In this video, Amit starts the ride from Kakarvitta which is the first town upon entering Nepal from Siliguri's Panitanki border.
About 450km covered to reach Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal via Itahari, Chatra, Ghurmi.
The ride started with slight drizzle which turned sunny after the first 100kms.
Initially, the roads were excellent but turned extremely offroad in the second half.
The road towards Kathmandu is versatile consisting (on the above route mentioned) of highways, twisty mountain roads, offroad, dusty, muddy patches and water crossings.
Upon reaching Kathmandu, we booked a hotel and checked in.
(almost every hotel has wifi but, sim is a bonus for maps, music and social media on the go)

Hey Amit never cold start bike on double stand, I have observed that re bikes doesn't pump oil when we put key to critical touch points on double stand..only when it on tires or single stand it pumps oil when key inserted.. therefore starting the engine won't damage as oil has reached already...so this is what I do every morning put bike key then remove the bike from double stand and then wait for 10 second and start and then wait a min and rev a little and go on with my ride.😊
25:39 The mirrors are offered up to the goddess Seti Devi Mata as prayers to avoid accidents. There is a nearby temple that sells additional mirrors to any travelers who wish to add to the panoramic oblation.

From my view another ways is good to reach KTM but for the foreigners that you choose is the perfect root because you gona enjoy the mountain beauty and little off road as well.
And you guys missed the Khosi bridge 🌉.
Continue and explore the Nepal, and you need to go Upper Mustang must. You guys are coming from very long ways and must visit upper MUSTANG I think so.

It's a kind of protection from mishaps to the vehicles running on that road, travelers often purchase mirrors and place there in order to keep them safe from accidents and major injuries.

You took the wrong turn at Katari and went on to old Sagarmatha Highway(Mt. Everest road), it used to be the only road that led to Everest region and missed the best part of the road. If you had taken the proper paved road from Katari, it would bring you back to 24:24 (Khurkot), no off road and no dangerious ride. Anyways, make sure to follow the map next time.

The ropeway you saw in the middle of city isn't operational right now. It was used to transfer raw materials to a factory ( i am not sure but it I guess cement factory)
Those mirrors are there as a religious belief for some godess ( i forgot the name ) for the protection of people and vehicles on that dangerous road.

The mirros in the highway of sindhuli bardibas is placed by the riders , drivers so that the godddes living there will bless us for our beautiful and happy journey and also main reason you wont get any accident on the highway . HERE IS THE ANSWER:- Its belive that long time back after the road construction so many accident start to happened on that mirror area and according to the local people there was a temple one that road area and it was like disbeliveing or disgracing of god so...its connected like that and huge holly puja Was done there and ever since vehicles running on the route started to offer mirror to that temple and belive that these god keep safe you one the ride ...LOTS OF LOVE FROM NEPAL..

The significance of the mirrors is actually religious. Local people say that there was a tree that was cut down during construction of the road and that godesses used to live in it. So when it was cut down she got angry and there were many accidents including one in which a huge number of people died. Later a temple was built there and people have been placing mirror ever since.
