1:21 I love seeing this image crop up because it's a point of pride for my high school. The tuba wizard was created back when we still marched concert tubas with removable, forward-facing bells. The kid in the picture is named Henry, I believe. Common enough name, you shouldn't be able to track him down. I wasn't there at the time but the story has been passed down through the generations. I first found out about it because I saw the image and recognized, very clearly, a corner of our band room. I asked one of the seniors about it and they said, "oh yeah, we were really surprised that image blew up" and I realized I was standing in a piece of internet history.
Even tho I know this probably won’t be seen. I really like the idea of this and I hope that all the bosses aren’t tubas too. If it isn’t I hope my idea is seen or used. It is a chimera or possibly a natural creature in the lands frozen of the Organ theme kingdom. Another question you might ask, “What the head looks like?” and the answer is like a leaches and the teeth are look like the caps seen in cartoons on pipe organs.
I binge watched those tuba and brass instrument jrpg battle videos a couple years ago. Those where just pure internet joy. I'm so so so excited someone has the passion to take such a cute and fun and genuinely niche and cool and unexpected idea that any reasonable, public opinion fearing person would immediately turn the idea away, is finally being made a reality!!! You inspired me to write down a little script of a story, I know you probably won’t use it, but I hope it gives you some ideas if you plan to add any form of a story. There was once a land made of beautiful music called Orchestralis. These sounds were played by musical beings known as instrians. They all lived happily together on a small island, hovering just above a dark, alien land. Each year, all types of instrians would gather from all over the island to play a harmonious song to the focus crystal. This crystal was responsible for keeping everyone safe in the air. However, one year, they all gathered only to find that the focus crystal was stolen! This drove everyone into a panic, just when they started pointing the blame at each other, the land began to shift and turn as they soon realized the island had now fallen into the dark expanse of the land below. This caused all of the instrians to segregate into four kingdoms; string, wind, brass, and percussion. These kingdoms have been at war for over a hundred years, still blaming the others for the thievery of peaceful older times. While some seek vengeance, others seek answers. What really happened? What secrets await us in this dark land? How can we learn from the past, instead of trying to reclaim it? Join in on the adventure to Orcestralis! I have tons of other ideas about game-play too; classes, characters, battle system, and so on. However I realize I’m not exactly a programmer, nor making this game sooo…. Best of luck man! Let us know when it’s out! :3
Hey, I just saw your story and I happen to be an extremely new and inexperienced programmer with no idea what they’re doing yet. Anyways if you don’t mind writing down your ideas I’d love to see what I can do as far as making it a reality. Thanks for listening!
@@gondayayonke7472 Didn’t expect a response on this so thanks I guess! As far as the main battle system, I was thinking, “Well this is an rpg right? Well, let's bring in a turnstyle rpg battle system.” You can have up to 3 characters on the field at a time vs. whatever you are fighting dictated by difficulty level. Anyways each character can have only one move per turn and their options boil down to 4 categories; song, serenade, item, crescendo. Each character has a certain number of action points that would fit both their class and level. Some classes regenerate action points naturally, while others, you have to spec into that via their skill trees. More on classes and skill trees in a bit. Song is basically a “melee” attack that doesn’t cost any action points, and lets you do damage to the enemy. Serenade in this case would be another term for “magic” where you can spend action points to produce certain effects. When casting either a Song or Serenade, a musical sheet would appear and you must hit the notes in time in order to get the full effect (for extra challenge make a leitmotif for each action and each note you hit or miss would correspond to the note in the song). Items are kinda self explanatory. They are, well, ITEMS that you find or buy in the open world that you can take with you into battle. Here’s the fun one, crescendo. Over the course of the battle, each successful hit will earn the character some motif. Once enough motif has been built up, they will have reached “peak performance”. While in this state, they will have increased resistance to all incoming damage of every type and increased outgoing damage, however not too much of a significant amount. Once at peak performance, and the right combination of characters are aligned, the player can expend their states to perform a crescendo. This is a super powerful song that has verried effects, based on the characters used, and their levels. Be warned though, all characters involved will also have their turns expended afterwards. Now as far as classes, I was thinking of boiling it down into the basic trio; tank, ranged, support. Tank loves taking on damage and protecting his teammates. Ranged does a lot of damage, just