One of the few things I can actually watch in 8k on my Samsung.. This, travelogues, and nature clip of animals and insects. I hope Marc Cuban gets the urge to push the curve like he did with HD a few years ago and start an 8k channel in the USA
Actually the clip looks a little soft for 8k (maybe the cameraman wasn’t too keen on focusing it properly, but I’ve seen some 4K that appear just as sharp and actually a tad sharper. Where it really shines though are the 12k downrezzed to 8k. Those are phenomenal.
Its about time that cable companies step up their game.. bluray, netflix, streaming services all 1080p,4k, hdr, vision etc and normal cable or sat tv is rubbish
Football should be in 8K, 120 FPS, HDR, REC 2100, and all the other bells and whistles that we have when it comes to video tech. And it should be available for everyone to watch on their TV, PC, phone or tablet no matter where they are in the world, for an affordable price. But no, greed and boomers who think that nobody needs that, are ruining it for us.
@@AgentSmith911 if it weren’t for boomers you’d still be watching this in 480p. Hopefully Marc Cuban who started one of the first HD channels will get the urge to start an 8k channel. The whole thing is you need content. You can only run a couple of movies so often and repeat games so many times. Even Hollywood is mostly filming in 5k.
@@AgentSmith911 It's very difficult to stream that live to millions of people. Mainly due to cable. I hope sports in general can do 1080p with 4k upscaling at 60fps. Anything else is overkill and will cost more than it is worth
There are many people who are still watching TV through Standard Definition and the regional BBC Channels are all running in Standard Definition too; that quality bothers me. But this video sets the standard for the future of broadcasting. It's extremely good.

It's not working. My screen does NOT get enhanced to 8k HDR. It's still 1080p. It's clearly fake, just like all the other videos I have tried. They all don't work !! ;-))))))

@@goat9295 It's possible with AV1 and newer TVs. It's not for everyone of course, but it should be an option.
Setting video quality on 4320p, if you not found 4320p, that's mean your device not support for 8K resolution...
Trying this on an 8K 2020 TV and can't see the 8K option on the menu, only 4K. Other 8K videos from TH-cam play fine.

This is where Government comes in. Government must mandate Cable and Network TV content providers to broadcast in native 4k, HDR at the very least.

It's horrendous owning a 4k tv right now and all the cable feeds are still 1080i and have been 1080 for half a decade.
