I just want to say thank you for all of the content you are putting out. My hubby and I both play, and we feel that we have both benefited greatly from watching your videos. The guild we are in is mainly new players, and I am constantly recommending your videos and posting the links in the guild discord we created.
Thank you for making this video, it's nice to see that Dungeon Decent is linked to campaign. I'm at 31-60 already and had struggles with Dungeon Decent a few times along the way. So this is very valuable info for newer players to avoid unnecessary frustrations. That said I hope they improve both match making and how thigs scale in the future. You are awesome, keep up the good work ^w^
I stopped advancing in campaign specifically because of Dungeon Descent. The rewards and discounts on intimacy items are way better than campaign anyway. I usually run F Daevala, F Lion, F Ugrull, M Aeson, and M Lume. I 100% clear all levels until I get the two stones (wrath and life) and the ult potion then I boss hunt. I still maintain that the whole thing takes way too much time. They should cut it down to 5 levels and just make it more challenging.
You should be able to choose the difficulty (after each difficulty the recommened mighr should stand) And each harder difficulty should have better rewards.
You only have to take your time and look for the characters you unlock during the descent. Replace your dead ones with the heros you find along the way. Never had an issue yet.
Dunno if you've discovered this yet, but you can test teams in the arena. If you send in a weaker team, you'll get destroyed in your first match, since you'll be matched with teams on the same power level as your previous team, then the algorithm will pair you with people who are on a similar power level to your team. PS: I think VoC depends on the results of your last season(s?). I played my first VoC last season. I was in with a good alliance. Our top teams were 800-900k, and we got first place. This season, my team is 2nd to last with top power teams of around 1,000k, and we're going up against monsters with 1,500k team power. I didn't advance in the main quest at all in between seasons.
I'd like to know what guardian defense and other similar game modes are tied to tho. I believe it is overall might, because my campain stagnates from a long while now (No. 13-31), but guardian defense only gets harder and harder. At 1 point I could go up as high as ~70 floors in a single run, then it was around ~50 floors and now in this one I scored 44 floors twice in a row, only getting to 51 today. I did some upgrading on my teams recently, but it wasn't that significant. However due to constant upgrades in my districts and more champions from the dungeon and other little tid bits are increasing my might. It is a real struggle in events where I have to beat increasingly more difficult enemies.
Additionally... I have completed campaign. I noticed on lvl 1 the teams are 21m each play level increased the monsters team by 10m... so lvl 2 the monster team was 31m.
I stopped pushing campaign a few weeks ago. I noticed the same thing. I failed to completed a dungeon descent. I have not had that problem since I stopped pushing campain.
Before I realized DD was linked to the pve conquest I was surviving with just my female kargak, male ts, and female daevala...the sustainability of those is pretty op, they maintained full health by the end of each fight on most occasions. Even when the enemy had female luxuriant in middle slot and charmed the heck out of my male ts, I was getting through these fights fairly ok...female kargak is underrated in my opinion maybe not the best in pvp but definitely had her uses when I was struggling in DD before I realized the easier way you've explained here.
Are there some perfect Stops in Campaign. Maybe special Rewards we should have at least, before we stop? I'm in Chapter 18 for example, should I go one or 2 higher? I could because my Dungeon is easy at the moment. But if there is nothing special i could just stay here.
You get some increases to collect rewards. And you start to be able to get mythic gear around there. If your dungeons are way too easy, you could consider doing a chapter and trying again.
Once I added a M Lume to my team, Dungeon became trivial... I'm in chapter 28 currently.. I was stuck at floor 5 forever while in chapt 26. If you're a old-school rpg'er, use the holy trinity. Tank, healer dps... The PvE portion of this game plays completely differently. I built my team around beating the game, not other people. It just so happens my team is also good at beating people. I run F Lion, M Simir,Aeson F Fulgur. M Lume If you're a D&D player that's a Pally, Fighter, Cleric and 2 mages...Solid team. I've been using the dungeon to test for a few weeks. Does it suck, yes. However it does work. You get 7 boss fights a day plus, 5 arena fights and whatever boss event that's going on. That's not enough testing opportunities when you're far enough along that you're testing viability of individual traits to advance your team. Everyone needs a sustain team for high level PvE. Every sustain team needs heals or shields. Thinking your team that normally only has to fight other teams for 25 seconds in pvp and wins is going to fight Npc's for 60 seconds and still win is silly. 95% of PvP fights are a sprint. 95% of PvE fights are a marathon You train and build differently for each event.
