What if VEHICLES Were MECH ARMORS?! (Stories & Speedpaint)

- For the last month a bunch of my subscribers have been designing their own sci-fi or post-apocalyptic vehicles to submit to this month’s PopCross Community redraw. They’ve also been submitting pilots or drivers along with those vehicles. In today’s episode, I’m taking 5 of the submissions and am redrawing them into Mech Armors, created by Good Ol’ Benny Sharp.
Telling the story of these mechs and how he made them is Benny Sharp himself and he is telling the stories to Vasilia Kuznet, who narrates my Fantasy Armor episodes, and Dr. Champagne McGreggor who narrates my dinosaur episodes.
Really enjoyed drawing these mech armors in my style from the vehicles submitted and attempting to pull off three different voices in one video :P

I don't have something specific in mind for the pinned comment today so I'll just drop a fun fact: Vasilia was supposed to show up in Sharp v Champagne, like how Wonder Woman shows up in BvS, but the logic for how she got there was so ridiculous that I had to cut it 😝 Also didn't want to take away from Sharp and Champagne's first meeting and starting their relationship

More like werejaguar. On Vasilia anyway. She mentioned briefly. Didn't get away from death battle when 5 years old that easily. So, like layla the red and distant ancestor... she's a were-person now. Specifically jaguar in her case, not werewolf.
I think in the video she mentioned something about a werejaguar. Probably related to that.

I just love how these characters bounce off each other. It's especially impressive considering they're all being played by the same guy.

Over 180 likes for the Creation Trio! Maybe a nickname with the term “Mix and Match” in it would be better. I think there should be a mech suit video that’s a little reflecting. It’s a villain mech suit video where Benny talks about his more unsavory clients to the Sharp Gang.

I remember watching a lot of movie recaps a month ago. The one that stuck to me most was called Swan Song. In sci-fi, a concept that could be used to improve living but in the story it is always weaponized. In this movie that isn’t the case. The company has no ulterior motives and actually does the job. The main conflict is a person’s opinion of if this is the right path to go down.

Me and my friends discussed the idea without knowing the movie at all somewhat recently, although in our case the clone would be empty till the consciousness would be tranfsered to it, using it as a way to prolong life (yes, we are aware that the rich WILL abuse this...)
i twisted it around and also suggested that people with multiple personalities could maybe also transfer one of their personalities into a new body, something i wish i could do with one of my own personalities...
You should totally do nintendo charcters as mech armors. I would love to see fox, spaltoon, and ness. Thanks for always making me smile at your amazing work :)

Would love to see this inverted with Champagne (begrudgingly) telling Benny about a time his bosses made him engineer a group of dinosaurs based on fictional mech suits/robots, maybe in the vein of Gear Rex from MGS Peace Walker
Really liked the banter between the trio for this episode. Also wasn't expecting Champagne to like paninis so much.
I'll suggest Video Game characters as Dragons again, but I'll also suggest something like turning Monsters into Marvel Heroes/Villains.
I have an idea for a series, you could draw locations, like Benny's shop or the cafe/bar from your game genres as people episode

In all seriousness, the dialogue and designs in this episode were really good. I like how Benny is just breaking the fourth wall so casually.

Ah, I see the foreshadowing Christian. Vesillia saw the X-23 lady when she made her the terrorclaw armor and asked if she was a vampire because of her fangs, *in an attempt to cover up her own vampiric nature because of her own fangs. I see you Vesillia!*
Also, I'm trying to decide for the redraw wether I'm gonna do Hulk as a Warcraft character or Iron Man as a Dragon Ball character....
Good spot, writing that part, the Adamantium armor, is when I first decided something supernatural was gonna be up with Vasilia 😁

For the Hulk idea I have a concept where he was a Dalaran mage who was experimenting with fel magic, hoping to use it to replicate the physical strength possessed by an incredible paladin from ancient Azeroth (that universes version of Captain America) but the experimentation mutated him into a demonic, orcish monster.
For the Iron Man idea I had an idea where he runs a competitor company to Capsule Corp, and his arc reactor serves to artificially amplify his own internal Ki so, amplified though a suit, he can throw hands with Goku and stuff (even though in comics not only does he have armors that are on par with Goku but ones that would absolutely ragdoll him.) Maybe I can draw him in his usual suit but parts of a new suit are coming onto him like the Hulkbuster but it's, like, a Broly Buster or a Beerus Buster or something
These three need there own sitcom 📺 This video was everything i hoped it would be.
Werejaguar eh? That might explain the fangs. My favorite was the penguin cryo armor 🐧❄ Its always funny when one character can break the 4th wall leaving the others confused.

