they notice that there is rocks surrounding a little pillar where a small creature stands. The child then slowly climbs down the vines and approach the creature that they see. The Skull Kid only giggles and requests that you play hide and seek for a while, the young child is reluctant but complies anyways. They play hide and seek for a long time, the child had lost track of how longs it's been. After they find the kid one last time, he hopes onto the center pillar and giggles again before speaking "That was so much fun! Thank you for playing with me!" He smiles brightly, the child smiles back as they had a lot of fun as well. And then without a word, the Skull kid stretches out his hand for the child to shake it as to say to each other 'Good Game!'. At first, the child is confused but then realizes what he wants, they stretch their hand and softly grip the others while shaking it slowly. They both giggle and smile at each other.. You wake up in your room, the time is 4:18am.. it's dark but not quiet as soft music of a harp and flute are playing to create a lovely song that sounds beautiful yet eerie. You think about why you woke up, what did you dream that couldve possibly woken you up. You close your eyes and think.. you then remember everything. Your nolstagia kicks in and you begin to tear up and cry a little, the lost woods was always your favorite place as a kid whenever you played Zelda. You smile to yourself and let out a sad giggle then say softly "The Skull kid isnt alone anymore.." You close your eyes and distantly you hear a giggle "Thank you." This story is based on a dream I had recently, I hope you enjoyed!
Ah an old friend it has been too long the world of Zelda games is unique and nostalgic it aided me in my lowest point so far I must go back and play it again
This takes me back to last schoolyear everything was allways agenst me even the teachers were agenst me they only belived one boy and that guy was namend Levi and i was always alone my friends did help me and now i am at the final class of my school and the teachers there like me and students too i was litry tearing up to know that the new class i am in now is a good one and a couple weeks ago i lost my second grandfather i have no grandfathers left hearing this song reminds me of him he loved the forest i wil allways remember him and have the wil to move forward watch over me grandfather 🙏😉
I had a really nice dream after listening to this for 20 mins. I felt very rested like never before or in a long time. Interesting. Something about the small wind sounds really spark something strange and somber within me, but also calm me at once.
***** I know that feeling, though I'm not even a teen yet, there is a woods in my backyard and every time I go in it I just disconnect from the world around me, it is truthfully magical in a sense
Every time i go hiking or camping out in a dense forest, i play sacred grove and forest temple music, in hope of finding some amazing zelda related fantasy XD
God, the Skull Kid was so lonely, waiting for the Hero of Time for so many years, not knowing he died in battle after returning from Termina and started a family with Malon... just waiting for him to see him again, but that never happened. I feel so bad for him.
He's kinda dead but it's not like the Hero of Time can't go meet skull kid still, you can meet him yourself in twilight princess in the form of the Hero's Spirit
@@uchiha7345 He does not, the new Links are descendants of the old ones, check the wiki page for the "hero's spirit" a stalfos version of the Hero of Time that lived on past death can be encountered by the Hero of Twilight in Twilight Princess
@@potatoking4227 Twilight Princess Link is a farm boy and descended from Ocarina of Time Link, it's likely he would've married Malon. If I remember correctly, Hyrule Historia says this.
Best game ever, In my opinion. Yes Ocarina of Time was amazing, but this game is quite similar to it. Then add the creative plot and characters, TP is not only my favorite Zelda game, but also my favorite video game overall. I absolutely loved the soundtrack, especially the Sacred Grove music.
I never grew up with Zelda. Twilight princess was my first Zelda game and I played it when I was 14-15 back in high school of 2011. But whenever I hear this song I feel so nostalgic to back when I was even younger. I feel the same when I hear OoT's theme even though I haven't even beaten it yet. Those songs remind me of when I was a kid when the only thing that mattered to me was video games and Pokémon. And when I listen to this, I get sad and miss those days.
Dude, both of them are real classic Zelda games. Specially Skyward Sword. Maybe you're comparing twilight princess just to ocarina of time and majoras mask
@@reviandelumiel2833 I think they mean the Wiimote controls for Skyward Sword. I never played Link's Awakening so I can't comment on its mechanics, but I think that's what they meant.
Ive always loved skull kid and related to him being alone and hurt in majoras mask when i was young, it was nice to see him in twilight princess and whenever things would be rough i would turn on my gamecube and come to sacred grove. So beautiful i love the music and the scenery.
I remember twilight princess being a HUGE adventure. A lot went into this game. So much that I’m satisfied with one playthrough. With OOT and MM they’re expansive however leave so much to be desired once you learn every corner of the game, it almost takes the shape of an old friend you can’t make new memories with. So you visit and indulge in the good times over and over however it’s sad because we all must go on. Maybe I need to give this game another go. I still won’t collect those dumbass stamps though.
