@MoiDawg While I would love to see a QTS-11 in the game, realistically I would expect that the "Rifleman Heavy/Light" might differ on whether the trooper carries the older QBZ-95 or the then brand-new QBZ-03 (first seen in 2009, thus making the approximate timeframe). Also since a marksman kit isn't specifically called out, it could also be that, equipped with the QBU-88.
I just thought there would be a QBZ191....QBZ95 cant provide a customizable function for it does have a picatinny rail. And its original telescope is a trash, only less pla soldiers equip scopes. Cant see the qbz191 in the video game is a pity.
I would be very glad to see some very unique chinese-style infantry weapons in the game in the future. For example, the man-carried .50 cal QJZ-89 HMG, the sniping-grenade-launcher QLU-11, for the HAT kit is the PF-98 120mm rocket launcher, the little cute Shanmao ATV.
I actually wants to some of the more speciallized Shanmao variants. Such as ones with 122mm howitzer, 120mm howitzer-motar and the ridiculous air defense variant with a 6 tube gatling gun and 4 manpad missiles. It's comical yet scary at the same time.
My guess: - Rifleman Heavy: 150 Point Ammo Bag, 2 grenades, (Special Class like Lat or GL) -> Plays like a Buffed rifleman, may substitute traditional LMG class - Rifleman Light: Red dot attachment, Binoculars, 3 Smokes (2 white, 1 red) -> Plays like Insurgent's Raider Class
If this line up is counterpart to US marines in the roadmap, I think its a huge missed opportunity not to include the amphibious light tanks/IFVs. Those older models with 85mm and 105mm can be really interesting in the current vehicle combat dynamic.
The BMP-3 has that exact weapon combo, A 100mm smoothbore for ATGM's or other rounds and a 30mm autocannon as almost a co-ax. I don't know off the top of my head but I would not be surprised if it's actually a licensed variant from based off the Russian design.
Now that the PLA might be coming, i hope we get JGSDF next ! JGSDF vehicles would be the Komatsu LAV as armored car, Type 87 RCV as recon vehicle, Type 16 MCV as armor hunter, Type 96 as APC, Type 89 FV as IFV, Either Type 90 or Type 10 as MBT, UH-60JA as utility and F-2A for air support!
I know the thin polymer or thin metal casing couldn't really stop GPMG or HMG rounds, but I would thinks hanging ATMGs completely exposed outside the IFVs is really an uncommon practice, are these type of vehicle set up usually carrying more rounds inside and waiting to be reattach by crew members AFAP?
as a Chinese i don't think Chinese government (or some citizen) will allow this faction to be call China or PLA. in mainland China PLA was depicted as a force that fight for a noble goal just like the government itself. so any act of disrespect toward the china's military will not be accepted. and naturally this is a video game people will start to make fun out of it . although this practice in Western world will be viewed as just making fun out of a game. but in China every word count, especially those that contradicted with what government said.
@@AlanLin1995 yeah so does the battlefield 4. so legally speaking Chinese officials didn't just ban the game, if you live in China you can still play it in many ways. they just doesn't allow you upload or post anything about the game in any public site.
The 100mm on the Bmp 3 looking thing is going to be used for the atgm for the vehicle. But I wonder if theyll make it so HE can be fired from it as well. Vehicle looks so much fun since I love the bmp 2 .
I think they are definitely going to have HE rounds for the bmp3. The whole package is going to be extremely nasty to fight. Not to mention the wheeled apc on top of that.
it seems like their kit is outdated or present if this is based on the mid 2000's PLA then pretty much they need to change the infantry vehicles considering they were recently unveiled a year ago it would make no sense to have 2021 vehicles and 2007 gear so they need to use older vehicles?
Riffleman light/heavy most likely only describes the model as the light one has almost no "armor" while the heavy one is fully kitted out. Most likely these are just stand in names for the character model and not for any specific kit.