from far away because he can’t exactly take what he’s dishing out. Support keeps the team afloat with healing and buffing effects. Skill trees. They will be different for each character of course, but they will mainly allow them to choose what type of their class they want to lean into. I think it will be best if I give some examples. Maestro (the player can change the name, but this is the implied name) Class: ??? His/her skill tree branches out the most as it allows them to dip their toes into any class they want. Vivian (violin) Class: Ranged Status or damage Clariese (clarinet) Class: Ranged Damage or support Connie (Cornet) Class: Support Heals or buffs Big Dave (Bass Drum) Class: Tank Focus damage onto him, or specialize into splash damage melee attacks. You'll unlock new attacks through leveling up and picking the next step in your preferred skill tree. Note; you aren't locked into either tree, you can do one, the other, or balance it out, although it's preferred to side with just one as there are certain skills locked behind picking certain ones. When you get a new song/serenade, we'll call it, "New sheet music acquired!". Of course there are some sheet music you can find out in the world, guarded by bosses, or through quests. As a secret boss I would add in “The old one” a 1:1 recreation of the very first tuba boss. After defeating all of the other secret bosses. You will have to travel outside of bounds in a specific pattern, enter the konami code and he will appear. “Who am I? I am the one who started it all… I was the beginning. I will be the END!!!”. When he is defeated he falls to his knees and says, “So I’ve been defeated, yet my legacy lives on.”, His body begins to rust up, “Wish I had something to say here but I don’t, sorry to disappoint.”. He then entirely turns to rust, and is then blown away by the wind. You gain 1xp and a Cool hoodie which has the best stats in the game. Description: Cool hoodie, should probably wash it though. As far as equippable stuff goes, you have; Sheet stand (weapon), Gear (cloths), and 2 artifact slots (additional modifiers). At first I had this idea that you could have the player pick their race and that would determine if they would end up starting at either the String, Wind, Brass, or Percussion kingdoms, and they would meet the same characters, just in a different order, and circumstance. This would allow the player to have their own unique story and character. However, I realize that would mean basically making at least 4 entirely different games. So I figured, why not have them start out at one determined point/kingdom, then maybe have a branching story-line from a certain point. I’m not sure about this. If you weren’t able to tell, I straight up stole almost all of the game mechanics from Dragon Quest 11 with little tweaks here and there. That’s what almost all games are… right? Anyways, if you made it this far, thank you for listening to my ted talk.
Well I have no idea what I’m doing, but I’ll begin working on it after getting a friend of mine to sketch out some basics for skill trees, stat manuals, and looking up copious amounts of game making guides. I probably won’t have any updates on progress for a long period of time but once I have a semi-playable test for it I’ll send it to you. Thanks for putting your ideas into words for me, I’m not all that great at making a good story so with these ideas already out here hopefully this game will be an enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
Honestly, including units that are percussion based, drums, mallets, etc. That are like supportive units or units thst fight from further away would be a banger
Being one of the two people coming in, not from that forum. I thank you for finally shedding light on some of the most confusing TH-cam recommended video's I've ever seen
Your dream in the making is also me and like 50 gagdillion other people's dreams, thank you for starting and hopefully finishing this. Also PLEASE add in the Tuba Angel at some point (from Nocturnal's music)
The algorithm has blessed me. Praise the Omnissiah. You started with a dev log, which is great. All eyes are on you (no pressure) and you have an accountability check in place. This is a good first step. Since this is a pixel game I would consider talking to PewDiePie and getting his attention to this project (I figure that's one of his favorite styled video games). Maybe he can provide some sort of resources for you to enhance the production. Obviously mention creative control, but I think for him that's implicit. Keep it up - we're willing and waiting to play. May Orchestralis be united once more!
That sounds cool as hell the little trumpet boy is so cute (make a violinist) maybe an urgent boss can be a soloist and you can have supportstremnts which is different little buffs you can equip that play a certain toon and give you different effects depending of what instrument it is
I love this so much, I’ve been working on a dnd campaign or one shot based off the tuba boss themes for a while and this really makes me wanna finish it
I loved the tuba meme a lot. I didn't engage in the community much, but it was always a turn up when I saw one of the images. I wish for you to finish your DREAM GAME, it sounds like a great project
The lore! I can already imagine, it will be amazing! I have so many ideas that will never happen because I'm not working on the game! but it's gonna be great anyways!
