The thing that gets me with every time I see clips of the Beavis and Butthead sketch is that every single extra keeps it together. It is the cast members that lose it.
My dogs hate it when I sing the Barry Gibb Talk Show anthem. They start howling every time. Sometimes it gets stuck in my head and they howl all day lol.
When gosling as beavis was asked if anyones ever said they look like the characters and gosling says "ive heard rumblings" is the funniest thing ive ever heard 😂😂😂 how tf did they not show that part😂
You forgot the Christmas gift wrap episode, with James Franco "accidentally" spurting fake blood everywhere, making Kate mckinnon losing it and even making Leslie Jones almost puke on live TV. that was hysterically chaotic.
Great pick with "Fernando's Hide-away". There was another I recall with Billy Crystal, the "I hate when that happens" guys (I forget the partner), where they or others were breaking through most of it.
You cannot trust a golden retriever not to decide to act like a golden retriever instead of acting in character! 🤣 Most trained animals are very on point, but a goldie is special - But I wouldn't trust a beagle either, I have beagles. 😉
I feel like Janet Jackson is kind of enunciating not as much from enjoyment, but from knowing so damn good and well that she's definitely going to say it wrong.. 🤣🤣🤣
The different characters during "Weekend Update." 😂😅😂😅" Extremely Stupid." To funny😂😅😂😅😂😅"The Californian's" skits😂😅😂😅😂😅The models Wiig & Rudolph, silly😊😂😅
My favorite sketch is snl at home ::kates cat sketch... but man Heidi wins for best break.. she looked like she was gonna make herself puke. That ryan episode was almost the best thing ever
LOL 😂 I SAW THE NEWS ONE WITH THE DOCTOR N I ALSO SAW THE HOTTUBED ONE N FOR ALL THE SKETCHES THAT JIMMY FALLON WERE IN I THINK THAT HE SHOULD BE DOING THE SKETCHES THAT HE WAS IN ON HIS OWN LATE NIGHT TALK SHOW
*SNL completely dropped the ball when it came to that "Beavis and Butt-Head" skit as they literally had the perfect duo to play those roles on their cast years ago... I MEAN SERIOUSLY can anyone else see Will Ferrell play Butt-Head and Chris Kattan play Beavis in an SNL skit or even in a Real life in a movie?!* 👀🤯
Completely agree. Great content, but she talks way too much. My wife and I don’t watch her videos anymore because of that. We don’t need explanation, just let us watch.
Fairly sure they only talk over it so much so they can use the "fair use" copyright clause, which allows for copyrighted material to be utilised if it is being reacted to/commentated on. If they let it play out too much, the video would be taken down for copyright infringement
Why do they keep forgetting the bit with the clothing change during a political skit went awire and the wardrobe lady came on in the middle of the sketch and the whole cast lost it live on air? Aidy Bryant couldn't even say her lines after that.
The folks from Z-Generation dont even know, who Beavis and Butthead are... I was laughing for long time, when i saw them at the Oscars the first time 😂
Not sure Stefan should have been been number 1 as the sketch is specifically designed to make Hader break because John Mulaney would have the cue cards changed on-the-fly last second and/or it was just built that way to not have Hader know what was coming next. It's barely a planned sketch. Great choices though, thanks for putting them together!