If they really wanted to give China some unique kit, the Rifleman Heavy should use the QTS-11 OICW, which is essentially a typical rifle paired with a single shot bolt action 20mm airburst grenade launcher. The US dumped their own OICW project, but China has produced and deployed tens of thousands of them.
Given their relative rarity it might be a specialist role if it shows up. Though I think the QLU-11or QLZ-87 is more likely, especially as a specialist weapon
Just name it China. We don't care about politics, just more toys we can shoot other people and LARP as the faction. Though we have to learn chinese slurs to get that authentic Squad Multiplayer Voice Chat Experience going. I would love to see ASEAN combined faction utilizing Redfor platform, but NATO equipments/sensors like the PT-91M and SU-30MKM/MKI, and weird AR platforms like Indonesian Pindad SS2 (based on FNC), or Singaporean SAR21. Give us the exotic stuff, no more AR15 variations. And of course, JSDF I wanna see Japan's modification of the weapons into their own design choices. For insurgent type factions, I would love to see American Militia using war surplus machine guns mounted on their Ford Raptor technicals or old Chaffee, and civilian weapons with very good optics and attachments (grips, flashlights, etc) but without the full auto function. We want more toys!
You missed the ''(PH NAME)'' which is essentially for short of ''Place Holder name'' so yes it is not going to be called PANASIA but China instead in the final product ...
Light rifleman will probably be equipped with the Chinese AK variant, without sights, and with less ammo. Heavy will probably get a qbz, with optics, and maybe some kind of AT disposable.
I don’t think any of those guns are being used at least the assualt rifles pretty sure they switched their rifle but that’s squad for ya the Russians should be using a mix of ak74s and ak12s and pretty soon the US army should be using the Sig spear replacing the m4.
@@arturbalakhnin9770 yeah definitely something like that. what would be cool aswell would be to give squad leaders access to the AK-12. Hopefully they do continue to work on them and not let current events hinder that
The BMP 3 looking IFV would kinda be useless if its only gets HE the 100mm has low velocity and high drop to with its 100mm HE round you would need to aim it realy high to hit targets past 1000m and ones you shot your main gun you need to make the decision either keep reloading the main gun or switch to 30mm cancelling the reload on the 100mm
The main gun can also fire an ATGM, it's basically the same gun setup as a BMP-3 I'd also bet that introducing a vehicle like that might mean they're finally going to fix coax. Last year that was touched on as a reason why they didn't use the same solution the PS devs did since it would cause issues with having a 3rd coax
@@shaggnar2014 am aware that the bmp3 cann shoot atgms out of the main cannon And i realy hope the fix the coax shit if the fix it this BMP3(some chinise name i forgot) could be very powerfull being able to shoot atgm 100m he and shoot 30mm plus the standard coax is very deadly if the HE round wont get insane drop like it has in real life if the give it its high drop and low velocity then good luck hitting something past 1000m in that case 30mm would be the best option Simple way to fix this give it a option to set ranging on the gun like in the leopard 2 or just give all Tanks with laser rangefinder the option to Laze a target at then have the game automaticly set the range right would be a step towards more realistic FCS systems to

6:50 China is rolling out a new series of rifles for its infantry, from standard rifle to light machin guns, such as QBZ-191. So they could throw these in to mix with the QBZ-95 series. Personally I'm super excited to finally see another great FPS game that has China in it. As a Chinese myself I look forward to either fight as one, or fight one.
I hope it's a more current China, with the addition of the marine core and the m27 being a relatively new rifle I'm hoping the new rifle for China is added
yeaah, big time!! I'm sympathetic to Taiwan and hate the iliberal government of China, but this is just a game Moreover, there is a lot that can be done regarding political crictics while playing as a china footsoldier lmao
“Pan Asia” 😂 are the devs serious about that name for a military faction? Far eastern Asian nations’ militaries has never been united like NATO nor do they even plan to, especially China would want to be the head of that organization. I wish they’d add PLA though, at least give us a chance to pop some of these clowns (even just in virtual game), seriously they’re some the most unprofessional and disrespectful soldiers in Asia, just unbelievable acting with no honour at all.