MAAAAN, thats awesome, i was really hoping someone would make this game back when i found out about the boss themes, and i had no idea there was a community for it. Good luck on the game, cant wait to play it someday :D
oh, you beat me to it. A few years ago I saw a comment about a guy wondering about someone making a game based off the meme and I said I'd do it when I learn how to make games, I still have no idea how to make a game since middle school coding and computer classes aren't getting into that stuff. Still cool to see someone did it.
Omg. I was thinking of doing the same exact thing after listening to the tuba gunner theme. I’m glad to see someone else doing it because I would never be able too.
I've actually never been in the TWC discord server but I have been in another server primarily for one game based off the meme called Orchestra: The Brass Fates. At this point the people in the server aren't there for the game and instead are just there for fun. The game has kind of turned into a bonus thing that will probably come out eventually since I know they are still working on it, but it's pretty fun for the few active members.
amazing, one of the tuba meme game projects finally went through! after suffering through one community who tried to organize one, im glad this one's actually goin nicely. ill be looking forward to this!
When you do sound design you can have it where the music track slowly changes to your teams instruments as you slowly win the battle so instead of only consisting of the sound tubas at first other instruments can be heard if you are wining the fight
If you’re going to put percussion in the game I have a few suggestions. an army of drums being a called a drum line would be cool. Drumstick daggers, cymbal shields, hi-hat hats. One of the memes is a guy with a cymbal face wearing a gong and has cymbal hands. He can be the cymbal sage. As a band student I really love this concept for a game. I hope you fulfill your dream and complete this game.
Amazing I'm glad you started it, I had this idea for months. If there is something I can help with, I would gladly help, if not then good luck in this journey 🔥
I just feel like there should be a viola thing on the lore of tuba warriors, like a guy who got kicked out of strings land and stayed at a desolated place practicing his technique, and now just living a quiet life until the string warrior come to kill him or some stuff, lust letting the idea here this would make me really happy if this happens.

@@Total_DuDe sheesh that’s kinda insane
Well I have no idea what I’m doing, but I’ll begin working on it after getting a friend of mine to sketch out some basics for skill trees, stat manuals, and looking up copious amounts of game making guides. I probably won’t have any updates on progress for a long period of time but once I have a semi-playable test for it I’ll send it to you. Thanks for putting your ideas into words for me, I’m not all that great at making a good story so with these ideas already out here hopefully this game will be an enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
@@gondayayonke7472 Best of luck man, seriously. Glad I was able to contribute in some way. Look forward to your project!
I, in fact, did read the description because I liked the video and am going to press both buttons mentioned.
i had no idea there was a community for the tuba bosses, but now that i do i feel a little more whole
YEEEES I was waiting for someone to follow through with this concept!
I actually admire your pixel art and am stuck with my own characters running animation(I´m too lazy).
I just descoverd this community and I love it :3
Used to be in the TWC, left because of a great purge of servers, glad to see its still going strong! the ideas in that community were GOLDEN.
Should totally check it again and support me as the greatest staff member of all time
I personaly am a fan of the idea of different lands made of different instrument people. one land for air instruments, one for strings, etc.
its so nice to see so many people not from the tuba warriors community seeing this. I might have to hop back on the server some day.
Lmao the TWC is getting flooded because of me, also it's good to see you back milo
Planning to pay it a visit on my birthday 18th, it seems there is a lot of new people there
Honestly, including units that are percussion based, drums, mallets, etc.
Damn bro the algorithm did you well, good luck we’re all counting on you to do what everyone else has not!
Haha! I cannot wait to join the Brass instruments as a definitely not Cone Spy!
That sounds cool as hell the little trumpet boy is so cute (make a violinist) maybe an urgent boss can be a soloist and you can have supportstremnts which is different little buffs you can equip that play a certain toon and give you different effects depending of what instrument it is
this was in my recommended and I'm glad this website is learning what i like after years of recommending anything else.