Always give us SNL sketches! But do read about comedy. We can see when they "break character," "break the fourth wall," are "unable to contain themselves," "can't keep a straight face." This should have been called "More Examples of SNL Cast Losing It," not "Never Going to Work," because they _do_ work. I *love* when they break the fourth wall; I drop everything when WM shows me that title. Here are some elements which might help your comments; they're in caps. I would send them privately if I knew how. You don't need to tell us that something or someone is UNEXPECTED, UNACCEPTABLE, or INCONGRUOUS - they're the basis of all humor. We already know that certain cast members will make most of us laugh; that's not analysis. The Fortuneteller sketch works because the audience knows about Covid and the characters don't - that's DRAMATIC IRONY. Animals and props misbehaving raise real risks in viewers' minds; they're not funny simply because there's an "accident." You're right to call it "comedic TENSION," they are successful also in "Down by the River" and the game show sketch with Kristen and Maya. Ego Nwodim's AGGRESSIVEness in the shaking table sketch - "I need to cut this!" and "Why, cuz we black?" - is what makes the sketch comedic, not Pedro's laughing. Matt Foley behaves likewise. They use SARCASM, which is offensive irony. Gilda's invention of a new form of bias (DISPARAGEMENT HUMOR) against stupid people is the genius, not Bergen's cracking up. GROSS-OUT humor shows up with Massive-Headwound Harry, with the IN-JOKE that Linda Hamilton acted in the most successful violent franchise ever. Will Ferrell in "Cowbell" is, to a much lesser extent, the same, with Gene's bouncing stomach the focus. Ms. Rafferty, the DEADPAN alien abductee with "hysterically funny dialogue" as you put it, wows us not just because of the details, which you rightly mention, but because of the slang terms she introduces us to - OFF-COLOR humor with SHOCK value. ("My dong-hole and my wrong hole.") The hugely popular "Californians" succeeds because their accents are EXAGGERATED almost to the point of INCOHERENCE. Also, their obsessions with driving and with 'Californian' foods such as white wine and nachos & avocado showcase the IRRATIONAL because, though they're important to them, they seem neurotic to others. Everyone has secrets, so everyone exhibits HYPOCRISY. I love your episodes! Please don't think of my comments as vitriolic complaints, they really are just meant to give you something new to say. IMITATION is, of course, a powerful technique in comedy, but you don't need it. Hugs!
The infographics in the bottom-left corner would be a lot more helpful if it mentioned the episode number and release date instead of the series' debut date.
I'm old enough to remember SNL with the Gumbies and Rosanna Rossana Danna with a sweat ball rollin' off her nose. THAT was the funny dayz. Now, couldn't care to watch
That's like Americans trying to watch Steptoe and Son, and quite a lot of Fools and Horses. Unless you were there to understand the background you kind of miss due to context.

Hate when talk over.🤬 .
Maine Justice with Jaime Foxx!
Exactly … ugh
The Beavis and Butthead sketch had me on the floor laughing my ass off! Please let these two do a live action movie version of the cartoon!
I still think the way Gilda Radner flipped the script in that sketch was the greatest "save" of all time.
The thing that gets me with every time I see clips of the Beavis and Butthead sketch is that every single extra keeps it together. It is the cast members that lose it.
That's because the extras don't have to talk and interact. Also the first sketch i saw ppl laughing besides the main members 😂
Where is Schwetty Balls?????😊
The Californians are the most brutal sketches I've ever seen. I love them so much.
Bill hader must be the goat. He was in a lot of these.
Goat or maybe sheep
AS A STEFON FAN, HIM BEING NUMBER ONE MADE ME EXTREMELY HAPPY
I'm so mad i did not appreciate the character when it 1st air but I have since watched all the segments and I can't stop laughing!!!
My dogs hate it when I sing the Barry Gibb Talk Show anthem. They start howling every time. Sometimes it gets stuck in my head and they howl all day lol.
What about the restaurant sketch with Kenan Thompson as a singing lobster? 🦞
I love that sketch! Keenan and cast singing songs from "Les Mis", and Pete Davidson can't hold it together after the first 30 seconds.
Very scene with Keenan is him cracking lol
The best SNL sketches are always when the cast breaks character.
I believe that in the scene with The Love-ahs, Will Ferrell’s character was playing footsie with Jimmy Fallon, too 😂
It's one of my favorite skits haha
And the Barry Gibb talk show 😂 but not for Fallon. It's JT 😂
Find someone who loves you the way Ms. Mojo loves that skit with Bill Hader in a wheelchair.
LOL🥰
I love that skit. I saw that live and died.
If you weren’t almost pissing yourself watching that sketch I pity you 😂
When gosling as beavis was asked if anyones ever said they look like the characters and gosling says "ive heard rumblings" is the funniest thing ive ever heard 😂😂😂 how tf did they not show that part😂
I love when they break. It makes it feel truly live. If they never laughed it wouldn't feel real.