Speaking of transformers, there hasn’t been a transformers themed episode in 8 months. Not saying we need any time soon given how you already have the next few videos planned out, but a transformer video sometime in the future would be a nice thing to see brought back!

I have a theory on why Benny can break the 4.wall: Our univers exists within the PopCross multiverse and Benny discovert it while of edventurin in the multiverse and stumbled across this youtube channel, learning he has an audience.

I was a bit disappointed, as the drawing I submitted was one of my favorite designs. However, the drawings that were chosen looked great and these “banter” episodes are super hilarious! 😂👍

A community redraw featuring Benny Sharp, Vasillia Kuznet, and Dr. Champagne McGregor sounds like a recipe for a great time. But not as good as the submissions everyone sent in. The members of the popcross community are incredibly talented people.

Month six of saying: Do a new Venomized Ben Ten maybe? One with stories this time and also making venom as a new Skurd that can Venomize Ben's aliens? You could also draw Ben with VenomSkurd. Also with maybe Ben or another character (preferably a Galvin like Drib and Reeba or Azmeth) narrating it, maybe it could be them explaining how Ben got the symbiote (and I recommend drawing Ben as how old he would be today {a 25 year old, preferably 5yl Ben}). Also you could try doing a Venom transformation (alright I know that makes Venom op but he's already op anyway but it's your choice on whether it's a new Skurd or transformation or both

Love this armors, the penguin suit is adorable, the horse steampunk suit looks nice, but the other three have to be my favorites; Well, here i go again, sorry but i really want to see any of these ideas in a video: mythological creatures as either mech suits or transformers

What if you drew Suicide Squad members with Cuphead Designs:
Deadshot having a bullet as a head
Captain Boomerang being a Kangaroo or Koala
Harley Quinn being a glassware with a crack (since she's a crackhead)
etc.

Boy, Benny sure does get around. And now you've got me intrigued on what other stuff his street surgeon partner Cheslea has been up to. Hopefully we can get to see her in a Multiverse Tales episode at some point down the line. Maybe when you introduce The Kid into the story. Also, I loved the round of vehicles that submitted that got turned into Mech Armors (my favorite would probably have to be a three-way tie between Harry Cope-Prior, RealRockySolid, and Alulul774). Would definitely love to see more of Benny's work.
And speaking of Benny, now that you've mentioned his street surgeon partner, perhaps he could mention her a little more when talking about two other JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Stands from Vento Aureo/Golden Wind - Oasis and/or White Album. At first, I wasn't sure if those two could be turned into Mechs (if you've seen them yet, you'll understand what I mean), but perhaps they could be worked into it as well with the help of Ms. Chelsea McKellen. Truthfully, I just wanna roll with Stands from that series from that particular part (now all being Spice Girl, Oasis and/or White Album). If I'm not mistaken, JoJo did win the poll but even if it didn't, I'd still love to see some Stands turned into Mech Armors.
But aside from that, thank you for another awesome video, and I look forward to the next one (however weird it may be).

1. Kinda wish we got an explanation on how her stomach is protected.

4. Benny’s dimension gets more development as we learn of a surgeon

The last mech reminds me of a cross between grapple and bumblebee. Also, the chemistry between these three is super funny, you should do more with multiple narrators.

You know how DRACULA UNTOLD vampires can turn into a swarm of bats?
Well imagine a similar type of supernatural monster can turn into a swarm of fluffy white moths.
Also when these supernatural moth people bite humans,it makes those humans grow giant cocoons for metamorphosis into the same species.