Idea for the healthbar: make it a trombone where everytime you get hit the handle thing shortens and when you get more life it goes out more.
This has me bout to BUST. I have been looking for this kind of a thing ever since I saw the tuba archmage!
We have a discord server with a lot more tuba content and several projects, check description
Good luck to this
Can’t wait to see the final results
The algorithm has re-blessed the video. Good luck with the project.
The fuck is going on with my recommended? Well, I am glad this is here, definitely subscribed and excited to see more.
I love this so much, I’ve been working on a dnd campaign or one shot based off the tuba boss themes for a while and this really makes me wanna finish it
This is hilarious. Whenever I see those instrument memes I always wish there was an actual game. Now there is.
I loved the tuba meme a lot. I didn't engage in the community much, but it was always a turn up when I saw one of the images. I wish for you to finish your DREAM GAME, it sounds like a great project
I look forward to watching your career with great interest
Loved the meme since it came out. I hope your game comes out great 👍
"Finagaling with nodes" my favourite leisure activity.
NO WAY IVE SEEN A RANDOM PLAYLIST OF STRANGE INSTRUMENT PEOPLE SOMEWHERE AND LISTENED TO IT RELIGIOUSLY ID LOVE TO PLAY THAT CONGRATSSS
The lore! I can already imagine, it will be amazing! I have so many ideas that will never happen because I'm not working on the game! but it's gonna be great anyways!
I had dreams about this. But because I am a string instrument it was mostly just generally having strings in the same world.
I don't know why this got reccomended to me, or why now. But I've never been so invested so quickly.
Still cool to see someone did it.
holy floppy disk..
YOU CHAD. YOU DID WHAT NONE OTHER WOULD ONLY DREAM OF TO DO.
TYSM.
I'll be sure to look out for the release of this.
The game looks like its something right down my alley.
Please add the Bass Clarinet and Soprano Saxophone. They're basically clarinets and saxophones going through an identity crisis.
the algorithm is blessing me with this absolute godsend of a video, and boy am I thankful.
OH YEAAAHH I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS, thanks :D
We've been waiting for something like this to pop up in my recommendations we'll be waiting for you. Don't disappoint.
Yessss. We tried to do this many months ago, but it never developed. You are the chosen one
Omg. I was thinking of doing the same exact thing after listening to the tuba gunner theme. I’m glad to see someone else doing it because I would never be able too.
I SUBSCRIBE AND I BETTER SEE THE RESULTS OF THIS MASTERPIECE!!!!!
Other than that I wish you good luck on your journey!
Fine you have gained my attention I shall subscribe and watch your career with great interest
2:08 Medley of Fates! Look Ma we made it!
Now actually make it 🔫 👁👁
uffff that is a big developing scope, is not easy pal, I wish you success, I would like to see something like that come true
amazing, one of the tuba meme game projects finally went through!
after suffering through one community who tried to organize one, im glad this one's actually goin nicely.
ill be looking forward to this!
When you do sound design you can have it where the music track slowly changes to your teams instruments as you slowly win the battle so instead of only consisting of the sound tubas at first other instruments can be heard if you are wining the fight
holy shit finally
it's about time for TUBA GAME
If you’re going to put percussion in the game I have a few suggestions. an army of drums being a called a drum line would be cool. Drumstick daggers, cymbal shields, hi-hat hats. One of the memes is a guy with a cymbal face wearing a gong and has cymbal hands. He can be the cymbal sage.
As a band student I really love this concept for a game. I hope you fulfill your dream and complete this game.
all those poor tuba puns that I have made are finally getting into fruition, good luck on making this game homeboy!
DUDE I MADE A TEXT BASED GAME BASED ON THIS AGES AGO YOURE TAKING MY DREAM WHERE I COULDNT I LOVE IT
Looking forward to seeing how this develops
Don’t forget Tarantula Wizard as a secret out-of-place boss. He was the original, after all.
AND the demonic little grey Kitty
There's so many people writing all kinds of mechanics and lore
i remember this meme I literally suggested someone make it a game. My prayers have been answered! Thank you!!!