Sean Hayes in the gap sketch always makes me laugh
He has a great interview on Dana Carvey’s and David spades podcast on “ fly on the wall “
I adore Steffon's sketches! ♥
Hader as Stefon is the best stuff ever.
I went breathless laughing every time I watched him.
Living in Temecula, I approve Lisa from Temecula!😂
As much as i love these clips, i couldn't watch the whole post - the voice over chiming in at the worst time and ads made it so painful!
I always loved the character Lisa. I could watch that over and over, and still laugh.
Always amazed how the background cast members can keep a straight face and not lose it. I can not not laugh!
Does nobody remember Brendan Fraser playing Xena?! GOLD!
This!!! It’s one of my all time fav SNL moments and it’s really hard to find!
Classic Van Down by the River!
You forgot the Christmas gift wrap episode, with James Franco "accidentally" spurting fake blood everywhere, making Kate mckinnon losing it and even making Leslie Jones almost puke on live TV. that was hysterically chaotic.
You forgot the one sketch with Tarzan, Tonto, and Frankenstein's Monster where Phil Hartman loses it.
Awesome upload!!!! Comedy gold😂😂
How did anyone work with Will Ferrell & not break? 😂
Beavis and Butthead
Are you threatening me?!
@@p.l.537😂😂😂
🎶breakin the law🎶 breakin the law 🎶
Jimmy has _such_ a talent for vocal impressions. To be able to imitate while singing is a bonus all his fans appreciate.
Jimmy Fallon sux.. So unfunny..
Great pick with "Fernando's Hide-away". There was another I recall with Billy Crystal, the "I hate when that happens" guys (I forget the partner), where they or others were breaking through most of it.
Melissa McCarthy in the Hidden Valley Ranch focus group skit deserves to be on this list.
I love the numerous reminders that all the clips we're watching are from "Saturday Night Live."
You cannot trust a golden retriever not to decide to act like a golden retriever instead of acting in character! 🤣 Most trained animals are very on point, but a goldie is special - But I wouldn't trust a beagle either, I have beagles. 😉
The Matt Foley scene (#2) was funny but hard seeing both Chris Farley and Phil Hartman who have passed on
No Jost, Kate is NOT ok, that’s what makes her so damn good.
Kate is my favorite and I've seen all seasons of snl... she is the greatest
I didn't notice when I saw this live that Cecily drinks White Girl Wasted wine. (Boxed.)
Good picks btw!! Stefon is one of the best characters of all time ❤
The Lovahs 😂
I feel like Janet Jackson is kind of enunciating not as much from enjoyment, but from knowing so damn good and well that she's definitely going to say it wrong.. 🤣🤣🤣
Awww... Gilda!!! You have been missed!
Best part of this video is you talking over all the sketches
I think for copyright reasons, they can't show a lot of them
I think more people need to have a better understanding of how copyright works and why only a small amount is actually played
How about Nake and Afraid with Leslie Jones and Peter Dinklage
The Beavis and butthead sketch is hilarious I would be laughing too
How about Short Shorts for the USA? (It’s here on TH-cam.) Where Will Ferrell uses a much shorter pair of shorts than he did in dress rehearsal.
Can we all agree that the Weekend Update aren’t expected to keep a straight face and aren’t “breaking” when they laugh during their segments?
You could just have a Jimmy Fallon list. He laughs in 93% of all sketches.
How were Beavis and Butt-Head not Hands down #1 . Did any of these others go viral?
Ummmm a lot of them did.
Van down by the river is classic. It went viral before viral was even a thing.
Cowbell is the definition of viral
If the Beavis and Butthead sketch is the only SNL sketch you know, then you don't know much.
Umm...SNL has been on the air for over 40 years. I'm sure that they've had more viral moments other than just Beavis and Butt-head
Dog Head Man will never not be hilarious.
Beavis and Butt-Head and Scooby Doo
"Scooby Doo" taught me to love Sarah Sherman, whom I was meh towards before.
The Beavis and Butthead sketch is my favorite ever I mean ever ever ever!!!!!
How many lists about SNL breaking character can they make?
I need more!
Sometimes you get charged for stuff like that
Could you please shush and let us LISTEN TO THE SCENE PLAY OUT?