Benny, Vasillia and Champagne are by far my fave group, ever since we first met Champagne I've gotten a new appreciation for Dinos :)

Having Benny over-explain mech creating while Champagne keeps having to correct Dinosaur names or details and get more and more tired or grumpy as they go, like Benny only knows 3 Dinosaurs off the top of his head and Champagne due to his work knows a lot more about them than most :D

10000000% yes. I haven't decided yet if I want them to just casually meet for the first time or their first time meeting be in a big epic crossover, but either way it will happen and they will work along side each other on multiple occasions 😁

Damn, Christian, youre script writing and voicework rivals your artwork. I was laughing like crazy! Gloriously done! And what a fun prompt! Keep up the good work and keep smiling!
I loved this so much. The like button cannot do it near enough credit. The art, as always, is gorgeous. The interaction though, beautiful. Watching Benny trying to mentally take notes for later potential romancing with Champagne, Visilia casually charming Champagne into stammering confusion, Champagne slowly getting more and more into Benny's stories and hopefully getting a bit softer toward Benny, and the ever unfolding story of the mysterious gopher...well I spent enough time laughing That I had to rewind quite a bit to hear what I'd drowned out. I thought Benny and Champagne were my favorite interaction, but this has topped it. At least until Benny cracks through and gets Champagne to let him in on a more personal level.
I would also love to see Benny bring Champagne along to Vasilia's workshop so she can do some storytelling.
I'll be honest, I was a little iffy about having the three narrators at the start. But I ended up loving the dynamic so between them so much!

Community Redraw, so no Yugioh related request today..... but I just know this will be good... I think having multiple characters show up and have the presenter explain it to the other character instead of just saying it to us/open air was a good idea... and the fact that you can mix in your design notes into the conversation is also a pretty nice thing. :)
This video was incredible awesome! Thank you to all members of The PopCross Studios Community, who sent in their awesome artwork. It was fantastic to see all the different submissions and the ones that Christian did for the redraw were simply incredible. The poses of the mech armor designs were nicely done and the color schemes beautiful.
I have to say that the lore was brilliantly written and very entertaining thanks to the three narrators. I also enjoyed the explanation of each armor, as well as the connection to the other videos.
Anyways, thanks again to all fellow Popcross Community Members and also thank you Christian for creating this video. In addition, I would like to thank Christian for being so positive and giving positive vibes. Also please stay safe and keep up the awesome work. You are a wonderful person and talented artist.

Wow, I know it's a great video when not even 3 minutes in I'm absolutely wheezing with laughter. These 3 sooooo go together, like it can't be anymore perfect!!! :D
(And the fact this basically confirmed 3 character headcannons I had: Champagne's 'romantic' interest, the fact that Vasilia doesn't know what McDonald's is (don't ask) and that I SO called Vasilia being somehow nonhuman, so hard that I kinda-sorta pre-emptively sketched up a thing based on the idea aha :v )
A. Sharp x Champagne returns.
B. Freddy mechs as robots part 2 would be amazing
C. Characters from Miraculous Ladybug Venomized would be amazing as well
D. This trio is definitely chaotic in a way that works
E. Dr. McGreggor, just be lucky he likes you. Around 90% or so of the fandom would date Benny if they could.