I usually have to reset several times. it has gotten to the point some time i just don't do it. and its not like i don't know how to play the game i am #3 in the campaign list.
If you who read this is struggling with dd, here are some tips. 1. At the beginning of a stage hit the floors in a circle with a hole in the middle, then every second around it, then make it outer circles, repeat. At last, fill the holes. Since enemys blocking u from raising more tiles going in strait lines mostly will get u fighting more than u need. 2. Avoid fights with female luxuriant if you can. 3. Picking banners gives u more power than the armor or weapons most of the time since banners are for the whole group and armors or weapons usually are restricted to 2 positions in ur comp. But everything that u get for free u get for free. 4. Use the healing beacons as late as possible. 5. Like ragepanda said having a healer in ur team is crucial and will increase ur winning chances a lot. 6. The further you get into the dungeon the more fights you should skipp. The amount of healing and revive beacons u find will decrease with every stage and every fight u dont need to get u to the next stage can cost you a champ. I personally only do the bosses after stage 20 and advance after picking up the free stuff if the rng lets me do it.
Great video... did not touch on an issue I have with DD. I switched from lume to aeson. Too lazy to reset and switch for DD. I keep getting my m tide charmed and killing others on my team. I found the solution. Lowered the level of both tides. Left my VAMP at 700. Most importantly I only pick boosts for health, defense and dmg redux. I do not boost attack. Now my vamp gets charmed and her regular dmg is minimal. Hope this helps.
Merci pour la vidéo et ce test qui prouve bien que c'est lié. J'aurai aimé le voir avant ^^. Néanmoins merci, perso je vais stoper la campagne qui de toute façon ne sert a rien et donne des cadeaux nuls
Has anyone done the math for how many 3 star champions are needed to go from 10 star to 15 star? Is it 42 of the upgrade champion and 36 feeder champions or did i mess it up?
Do you think, that the effect of "stones" stacks? I'm not sure, because healing rate looks like about the same, wether if you have one or two gems of wraths.
Hey Ragepanda! I have had the same issues as you mention in the video with Dungeon Descent after pushing the campaign as far as i can (for my might lvl) And as you mention i do believe its also connected to VOC and Gulild War. So after spending like half a day and numerous restarts before to finish Descent i tried something different. What i have been doing for the last month is to select your best team of 5 champions, but once you get to fight you remove 1 and only fight with 4 champs. This is supereasy and probably a scaling bug, a full descent takes maybe 1 hour max now, and i havent had to restart a single one for a month. If you pickup Ragepotion and energy gem its even faster. If i put in 5 champions my team gets wrecked but with 4 they steamroll it! Check it out if it helps more ppl who is struggling... Cheers
Morning bro. It's tedious and boring but what i do is I start stage one i flip as many tiles as possible. I'm looking for free chests and the boss. Specifically I'm looking for either stone of energy or potion of rage. If I don't find any of those I restart the stage until I do. Once I've gotten one of the two I move on to stage five. There I reset the stage until i get the other relic from the shop. Once i have both of those it gets pretty easy.
It doesnt affect VOC Top might on my server is 3133M, mine is 2015M. But i am 29-28 to his 28-29 and he constantly faces 3M+ teams and i am yet to see a 2.5M team (my team is only 2M)
I have barely enough power to get to the third lvl. I usually replace my entire team with chars given by yhe dd. I can do most lvls up to 10th floor soloing with 1 or 2 mythics from the dongeon. I top power at 1.5 million and i keep trashing anything past lvl15. I've been doing this for the past month. I thought this was how to do DD.
Something else influences it on a relevant way. No campaign change, no important might change, same team, easy dungeon and then drilled on lv2 after reset. This happened before xmas. It decreased it's difficulty gradually over time. No general relevant change on my account and went lv 12 after 2 resets, lv 17 after another 2 resets, easy dungeon after another 2 or 3 resets. Now i do an easy dungeon, do 10 campaign Battles and get a harder dungeon, improve team, easy dungeon, 10 campaign Battles and so on. V.o.c sucks for me, but that is so because i have a crappy team. ;)
I am currently in the last chapter of campaign and the last time i played this mode I was able to beat it only because daevala is broken and she can somehow just still win. On many times my whole team was dying on the first level at best they made it to the sixth floor. Then daevala would continue to win for me. So for those who do not have strong daevala please listen to ragepanda1 and don't push campaign too hard. My team is currently 25 mil and floor 1 enemy is currently 30.8mil. So just be careful as I just hate the amount of clicking you need to do for this mode so i didn't mind going through campaign but the discounts are amazing and I should have slowed down my progress so it would be easier.