This is one of the best games I played and evertime I hear this it reminds me of my brother who passed away yesterday he was only 16 he loved this game but he's gone now 😭💔
Everyone's always saying this song is peaceful. This song brings me sorrow. When I first played TP, this song and the Temple theme made me cry because they reminded me of OoT days. I was younger, and really sad that the Link that I grew up with (OoT Link) was dead and there wasn't anything I could do about it. All of my accomplishments in OoT, gone. Sad stuff.
I searched for this song to calm down my angst and to see what joy this song may brourght others. All i found was just a bunch of sad adults.... We're getting old, gals and guys.
I always listen to long pieces of LOZ music while doing course work, has helped me to focus better for years. Dragon roost island is another favorite to listen too.
*Humming along* Can you see? Can you see? All the remnants... of the past... Can you hear? Can you hear? This song... From years apart... Softly playing throughout the forest... The memories suddenly come back.... But don't you worry, The legend will keep you safe
i have never felt this way ever again, this game has such a specific feeling, From the very beginning you realize that there is an end, even if you search for more, you won't find it, there's a start and an end. When i was a child it always felt like it wasn't just a game. This game taught me nothing is permanent, everything changes, you can't hold onto anything forever, you can only experience it and remember what it felt like. Playing this game made me feel like I could never keep anything, once the games done, it's done. When finishing a game you should feel excited, but when finishing this game I felt empty, like I left something behind.
Ah. Memories of OoT... The woods were by far my favorite place in TP. Also, the Forest Temple was my favorite dungeon, the two guards puzzle was the best one in the game, and I loved the part when you go into the temple of time. I wish Nintendo would've had TP Link see the Hero of Time inside. Since the Hero is the living precursor to the Hero's Shade, Nintendo could've made it so that Link would be taught a sword skill by the living Hero of Time himself. That would've been sweet. Also, the parts involving the Master Sword's pedestal were really creative.
Listening to this makes me really sad for some reason.. It brings back memories of the early 2000s when I was just a child, when times were simple, makes me realize those days are gone & they’ll never return.
Best Zelda game in my opinion cause it was the most realistic one, the gameplay was smooth, story was phenomenal, characters were very fleshed out, graphics and music were sights and sounds to behold.
Idk if it was because this came out in a specific point of my life but Twilight Princess hits my nostalgia more than any of the other games I’ve played and I’ve played almost all of them. The music alone makes me want to drop everything and play it again
It's scary to know Twilight Princess is now considered "nostalgia". I remember eagerly anticipating it's release.
I KNOW! WHERE HAS MY LIFE GONE?! Oh, wait I know, playing Zelda.
I remember not knowing what it was at all until my dad had ordered it and it came in from the mail. For some reason however, it wasn't normal, and by that I mean you could repeat boss fights, but you wouldn't get the heart container, it was weird
Gianni Gonzalez and then a skeleton popped out
You're telling me.
I heard this song for longer than 10 hours because I was trying to get the f*cking master sword
Lmao that took me 15 minuets #Walkthrough XD
20 minutes
@shassitojn 49 But not everyone wants a guide ;)
@shassitojn 49 it wasn't popular at the time for it's release
@shassitojn 49 you really just say that to a three year old comment?
You feel a wave of memories flooding through you but they're not yours, yet so familiar it feels like you never left.
You've met with a terrible fate, haven't you?
DETERMINATION
It’s the perfect sort of place, if you like that sort of thing.
No they're mine, I grew up exploring this grove
This song has something so mysterious about it. It makes me feel something that I just can't describe.
ForeRunnerODST Same for me. It has a nostalgic vibe to it, but instead of making me look back on the good experiences with the game, it just makes me feel really sad and lonely. I guess it's the mood of the music, a sad rendition of a happy song.
Im feeling so nostalgic
it makes me feel like everything makes sense in the world...
it makes me feel like everything makes sense in the world...
the notes sound like they're hiding something
My sister got so pissed off playing this game because she couldn't figure out which way Skull Kid went, and so I was just laughing at her while she was wandering around singing made up lyrics to this song that got increasingly more angry. Ah, good times...
lol
hahaha that's sounds like some thing I would do with my mom
If you played any metroid prime game if you remember magmor caverns I sang my version of the song there
That's hilarious.
Søul Eater i was looking for light
Zelda music comment sections are oddly friendly
I don't know about them but i find that this song makes me want to just stay quiet, sit and relax.
well alrighty then
bitepunch That's a really good username.
thanks i appreciate that
bitepunch Yeah no problem m8
This takes me back to that one Friday night, my parents left for a party and it was just my sis and I. I remember vividly ordering pizza w/ chicken wings and I was watching my sis play twilight and she was at this part following skull kid around and I kept telling her “he went that way!” while also eating pizza. Those were the good old days...I miss you sis. I hope you’re okay in Florida. ❤️