This was a really fun story but I really want horror icons as dragons to come back I think it’s a fun series that needs more attention, and here is my idea for that….
Spencis Charnas Origin
After studying the Honey-Hook Wyvern, I end up seeing a couple of knights from the Las Angels Guard working on a quest about the death of a women who has connections to a specific person they were looking for which has a connection to these dragons I was studying. So I was lead to this carnival of carnage we’ll call it which had some of the dragons I talked about already like the Fanged Jester, the Scorched Nightmare, The October Slow Stalker, and the 4 other dragons that I mentioned already. It made me remember the times I went to the kingdom where Willis Aften used his so called dragons as attractions which is now a different kingdom entirely at this point and the kingdom has been destroyed by the time I’m telling you about him.
But I also saw and interview the owner of this place and his name was Spencis Charnas. He was wearing a suit that resembled half of a Scorched Nightmare and a Crystal Lake Camp Stalker with half of his face (well 25% of his face) covered with the fake skull of one of these dragons. But he also was holding a cane with a skull on top of the handle and wore (just for show) a bladed glove which represented the right hand of a scorched nightmare. He told me that he was really fascinated about these dragons sense he was little when he encountered the same exact October Slow Stalker that I studied that was caged here, which he said inspired someone to kill his sister, her friends, and even his parents which he ended up killing him in self defense but also he was a kid at the time and I don’t know if a kid could kill a full grown adult. Then he told me other things about him like he is the leader of a traveling folk story group that tells tales of these dragons.
But when he said that I did see when studying the Crystal Lake Camp Stalker that there were these lines of their little tale in the area which said…
"He Drowned in all our sins
He drowned in our mistakes
Fueled by the flood, we pay in blood
The curse of Crystal Lake"
And then I forgot about when I studied the Honey-Hook Wyvern I saw these lines which read….
"Left to die under the sun
The hive never spared anyone
How 'bout the hand for the honey bees
Hooked on the creed of their colony"
The most messed up part about the writing is that they were written in the blood of the dead bodies that were at the area where they were written.
Also Spencis told me about this place’s history and the dragons that he really wants in here and he even gave me the privilege to study them after hours when the place closes since he knew I was the Overseer of this world and knew how much I liked studying mythical beast, he would even asked me to create more of these types of dragons if I wanted too.
Then I asked him the big question that I think he knew I was gonna ask which was….
Why is the Las Angels Guard after you?
He told me more about his past where he was connected with the case of the death of Elias Black who was the alchemist who would help Spencis with his nightmares while he was traveling with his group which he told me that the fanged jester that was caged here, which I remembered that I studied that exact same fanged jester tortured Elias and killed him and now he is connected to the death of the women that I heard about which turned out is his Fiancé and the Las Angels leader Captain Harris isn’t stopping until he is behind bars. But Spencis told me that he knows who really killed her and he won’t stop until the real killer pays for what he has done.
But then I shook his hand and then left after talking to him and he even asked me if I was coming to opening night of the carnival and I told him yes and he told me these four words that I won’t forget "Sometimes…. Dead is Better." Which ended up gave me a shiver that went down my spine for some reason.
Then the big night came and Spencis Sang one of his songs with his group which was the Anthem to this place.
Then Spencis say these three words that would end up sticking with me every time I go to this place no matter if this place is opened or not which were…

For context, the character Spencis Charnas is based off of Ice Nine Kills Frontman Spencer Charnas who has made horror movie themed metal albums and I turned him into a ringmaster and owner of a freak show like carnival were these dragons are now going to be residing.
The Honey-Hooked Wyvern is based off of Candyman and the Crystal Lake Camp Stalker is based off of Jason Voorhees.
But overall what do you think?
Also can we get an episode like taking anime characters and putting them in the world of Persona (specifically the 5th one) or just a straight up Persona episode?
Also you referenced the Fanged Jester in the story and I was thinking are we gonna get horror icons as dragons sequel any time soon

I just have to say. We got to have a Pacific Rim inspired design. Perhaps MHA characters as Jagers from Pacific Rim. I can definitely see Kirishima as Cherno Alpha, inspired designs. Midorya as perhaps Gypsy Avenger design ish. Kaminary as November Ajax ( since they bowth use some form of electricity)…. I really want to see something like that. I know it may sound as just mechas, but come on Jagers are bloody massive, and in my opinion far more bad ass than just regular mecha suits.

My favorite armor was the spaceship one, the colors remind me to the Milano from Guardians of the Galaxy, loved the penguin armor, and i agree with Champange, it,s impresive how it solved the global warming, the two steampunk cowboys/bounty hunter were pretty cool as well, and my less favourite was the vulcanologist one a little simple for my taste but looks cool anyway

Ok so this was your best episode ever the art was great and I always enjoy it but the characters and their interactions were funny I couldn't eat keep up the good work
