I just made 5 of them! 1 for practice, 1 for money for my catsitter, and 3 for Christmas money for my granddaughters! You made it so easy!

    Dot from UK
Thank you for your demonstration. I tried to follow what you were doing but mine turned out to be a very odd shape, which I don't think there is a word for! I loved your word curmudgeonly. Anyway, my effort and your word both made me laugh. I am determined to master this cute origami Tato envelope, to send to my one and only telephone friend via age concern, I am a 73 year old widow who lives alone in the UK. I want to show her how cleaver I am, ha, ha. I will persevere with your excellent instructions, and hope that before I run out of paper, I will be able to achieve something that resembles your beautiful Tato envelope. Lots of love from the UK, Dot xxx.

I used to have one of those leather coin purses back in the early 80's. This brought those memories back.😊

Very nice! I'm going to try doing origami with my grandkids this weekend, but I think I'll start with an easier project!

I wonder where you got the colorful or rainbow-ish colored paper.

Does the paper size matter? Or is there a special type of paper? I'm so excited to try this.

I use a 6" square piece. I'm sure you can experiment with different sizes and types of paper depending on what you're going for.

It did look a bit fiddley. But Origami ican be complicated. They look like a lot of fun to make. What size paper did you use?
