This technique also works with the Cobra 650L wood chipper too! 👍 Great tip you guys! Just tried it after being told by two maintenance technicians to unbolt the engine to slacken off the old belts. NO! NO! NO! This is the right way to do it.
I’m not very mechanically inclined, and was a little frustrated that the belt kept twisting the wrong direction when I was trying to get it on. I finally tried going on the other side of the pulley and it slipped on just fine.
I have 14hp 5in power king chipper.I cant find a blade removal video.Im having terrible time .the bolt heads are so shallow I cant get a good bite on them w any 17mm socket. And the fact the drum is rolling makes it even harder. Its brand new.Just did first oil change and blades are definitely ready for reversal. But any socket i try cant grab the low profile bolt heads. Is there a special socket. The tool that came with it says 17mm but fits 20mm.its way to big.Ive tried 6pt 12 pt 17mm sockets.Nothing can grab those low profile bolts.
We don't currently have a video loaded for that but will start working on one. Please contact us at support@qvtools.com or give us a call at 1-800-344-3371 and we will be happy to help.
I have a OPC506. We know how to change the belts, but don't have replacement numbers to buy new ones. Anyone have these numbers and a source to purchase? Preferably ASAP

Use an impact wrench, it will easily loosen the bolts and you don't even need to shim the drum.
What's the belt parts number. I can't seem to find one...42” seems to tight?

@@kento201 we took our belt to O'Reilly's and matched it to a Gates Hi-Power II. B42.
Fits perfectly. Been running like a dream!
Thank you so much!

Unfortunately, we do not have a OPC506 and are not associated with DK2.