I fell for that, I took it as a challenge to get as far as possible in campaign by changing around champ positions, thought that was the point of it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Unfortunately I didn’t know about the dungeon scaling off campaign level and got to the stage where no matter how many times I restarted I just couldn’t get past lvl 5. So I just stopped doing Dungeons and campaign for a week or two till I could get my team stronger. Which I think is pretty dangerous for a game company to do, as the game got pretty boring.
U cud have just reset the shop at lvl 5 till the rage potion was available to by. Voc is based on total power when u get a bad one it's because people wait to get in and then ascend their teams
The point of the test was to check that. It isn't possible to be true. If it is a contributor, it is a small contributor. I didn't raise any power on anything on the entire server in between tests. Only pushed campaign, and the numbers were considerably higher based on that change alone.
@Ragepanda1 my theory is that the most efficient method would be to only push campaign as the development guide wants you to do so. At least until you've gotten the most you can out of the dungeon.
I am leaving this here in hopes that Goat can learn these basic game design lessons most new game designers struggle to learn. 1) RNG is lazy programming: It is an easy way to add variety, but when overused it takes the thought (and much of the fun) out of the game. 2)Balance is more important than bling: Throwing the game out of balance for the sake of quick sales will turn the game into a paid exclusive and drive out a large part of your player base. 3) reasonable prices will improve profits: if you price things around the concept of $30 a month (total) expected spending more people will stick around and more people will spend money. If you only focus on the "whales" you will lose most of your players, then the whales will have no one to play with. (no reason to continue spending). 4) If you want this to be a multiplayer experience your servers have to allow more players, and you also have to account for the multitude who realize your game is not for them. 5) Grind is no substitute for actual content: Hours a day doing the same content gets old fast. 6) make sure relevant content is available at reasonable times: to get the value packs I find the most relevant, I have to wait (no reason to spend money while waiting.) I joined the game because I wanted a specific clan, but 2 months later it is still not available. Good luck, and have fun!
yeah really regretting going up to 29-28 but atleast higher campaign = more bread p/m and when you need 94B gold to max a champion every little bit helps. Also my daevala can solo DD.
If you can make level 5 you can just reset level 5 until you get the rage potion or whatever you want and never start from level one again. Will definitely save a bunch of time.
Dungeon Descent is a terrible test scenario for lower level champs, the equipment very quickly makes your shown power level completely wrong, and the enemy scales with some kind of hidden factor too to keep up. It's just scuffed so they'd need to re-do the whole thing. Which they should because dungeon descent is a slog of easy battles and really slow animations.
I disagree with the spirit of this comment on the basis that any test area is better than none and resetting to get as many battles as possible with continually harder enemies is still a good test regardless of arbitrary numbers. A standard would emerge, and testing would become reliable.
The champs in dungeon decent all have lvl10 mythic gear and skills set to lvl5. DECENT isn't as easy when ur person heros have skills level 10 plus. I dont use anything other then the team I bought into the fight cause they r ALOT weaker. I find myself reseting at floor 3 if I don't get what I need (Healing effects) I try to avoid female lux groups until last cause they always charm my ignis who can wipe my team
There's a balance to it. You get some nice upgrades from doing campaign, so it's a good thing to get through, but you don't want to push extremely hard.
So true but the is infested with fleas n ticks as now in gc my team gets reversed 1 2 3 become 3 2 1 as wrote them they said log off n back in work for a short time n now it happens when not on line devs don't care
Ok than there is no sense in making the campaign, if you want to have fun.... And thx for testing this. So I'm sure I don't want to touch campaign now again... But I anyways don't have enough time for it, with all this game modes YOU HAVE TO DO, so you dont fall back in recources
Remember, it's OK to do it at your own pace and skip some things. Figure out what your goals are and then do what makes you happy and gets you closer to those goals
I just want to say thank you for all of the content you are putting out. My hubby and I both play, and we feel that we have both benefited greatly from watching your videos. Try to do it daily, but I allow myself days off when I need them

How can u remove heroes from the dengeun so you can ascend hero?

do rewards get better too if it gets harder?

I agree. Female karguk is very underrated.
I like that they put the auto campaign in after this came out. Trap after trap after trap.
Hadn't thought about that. I think it's more ignorance than evil intent, though.

Suffering from success. At least now you know it is bad game scaling and not your fault.
