No probs late in the afternoon when you were there. Give it a few hours after dark and things start to get a bit more active (especially on pension day). There is a reason why anything of value, has a big fence around it.... things like maintenance depot and business yards with vehicles / machinery. Mostly crimes against property, and any assaults are often a result of drunken disagreements, not a pre-meditated intent to do somebody personal harm. Similar to Alice Springs, best not to leave cars parked on the street overnight, especially nicer ones with interstate number plates, For the average punter, no problems at all walking around during the day.
Yea no issues when i was cruising around. I was staying behind woolies and the pub so didn't make it outside after 7pm! Lots of police presence constantly at woolies and near the bottle o!
Jesus ❤ nachos. Katherine is an amazing place to live. Definately has some problems. But the river is spectacular(once you leave the town stretches) and plently of barra to catch. But a 5 minute drive and your in the wilderness, free camping, cops never harrass you, amazing scenery. You really can remove complexity from your life and relax there.

So driving around town in a car during the day proves nothing walk around on a Saturday night. See how you go
One walk at night without a camera was worrying enough 😂
How is a camera going to help you at night? Ask them to say cheese ?? Just don't ask them to say Coon cheese.@@NatesStation
Do Katherine still have the Kirby club? Went there years ago one night@@NatesStation
@@danielsonn3046 No idea to be honest! I was only there for 2 nights
@@danielsonn3046 Yes.

A ten minute drive without getting mugged 👏
HAHAHA
Murals used to be good when they were rare, now it's just visual vomit all over the place. I can't stand them anymore.
All of the Northern Territory is very dangerous.
Definitely give it a miss the traffic looked horrendous.
Sunday arvo drive, all the crims still sleeping or in A&E getting patched up.
Lived there for 5 1/2 years, what a shithole.
😂😂
Been around Australia twice, think next time it will be too dangerous to stop.😅
Epic! Awesome experience I plan to have in the future!!
@@NatesStation Don't wait, time marches on.
@@jonjon-jd6vt The whole of The Territory is like that, great isn't it.
He crawled right into Katherine. Straight pass the hospital and into the first pub for a beer.