Exactly the same as you and now I'm turning this anxiety into goosebumps and getting relaxed ..

My first cousin once removed recently passed at the age of 18 after fighting a rare form of bone cancer. She was a talented artist who really loved Zelda. Whenever I listen to this music now, I think of her, and I try to tap into even a small portion of the enormous creative potential that she displayed in her short life.
I'll try my best to keep the spirit of adventure and creativity alive, Allison.

for some reason, This song makes me feel really lonely. I don't know why. It just does.
Chris The nightwatcher I think it's supposed to feel that way. Kind of a sad, depressing version of Saria's song while you traverse through a relatively lifeless forest (excluding those weird puppet things and the skull kid).

Yea.. the nostalgia though..
CreepersPasta クリーパー パスタ Yeah. I also get nostalgia from this.
Oreboy64 Then the skull kid's dolls would kill you.
Oreboy64 i know but... do you know what happens to adults when they come here? they turn into guess... stalfoses ! kids are then into skullkids
You are able to do that irl too
just don't get lost
Foolish, you think those puppets would leave you at peace? Xd
I wish I lived in a world that felt as serene as this..
2020 edit: Guys, I get it. The world can be serene, just shut up already. It's a 4 year old comment and it's supposed to be taken literally. The real world is not at all like the legend of zelda and is special in their own ways..
Same here, let's just hope the Twilight doesn't come back
You just need to know where to look.
whats wrong with twilight? did you not hear what Midna said? according to her the twilight was a very peaceful place until zant showed his face around that place
+lillian cullingford there's the dangerous creatures that come out, that's the only bad thing I see
I think that the twilight would be a beautiful place to live, so long as Zant stayed away.
How sad...
Jallex11 what I think happened was that at some point between Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess castle town was abandoned and moved to another location
and a forest grew over what was castle town which explains why the temple of time is in the forest, this move in theory is likely due to the destruction Ganondorf caused in Ocarina of Time.
Jallex11 It just makes me think, the Kokiri have met with a terrible fate, haven't they..
#Jallex11 Thats deep bro :)
LOL
+Jallex11 Except for that skull kids are just child stalfos, which means there is more than one skull kid.

Link: Hey, Skull Kid...

TrueMineForce Twilight princess has that epic feel like when I beat it for the first time and first Zelda game too!
I like sonic better than Zelda but Zelda is awsome.

No game will ever bring us the feels zelda music gives us. Zelda is love Zelda is Life
Sometimes I start up the game just to come here and relax.
Why is this sad and relaxing at the same time?
Because it is
One thing I noticed when revisiting the grove after beating the temple of time is how you can still see the light from skull kid's lanturn and even occasionally encounter those puppet enemies. Just shows that he's still pranking link even after we discovered everything skull kid wanted us to find. Kind of wish we could see him directly again. Same with ook.
I hated Legend of Zelda because I thought it was overrated.

Me my self always loved the water temples and the music for them
I have very large woods in my backyard.

To anyone who is reading this, I would just like to say that this game was what built my childhood. As I am now thirteen, I remember all the times I would watch my father play this game, and when time passed he watched me. This game is nostalgia to some, and nothing to other people, but for me, this got me through some really hard times. Thank you, Twilight Princess. ;-;
This was one of two first games I played so you can imagine the nostalgia
This was the fourth videogame i ever played. I firmly believe it changed my life forever. I am 17 right now, and I can say for certain that this game changed the way I see a lot of things.
Scrapper, you've pulled memories off the shelf. Thank you, 12 years is wild right? Hope you're good.
Whenever it rains, this and 'Midna's Lament' always pop into my head.