If you who read this is struggling with dd, here are some tips.

There's a chart that I intend to cover soon
Do you think, that the effect of "stones" stacks? I'm not sure, because healing rate looks like about the same, wether if you have one or two gems of wraths.
I haven't paid close enough attention to say. I will look more closely next time.
I believe they do. It's a small % so it can be difficult to perceive unless you have a whole bunch.
Yes they do if u manage to get 5 or more stones of the same kind it gets more visible
Hey Ragepanda!
I have had the same issues as you mention in the video with Dungeon Descent after pushing the campaign as far as i can (for my might lvl) And as you mention i do believe its also connected to VOC and Gulild War. I'd rather just keep the scaling in check. I struggle to force myself into dungeon descent as it is lol
It doesnt affect VOC Top might on my server is 3133M, mine is 2015M. But i am 29-28 to his 28-29 and he constantly faces 3M+ teams and i am yet to see a 2.5M team (my team is only 2M)
Talking about that i really felt it was way harder after advancing in the campaign. Other thing i found more dificult was the clan event.
I think you're right about the clan event as well!
I think you're right that many things factor in. I believe total might is one of them. I'm not sure what else.
Unfortunately I didn’t know about the dungeon scaling off campaign level and got to the stage where no matter how many times I restarted I just couldn’t get past lvl 5. So I just stopped doing Dungeons and campaign for a week or two till I could get my team stronger. Which I think is pretty dangerous for a game company to do, as the game got pretty boring.
I got to the same point and almost quit. They really skate on thin ice sometimes.
U cud have just reset the shop at lvl 5 till the rage potion was available to by. Voc is based on total power when u get a bad one it's because people wait to get in and then ascend their teams
That's certainly a trick people abuse. But it's not an indication of their matchmaking. But we do have a precedent of how they judge power.
The 2 conquest modes are red hot garbage. Their "improvements" made them unplayable for the average player.
dungeon descent 1 level power is based on the power of ur strongest team
The point of the test was to check that. It isn't possible to be true. If it is a contributor, it is a small contributor. I didn't raise any power on anything on the entire server in between tests. Only pushed campaign, and the numbers were considerably higher based on that change alone.
Don't put your Lume in the middle. If you want to be invincible, just put him in the back and start boosting attack. Massive healing will happen.
Dungeon Decent is not the only thing they do this with. The clan events also does this.
Good point!
Now knowing that it's based on campaign you should just use that knowledge and pause campaign until you've gotten what you need out of the dungeon.
I mostly will. Which slows other aspects of the game.
@Ragepanda1 my theory is that the most efficient method would be to only push campaign as the development guide wants you to do so. At least until you've gotten the most you can out of the dungeon.
Agreed

Good luck, and have fun!
I believe some of these lessons are sinking on for them. And I hope they learn before they sink the game.
yeah really regretting going up to 29-28 but atleast higher campaign = more bread p/m and when you need 94B gold to max a champion every little bit helps. Also my daevala can solo DD.
That little blood sucker can do it all
If you can make level 5 you can just reset level 5 until you get the rage potion or whatever you want and never start from level one again. Will definitely save a bunch of time.
Sad that that has to be a tactic.
hey bro ithappen to me i kept trying clear it on 6th try thanx to items waste few hours
Dungeon Descent is a terrible test scenario for lower level champs, the equipment very quickly makes your shown power level completely wrong, and the enemy scales with some kind of hidden factor too to keep up.
I find myself reseting at floor 3 if I don't get what I need (Healing effects) I try to avoid female lux groups until last cause they always charm my ignis who can wipe my team
but now I will stop progress on campaign for a couple weeks:)
Yeah. I'd rather breeze through and make it as fast as possible. Maybe they'll change it someday, because it's a terrible system.
Jezz, my man, I just pushed my compaign from 27-ish to 30-ish. Worst timing ever 😢
Best wishes, soldier.
so dont ever play campaign your saying ?
There's a balance to it. You get some nice upgrades from doing campaign, so it's a good thing to get through, but you don't want to push extremely hard.
Ya I've had the champagne beat for months and am in top tier voc with 98m Neo geo lol
Being only 60m power he is hard to beat
That sounds like the least fun lol
So true but the is infested with fleas n ticks as now in gc my team gets reversed 1 2 3 become 3 2 1 as wrote them they said log off n back in work for a short time n now it happens when not on line devs don't care
I believe they do care. They don't want their game to fail. But I also believe they're flailing a bit. I hope they are righting the ship!