Completely agree. Great content, but she talks way too much. My wife and I don’t watch her videos anymore because of that. We don’t need explanation, just let us watch.
I was going to say, " you go girl!" But "amen" will suffice.
We should go all "Chauncey Gardiner" on her ass!
Fairly sure they only talk over it so much so they can use the "fair use" copyright clause, which allows for copyrighted material to be utilised if it is being reacted to/commentated on. If they let it play out too much, the video would be taken down for copyright infringement
I think more people need to have a better understanding of how copyright works and why only a small amount is actually played
OMG.....thank you!!!
Why do they keep forgetting the bit with the clothing change during a political skit went awire and the wardrobe lady came on in the middle of the sketch and the whole cast lost it live on air? Aidy Bryant couldn't even say her lines after that.
Everyone knows EXPLAINING COMEDY IS ALWAYS FUNNIER THAN THE COMEDY ITSELF!
The folks from Z-Generation dont even know, who Beavis and Butthead are... I was laughing for long time, when i saw them at the Oscars the first time 😂
The californians are the best!
Undisputed
Man, I really miss Chris Farley. He was one-of-a-kind.
22:29 the timing 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
The thumbnail alone got me to click on this vid.
Chris Farley comes up from the basement to do the sketch in the living room
Forgot shweaty balls with sean Connery
Bill Hader, man. Got the best seat in the house.
Kristen Wiig as the flirting expert. That one is classic.
Eddie Murphy playing Buckwheat in "Mr. Robinsons neighborhood"
The early SNL is the one that started it all, but that sketch is lol funny.
I think I’ve never rewatched a skit as much as I’ve done with Dress Rehearsal Renaldo and Alexis
100% Stefon is #1
Not sure Stefan should have been been number 1 as the sketch is specifically designed to make Hader break because John Mulaney would have the cue cards changed on-the-fly last second and/or it was just built that way to not have Hader know what was coming next. More cowbell!
Fallon was always breaking character and screwing up the sketches.
What about Schweddy Balls??
ANY Cathi Anne skit❣️ Please how could she be overlooked?!?
I'd love to watch the sketches you are talking about, but you just can't stop mumbling... 3:29
If snl did multiple guest actors with a main mc, that could be fun.
If you could stop yip-yapping trying to explain what's going on we could actually HEAR it.
Because over-explaining the funny, over the funny, is always so much funnier than the funny.
That's what I said!
Cant get enough of this commentary, i mean with out it id have zero idea of whats going on in life

26 should be at the top of the list
Peyton Manning really did well
The only one i agree with is every steffon skit
So you guys, with all your resources of "MoJo", could only find a crappy, VCR taped, out of sync, black screened "Fernando's hideaway" @14:24?
Any Gillie sketch
aww i was hoping at least one of Pete Davidson's fails would make this list lolz
Funny part about the Californians is that the directions they are giving are accurate. Lol
Happy saturday afternoon, Rebecca. Take care and God bless you. Greetings from Colombia to you as well.
Beavis and butt head should be in top 10
OMG TH-cam the ads every freakin 30 seconds is ridiculous. Why even show videos at all and just do 15 minutes of commercials?
12:04, 😆
I freakin ❤ The Californians !!!!!😅
That scene should have been a higher than number 20
Just saying
Makes me remember why I quit watching this show like 20 years ago.
The infographics in the bottom-left corner would be a lot more helpful if it mentioned the episode number and release date instead of the series' debut date.
Figure it out yourself Einstein
B.D.F. YOU are correct.
I'm old enough to remember SNL with the Gumbies and Rosanna Rossana Danna with a sweat ball rollin' off her nose. THAT was the funny dayz. Now, couldn't care to watch
Guess you have to be American to really appreciate this kind of humour. SNL was never screened in UK, for good reason too 😁
That's like Americans trying to watch Steptoe and Son, and quite a lot of Fools and Horses. Unless you were there to understand the background you kind of miss due to context.
@@laurahall3094 true although I was never a fan of Only Fools. I’m in the minority. The SNL that does travel well is epic though. Classic stuff 😁