Dark.
+EnderShadow Such is the price of eternal life.
Wow, I haven't thought of a plot like this. May I ask for your permission to post this on fanfiction.net????
Of course, the hero of time is in Twilight Princess, so that means he's probably immortal, too. So they could just meet up with each other whenever they want, right?

This song has given me so much inspiration and peace over the years... I'm really happy to be able to listen to it whenever nostalgia kicks in
Of all the music in Zelda this is my favorite, it really makes the forest more mysterious and
makes it turn into a sad and almost scary place.
I love that the puppet sound is absent here, unlike a lot of Sacred Grove extensions.
You smile to yourself and let out a sad giggle then say softly "The Skull kid isnt alone anymore.."
You close your eyes and distantly you hear a giggle "Thank you."
This story is based on a dream I had recently, I hope you enjoyed!
Oh my god this is amazing!

Phlosion This is so relatable :(
Twilight Princess was my first "normal" Zelda game. Link's Awakening and Skyward Sword were both pretty different from the typical Zelda game play.
@@anayansi_iris oh, maybe xd
How? Link's Awakening is literally as classic Zelda gameplay as you can get
Twilight Princess's epicness in the soundtrack will bring you here.
Ive always loved skull kid and related to him being alone and hurt in majoras mask when i was young, it was nice to see him in twilight princess and whenever things would be rough i would turn on my gamecube and come to sacred grove. So beautiful i love the music and the scenery.
I came to the conclusion that everyone that's been deeply impacted by Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess are all depresssed
damn son how did you know
Don’t forget A Link to the Past.
Also links awakening
Much music such relaxation wow.
This is my favorite Zelda track. So calming, mysterious, peaceful, and playful at the same time
An Alltime Wonderful Classic! ❤ I Miss You...
I feel that this is a song you could listen forever to, it's like it brings you a feeling of peace that you don't want to let go of.
weeee the nostalgia in this song♥ only 14 but I played so much zelda...;D it's just part of ma life
ikr
This is one of the best games I played and evertime I hear this it reminds me of my brother who passed away yesterday he was only 16 he loved this game but he's gone now 😭💔
I'm sorry your brother died. I'm sure he's at peace now.
I hope he found peace friend 🙏
A melancholic but also joyful reflection of the lost woods.
Lost woods was the vibe as a kid
Sacred Grove is the vibe as an adult.
Sad stuff.
Wow. This was the same exact feeling I had also. No more cheerful Saria's song (OOT Version). Just a desolate abandoned version. But still soothing.
I like how they put in like, Leaves Rustling in the backround
I play this song every day to listen to it while I'm in class, thanks it's relaxing
And after all this epicness....suddenly comes in "Malo Mart" XDXDXD
Holy cheeze-itz XD
BOW. BOW BOW BOW BOW BOW BOW.
*DA SE SLA? DA SE SLA? DAW WISHU ME INU DA SE SLA?*
{groans} I despise that Malo Mart theme. I always hit mute whenever I need to buy supplies there.
It's 2022 and I'm still listening to this music. I just love Zelda Twilight princess
*Humming along*
Can you see?
Can you see?
All the remnants... of the past...
Can you hear?
Can you hear?
This song... From years apart...
Softly playing throughout the forest...
The memories suddenly come back....
But don't you worry,
The legend will keep you safe
i have never felt this way ever again, this game has such a specific feeling, From the very beginning you realize that there is an end, even if you search for more, you won't find it, there's a start and an end.
This is just such an amazing song, I can feel the energy in it every time I listen to it.
Listening to this makes me really sad for some reason.. It brings back memories of the early 2000s when I was just a child, when times were simple, makes me realize those days are gone & they’ll never return.
The lost woods music makes me happy, but this makes me sad.. :S
Ashley Newman i know it's beautiful
This makes me feel so comfortable
Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess, by far the best video game I ever played....
The only game I actually look forward to replaying! :)
This will forever be the most important and best game I've ever played.
I remember when I was 9 years old and played this game in my brothers gamecube , how much nostalgia!