Chinese squad structure invovles infantrymen to carry spare ammo for the machine gunner as well as carrying their tripods if it is a heavy MG. Infantryman H might have ammo bag deployment while Infantry L does not.
they also had some servers up on the public play test but the servers where locked and i saw the USMC and the new maps are black coast and pacific proving grounds
It would be cool for them to add a South East Asian faction (countries like Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam etc) as a sort of counterforce to Pan Asia.
With the PLA being famous for not issuing body armor, I’m thinking that light rifleman might have no or very little armor where as the heavy rifleman would have an amount of armor more equivalent to the other factions in the game.
Body armor is treated differently in the PLA. It's more of a specialized equipment as the PLA was poor as shit up until 2010ish. After 2000, it was expected that if you were deployed for combat/frontlines you would get body Armour. It is becoming significantly more commonplace now as even xinjiang units are getting it. They did order 1.4 million sets back in 2017. I would 10000% expect any PLA unit fighting the us marines would have body armour
I'm going to guess another faction is coming around 3.5 - 4.0? These looks like squad assets, and from other leaked images from past factions, they're placed in essentially the same way. I'd personally like to believe that these are in fact a real faction that's going to be added somewhat soon.
Was expecting more of ASEAN, hence the name PAN asia, but it would be alot of western equipment actually with some chinese mixed in which would be weird. Just having China makes sense
I do think it could be china bcs the MEA has one thing uniting them, which is arabic (tho i think theres kurdish too). While pan-asia doesn’t have the luxury of a unified tounge. So yeah most likely could be the PLA.

Also since a marksman kit isn't specifically called out, it could also be that, equipped with the QBU-88.
the QTS-11 were not considered to be mainly used by the PLA it's still in prototype phase
Wish to see QBZ-191
I just thought there would be a QBZ191....QBZ95 cant provide a customizable function for it does have a picatinny rail. And its original telescope is a trash, only less pla soldiers equip scopes. Cant see the qbz191 in the video game is a pity.
just wait for steel division mod it adds the PLA in the future
My guess:
- Rifleman Heavy: 150 Point Ammo Bag, 2 grenades, (Special Class like Lat or GL) -> Plays like a Buffed rifleman, may substitute traditional LMG class
- Rifleman Light: Red dot attachment, Binoculars, 3 Smokes (2 white, 1 red) -> Plays like Insurgent's Raider Class
or just :
Heavy Rifleman : Automatic Rifleman with LMG
Light Rifleman : Rifleman with iron sights or scope
But the BMP also has a dual cannon, 100mm main, 30mm automatic coaxial.
The BMP-3 that is.
If this line up is counterpart to US marines in the roadmap, I think its a huge missed opportunity not to include the amphibious light tanks/IFVs. Those older models with 85mm and 105mm can be really interesting in the current vehicle combat dynamic.
I doubt the basic game architecture can support cross water vehicles
the ZBD series IFV variants are amphibious and the Marines do have the AAV AND LAV
@@mintsamich yeah, but I just really want some light vehicles that have conventional cannons you know, I'm an AMX10RC fan
Really hope this is the real deal...I've been waiting for this faction for a long time!
The ZBD-04A is essentially just a BMP-3. It has a 30mm coaxial and 100mm cannon.
The ZBL-08 is essentially just a BTR-4E with the two rockets on the side.
Perfect, I am already getting the Black Gold map feeling in PR 😍😍
Who's ready for the PLA to be super OP due Chinese investment in the studio
I suppose there's a lot of aussie and canadian investment in the studio then lmao
i mean, you can't be as OP as the aussie xD
Wait, are the Chinese really investing in it? (serious question)
^
@8:25 bmp3 turret maybe? 100mm main with a coaxial 30mm. the 100mm should be a gun launcher bale to shoot stuff and launch atgms.
MoiDawg, I am patiently waiting for the eye in the sky video. Great content and thank you so much!!!!
But this game is not officially published in China.
