Joey joey Gomez, so under rated. Drives forward passes, so calm on the ball, seamlessly covers trent and pairs with van dyk like the most gracefully centre half pairing the prems seen. What a player and professional
He was so calm and collected all game. Not to say he wasn't a bit Shakey sometimes but 95% of the time he just looked like a good PL starting CB. Love him long may it continue
I dnt knw wat liverpool games u watchin last few of them..we ve leaked goals against decent teams n honestly lucky still 7 pts clear cause team around us drop pts.. Gomez has done ok but we missed konate at the back no doubt about it.
What on earth is Rob on about Macca being like Milner? Macca is our best midfielder. Gravenberch has had the better season yes, but Macca is the one who can and HAS won us games. He's the one who breaks lines with his passes. The Szoboszlai shout is insane too.
Maybe he was referring to how he acts like a battering ram in midfield to break up their counter attacks. Or his ability to charge past Salah and pass the ball onto the six yard line for an assist.
I thought the same thing.. He severely downplayed his abilities and just made him seem ordinary.. he’s our best midfielder and if he can’t see that then fair enough.. but he just is.
@@garycarey9376 he 100% is and we should be tieing him down because with Modric soon retiring I gurantee he'll be the one Madrid are looking at as the perfect replacement.
That Leicester 2019 game was going through my mind yesterday; the similarities were eerie. We were 4 points clear and city had lost but then we drew our own fixture (vs Leicester at home in shocking weather). Everyone was devastated afterwards after going 5 points clear!
Nunez is 4 goals in all comps this season. When he wasn't putting them away the excuse was he creates his own chances. Now he's getting no chances it's down to tactics etc. I think the obvious answer is he's just not at the level we need. Great fella but it's not worked out.
@@thelmaviaductnot so sure. As you can see his ability in flashes. End of the day, we have him and he is chaos and may be handy to come on here and there. And then see we’re he’s at the end of year.
It’s interesting to watch Nunez on the Curtis Jones goal. They are both within a few feet of each other and yet Curtis makes the useful run and McAllistar finds him whereas Nunez is rather clueless. Also Nunez is in danger of becoming a liability as he’s always offside. When checking for a possible third goal that Gakpo hammered in, was it a surprise to anyone that the player deemed to be interfering (unhelpfully) and was offside was Nunez
@@damedusa5107 flashes is no good, even we can hit top bins once in a blue moon. Imagine this side with a Torres in it. Nunez is basically an extra defender for the opposition, he clears the danger.
I agree with what Beth said that it is important for this Liverpool team to pull away from the rest especially if there is an opportunity to do so. Getting involved in title races in April when Arsenal and maybe City or Chelsea are back and everyone being separated by 3-5 points will not help us. Let's try and run 19/20 title Winning season run again 🤞
Yep, we need to be able to rest players in the league at the end of the season so we can win cups also. Smash the league and have a huge gap before the last month
That lil Nunez flick to find jones, before jones knocks it to Mo and he slides Macca in for the cut back..for the second goal 😂😂 Nunez definitely got chemistry with Mo
We were lucky to not concede much in the first quarter of the season. Conceding more now is just regression to the mean. Still playing the same and getting results.
We had a workman like performance to finish the match with a win. Nunez doesn't only start matches if Jota needs a rest or is hurt, Nunez should no long start games for us.
I don’t think it’s quiet… he’s our second biggest goal threat behind the best player in the world.. of a team who’s top of the league in Europe and domestically
25:17 he isn't unlucky. He literally just doesn't possess the necessary guile and/or finesse. You probably would not know that... have you ever kicked a ball or taken to the field?
If I have one (and it really is the only one) criticism of TAW, it is the over protectiveness of Núñez. Fundamentally we look worse with him in the starting line up. As an impact sub sure - the unpredictability is effective against tired opponents. As the only dysfunctional cog in an otherwise highly efficient system, he sticks out in the worst possible way. Stop making excuses for him
@@pamandeepsidhu8360 last season under klopp we played to nunez strengths and he ended up missing too many chances time and time again and eventually klopp had enough and benched him for the last 6-7 games he needs 4_5 chances to score 1 Goal not good enough
