The reason why there is Xbox buttons displayed for the first few controllers is because there is an Xbox controller emulator called X360 that is needed for the older PlayStation controllers to work 2. There was 2 versions of the PS1 controller. The one without analogs came out 1994 and the one with analogs came out in 1997