I don't think that's the case
Most likely these are just stand in names for the character model and not for any specific kit.
we need not only China in Squad, but also Germany, France, Turkey, Israel, Iran.
Rifleman heavy can have an extra ammo bag, or more mags, but slower. And rifleman light can be more mobile. Only a speculation though
The IFV is like the Bmp 3. The canon is low pressure, so only HE and ATGMs maybe
I think rifleman heavy/light are armoured model changes they have different levels of protection
for the Rifelman light / heavy I could imagine that the heavy has the smal QBZ but brings more ammo in his ammo bag... idk
The chinese IFV with the 100mm cannon probably wont be firing any AP munitions except for maybe heat. Its main purpose will be firing atgm's.
picture at 5:07 belongs to QCW05 ,not QBZ95B
You missed the ''(PH NAME)'' which is essentially for short of ''Place Holder name'' so yes it is not going to be called PANASIA but China instead in the final product ...
I hope we get some interesting vehicles and not just reskins
Light rifleman will probably be equipped with the Chinese AK variant, without sights, and with less ammo. Heavy will probably get a qbz, with optics, and maybe some kind of AT disposable.
The Chinese haven't been using their AK derivatives for quite a while, I'm pretty sure
I don’t think any of those guns are being used at least the assualt rifles pretty sure they switched their rifle but that’s squad for ya the Russians should be using a mix of ak74s and ak12s and pretty soon the US army should be using the Sig spear replacing the m4.
I think rifle for SL kit and rifleman might have the QBZ03 rifle instea, and QBZ95B maybe is for crewman and heli pilot.
IT IS A bmp BUT A bmp3 kopy the russian bmp3 can actually fire atgms out of the 100mm barrel
i do wish squad would add so more modern russian vehicles like the BMP 3 or BMD 4
@@spidersaremean8917 I would like to see the bmp2M with 4 Kornets loaded and can be shoot without reloading.
@@arturbalakhnin9770 yeah definitely something like that. what would be cool aswell would be to give squad leaders access to the AK-12. I hope squad does do a revamp of some of the current factions especially russia because the russian faction isn't exactly very accurate in terms of the gear they use and how the camo looks. Hopefully they do continue to work on them and not let current events hinder that
Is rifleman light the unarmed kit maybe?
Now we need JSDF too
i think rifleman light and rifleman heavy is just LAT and HAT because we dont any kit in that lineup that says LAT or HAT
ATGM's out of the main tube.
The main gun can also fire an ATGM, it's basically the same gun setup as a BMP-3
I'd also bet that introducing a vehicle like that might mean they're finally going to fix coax. Last year that was touched on as a reason why they didn't use the same solution the PS devs did since it would cause issues with having a 3rd coax
@@shaggnar2014 am aware that the bmp3 cann shoot atgms out of the main cannon
And i realy hope the fix the coax shit if the fix it this BMP3(some chinise name i forgot) could be very powerfull being able to shoot atgm 100m he and shoot 30mm plus the standard coax is very deadly if the HE round wont get insane drop like it has in real life if the give it its high drop and low velocity then good luck hitting something past 1000m in that case 30mm would be the best option
Simple way to fix this give it a option to set ranging on the gun like in the leopard 2 or just give all Tanks with laser rangefinder the option to Laze a target at then have the game automaticly set the range right would be a step towards more realistic FCS systems to
@@shaggnar2014 AFAIK, however, the Chinese don't actually commonly issue GLATGMs for it. They don't have an indigenous 100mm GLATGM, and the very few they do have are Russian-bought.
i can think of one more rifle or carbine that they can use i say that bc i dont know if its actually a carbine or a rifle but its the qbz 191. also i dont know if its in service with them yet or if its still being tested before hand so take what i just said lightly
There's a possibility sls or riflemen could get China's newer 6.8mm rifle that's more m4-styled.
I wonder if they include the weakspot in ERA behind the smoke launchers of the mbt
China does not use the QBZ-95 it's the QBZ-191 they use now with a total of 5 mags based off photos
Not sure why it's called Pan Asia when every unit and camouflage is clearly Chinese.
yo you forget about the other service rifle in use in China. the QBZ-03. it`s been widely used in the army till now. Maybe light rifleman would be using the 03 rifle.
Rifleman light and rifleman heavy are the LAT and HAT kits maybe?
squad is really popular in china so it makes sense that they add the faction. if they just add the faction faithfully i cant see the ccp getting mad about it
With what we have so far, calling it china is acceptable as that is what it is.If we get new uniforms or vehicles then we can potentially consider it to be PanAsia
If they keep Pan Asia they can make themselves the canon prequel to Battlefield 2142 and its Pan Asia coalition
I hope they'll get some Type 56 also. btw the BMP-3 also has the double canon (with the default turret).
If their gonna add PLA, they might as well add the JSDF, and while they are at it just add mechs?
Mechs?
I hope it's a more current China, with the addition of the marine core and the m27 being a relatively new rifle I'm hoping the new rifle for China is added
Squad's implementation is roughly 2015ish USMC. The M27 was fully adopted in 2011 iirc. They were certainly quite common when I was in from 14 to 18.
I dont really care what its called, as long as its Redfor and has unique stuff. And it seems to check both those boxes so want it lol
Yessssir
I'd rather they work on the engine, add shell pen and destruction to buildings trees etc.
Destruction should not happen imo. Would ruin the game. Only acceptable destruction would probably be for like smaller objects like fences and shit
As a Taiwanese, this’d be really funny if it got added, imagine screaming long live Winnie the Pooh lmao
yeaah, big time!!
I'm sympathetic to Taiwan and hate the iliberal government of China, but this is just a game
Moreover, there is a lot that can be done regarding political crictics while playing as a china footsoldier lmao
@@jan_07 Thought you didn't want to buy the game? Also why are you even on this channel if you don't even own squad? 🤡
nmsl :)
Chinese squad structure invovles infantrymen to carry spare ammo for the machine gunner as well as carrying their tripods if it is a heavy MG. Infantryman H might have ammo bag deployment while Infantry L does not.
Anyone got a solution for the crashing the game always crashes when I'm 10 -15 minutes into the match
Maybe they're not just releasing a single faction but multiple?
Batchka U turret is fucking awesome. If it was Remote, blowout, and armored that’d be better. Add slim RWS and APS too
the BMP-3 also has 2 guns.
they also had some servers up on the public play test but the servers where locked and i saw the USMC and the new maps are black coast and pacific proving grounds
You saw nothing...
@@RaumdeuterYT lol
Of course it’s China, right? It was always going to be China I thought?
It is the PLA
I'm hoping this isn't just a troll posting Arma 3 mod screens. but I am really happy to see this faction and I hope we get it in 2022.
Makes sense, we already have the USMC and a Pacific-island style map. Would only make it natural for a Chinese style faction to show up
just subbed, btw the Heavy RM is a Assistant Gunner Role, and or Comms.
It would be cool for them to add a South East Asian faction (countries like Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam etc) as a sort of counterforce to Pan Asia.
China please. I think it would be cool to have international squad fights with each region having its own faction.
@@hwong1776 squad is based in 2015 era, but hopefully panasia does have body armor
plot twist, moidawg is the user who uploaded the leak
its only fitting to have a china faction in the game
ZBD04 is basically a BMD4
Those chinese soldiers get decked out in armor, but don't even get hearing protection. Enjoy going deaf once the pew pew on that QBZ gets going.
Theres a post out showing weapons and the fact we’re getting the ZBD-04A means Russia may finally get bmp-3 aswell
I do think it could be china bcs the MEA has one thing uniting them, which is arabic (tho i think theres kurdish too). While pan-asia doesn’t have the luxury of a unified tounge. So yeah most likely could be the PLA.
the MEA in Squad is primarily based on Iran, which is not an Arabic speaking country. They speak Farsi.
the image you show about short type95 is actually not true it is a submachinegun I believe called type05, but there is carbin version of type 95 though. Love your video keep up!
